How come the description shows like twenty options but I only have two? I wish it could block that little video player window thing on the bottom right that pops up when you go somewhere else on youtube. Nobody ever needed or wanted that ever.

Works exceptionally well, it doesn't just remove elements from YouTube, it actually re-formats it into a nice UI which I find better than the original.

It works and does its job well If you want to manage your time and avoid procrastinating then use unhook

When I toggle "Hide Mixes", instead of disappearing the feed only shows a blank space. You need to rectify this so that all mixes will be gone from my feed permanently. If you will be able to do this, I will give you five stars. Make this a top priority.

I am very thankful for this extension as I am someone who get lost in never ending youtube recommendation limbo. I used to use DNS blocker earlier but I used youtube for study too so, this helps me in the distraction and help me get my work done

This is so helpful for neurodivergent people! Like it makes it easier to avoid the overstimulation on YouTube with recommended videos, shorts, a homepage, and even little things like the photos on comments, the notifications, the random distracting symbols people add to their channel descriptions! It's just amazing, thank you seriously to whoever made this! I cannot go back to the way it was before. It's made YouTube so much more enjoyable without running into any barriers.

Hi there, this extension works like charm, thank you so much. This helps those who want to use YouTube as a learning tool. But recently I faced an error, I've installed another extension called Pocket Tube to boost my YouTube productivity. But after installing it I have noticed that the YouTube keeps refreshing whenever I try to open sidebar for accessing subscriptions. Initially, I thought it was due to that extension but when I report that they informed that happens only when users installed Unhook. after disabling your extension, the other one works normally. It would be great if you can check what's the issue.

Please make a similar application that works on android's native youtube app. please please please

That is a great chrome extension and am also using it on my mobile phone.

Simply works.

This extension gave me my creative life back. I was originally intending to use it to stop me from clicking onto recommended videos and just watch what was in my subscription box, but once I cut out everything except the basic video data, I was suddenly able to make the leap and go cold turkey. I will still watch videos people send to me, but without the worry of getting sucked into recommended videos now. I have so much more time in my life for the projects I want to complete now because I was able to kick my youtube habit, all thanks to this handy little extension. I feel so much more creatively charged now that my mind isn't constantly in that dreamy, let-the-screen-entertain-me mode. Letting myself be a little bored now and then has made me want to fill that boredom with creative projects! Thank you so much, really and truly. Please try this extension if you're considering it. Just do it. If you don't like it, you can always remove it and go right back to normal youtube. But if you're like me and you always feel too distracted to work on your art or your writing or your coding or whatever, and you easily get drawn into youtube instead because your brain tugs you towards the path of least resistance, try this. It's a bit rough at first, but once you get past that initial hurdle, you may find yourself not wanting to go back at all.

Probably the most useful extension I've ever installed. I tend to get pulled down the Youtube rabbit hole and end up wasting a lot of time because I just can't resist those clickbaity recommended videos. No more. I can now just watch what I went there to watch and get out. Problem solved. Thank you developer. I will definitely donate.

This extension is great for having control over what you see in YouTube. You can turn off distracting and time-wasting elements such as recommendations, suggestions, shorts, end cards, comments and sidebars with a high degree of control. The ability to watch YouTube mindfully without the algorithm influencing what I see is invaluable.

Please do something about shorts. The shorts tab is gone but they still appear on your subscriptions and if you click on one of them, you enter the rabbit hole. I installed "Youtube-shorts block" for now, which converts the shorts into normal videos. I hope to see the same functionality in Unhook in the future.

Bugged at the moment. Having this extension also removes Subscription portion from the sidebar, at least on Edge.

I wanted to use yt for my studies but i kept watching videos on my feed instead and this app helped me study instead of watching random videos lol

it doesn't block those stupid "shorts" videos from search results i'm not a fan of the youtube version of tiktok videos

Honestly really easy to use. Also, it can hide more than just the YouTube end cards that cover the video at the end of the screen. If you find yourself procrastinating a lot always clicking next, you can hide ALL video suggestions

One of the Best extensions for Youtube. One suggestion for developers, you can remove the word "hide" from every option, Just make it simple. Just the frame or tag name is enough, I think. BTW once again, Great extension.

very useful been using it years, but this afternoon it started redirecting all youtube pages to the home page had to disable it, hope the bug gets fixed.

Really nice set of features except for one thing, there's no option to block Shorts or fix the hyperlinks. I prefer to block them outright.

I found myself wasting hours watching youtube and somtimes reading the comments longer than watching the video. This is life changing and I highly recommend.

When it blocks out the videos I set it to hide, it just shows a grey box where the video would usually be, which is kind of annoying, since I mainly downloaded this so it would give me actual songs I like instead of mixes. It still takes up the entire page, but now it's just an empty space. Works well other than that tho
