It is just OK! We can't save documents in it. Also, No plagiarism checking. ProWritingAid and Grammarly are better than Ginger.

You have to sign up to get all site correction. Also why do you and Grammarly look so similar?

I just pay for the Premium - Lets see if worth the payment that I did! I'm a user of Grammarly, I hope that I took a good decision making the change.

I used this extension to see how it works. Ginger cannot detect passive verbs, wordy phrases, and overused words. The rephrase method doesn’t work well, and he confounds words. He cannot find the misuse of a semicolon and a faulty tense. There are more mistakes made by ginger than there are corrections. I don’t like the restriction that Ginger makes in their software. The subscription is too pricey, and it’s not working. I tested Ginger’s ability to find long words. The Customer Support Administration is not qualified to deal with technical issues. Promises of a priority to deal with the technical issues within 24 hours aren’t fulfilled within WEEKS. One thing I don’t like is that Grammarly doesn’t tell you the price of a subscription. If you are lucky, you can afford their subscription for half the price when they announce it on their website. Ginger hasn’t updated its software for several years. Grammarly can find up to 400 grammatical errors, including plagiarism. The rule at the University is that you mustn’t have above 25% of the plagiarized text in your diploma work. I’m surprised that the Ginger Company hasn’t included such a necessary function in its software. I might use it. Grammarly offers a team of proofreaders to check your document before it is ready to go. Ginger does not have this.

the best extension out there for grammar usually i suck at typing cuz i have to type fast and this fixes most of the issues in typing

Without it I'd be on a boat at sea without oars. However, a little more help with spelling a word to complete a sentence may be helpful. Thank you for helping me out, it does help to learn how to write better so thank you so much.

It's show you what mistakes

Grammar and Spelling Check is really good, overall, well sorted grammar checker; But it's like, now and then you have few software clinches. I preferred the usage of Grammar and Spelling Check in many of my internet letters. I hope GSC be around for many years; Then may be the lazy, Microsoft spellcheck be able to meet the minimum spell, correction challenge.

this one works for me it is so cool because i could read or write until the age of 50 now I will be 70 in 2023 and still learning the computer it is top of its field just great.

this actually looks like a copy of grammarly but it works well 3 stars.

I realllly love it the only reason why it's not THE best it's because the design I WOULD like a more user friendly surface BUT it's not about design it's about the actual product and I REALLY LOVE IT it realy helps me in my essays and stuff keep it up!

One problem I have with this is that I really want a website editor, this makes it so I can be organized with spell checking and grammar checking. Basically every grammar and spell checking extension has a website editor that is very organized.

The app is cool and all but there's a limit on it. You can only spell check like 3 words a day like replacing "its" with "it's" after those 3 corrections it disables. There's plenty of free extensions in the web store just like this one and they work way better because their free and receive more diagnostic and user data to make their apps a whole lot better. Save yourself some time having to look for a new extension a few days later because that's likely what you'll do after installing this extension. The software itself: - Often provides grammar and spelling suggestions which don't make sense, are blatantly wrong, or often sound like they were approved by a none native English speaker. - A bit buggy. - Doesn't seem to work on a lot of sites (i.e., Google Docs, which it is advertised to work for, but I couldn't get to even pop up). The UI: - A complete copy of its main competitor (Grammarly). The highlighting is the same, even the website is a blatant copy, down to the download button. The company: Though its older than Grammarly (by about a year) it doesn't have any reviews dated before 2018, which is conveniently when Grammarly launched it's first beta that included Google Docs support. The companies branding is also a down-to-the-T copy of Grammarly's.

It's like Grammarly! but only for Chrome. U can download Grammarly and use it everywhere but this is only for chrome.

Makes a good grammar extension!

i deleted the extension but the grammar sign just keeps staying there i deleted it multiple times but it just keeps staying there, it's annoying to look at really annoying

I have upgraded to monthly premium It does not show this status. it also does not tell how to use it .Download exe file can not run for want of some NET 4.7.1

How can they call this the World's #1 Grammar Checker? It's doesn't work. I just typed in the sentence, "Finally, the last lesson Clement's life shows indomitable courage." It came out with, "Finally, the last lesson Clement's live shows indomitable courage." Live? The last lesson of his live? What does that mean? Copy and paste the sentence and try it for yourself. It doesn't work. I'm switching back to Grammarly.

I don't know why people have left a bad review for this extension. I have tried out a couple of popular grammar checkers. Each had their own strengths but I wanted something that gave me all around features like grammar checker, rephrases, synonyms as well as an inbuilt dictionary to learn unknown words. This app provides me with every one of those features. Thanks to the dev team. My only suggestion is to increase the no of correction allowed for the free user per week to atleast 30. Otherwise superb app.

Liked the features. The fact that a pop up blocks your whole screen EVERY time you accepted a suggestion makes it nearly malware. Absolute waste of time.

The problem is that its just a clone of Grammerly for chrome, and isn't even a good one.

It Doesn't even work, I needed an extension to spell check for me sense I type often fast and the spell check I was using wasn't working well I was intrigued by this minimalistic design and the simple colors, Although my first thought was "this looks a lot like Grammarly" but I decided to give it a shot. tried to type but it didn't give me suggestions when I knew I was wrong, I typed in the box it gave me for corrections and still didn't work. Very disappointed, going back to Grammarly… this is a total rip off.

It doesn't work on my Google Drive word files. How can I add the extension to Google Drive?

As for me, this is a very useful software. Everybody must have.

For god sake STOP showing me full screen popup message on random webpages. I know I gave you access to all of my tabs. But that doesn't mean I give permission show show full screen deals message anywhere on the internet. (in my case when I was chatting in Microsoft Teams web).

Works fine here. Checks for, and offers suggestions for, errors. Don't understand reviews such as "It doesn't work" and with no explanation of why or how it allegedly doesn't work.

The extension is very helpful, but it only works on my Gmail, not my Google Chrome.

THANK YOU GINGER FOR THIS EXTENSION! I'm from Lebanon and my English level is not very good. I just joined a company where everyone communicates in English.. Thanks to Ginger, I can communicate with clients and colleagues without worrying about making stupid mistakes. It works on the apps I use everyday (Outlook, Zendesk, Notion...) and is very easy to use. It's like having another person that checks everything you write! I recommend this app to anyone who needs to make a good impression at work.

A recent update has made this a total PIA! Instead of underlining issues in red so they can be easily found and corrected, it now only puts a tiny number down in the lower right corner. You then have to go back and touch every. single. word. with your mouse to find out what the issues are! It's completely inconvenient.

this is a best app

Ginger's performance is OK. Not great, not bad, just what I expected for a free service, nothing more. It corrects basic grammar, like tense or voice problems, while cannot do anything a little higher. It recognizes a little more mistakes than Gmail's grammar check, but occasionally makes wrong corrections. The best of of this extension is its shortcut to Ginger Editor, which is a great tool to do a quick check on long essays. One piece of advise: use Ginger with caution. It messes up what ever you type in some situations like Dropbox overview box and Facebook chat window.

this app seems malicious cause this extinction forced my commuter to download Norton security extension for no reason ,also it was trying to download some software into my computer, i would not recommend this extension .

I was looking for a good extension to help me with my writing on google docs, but when I tried to turn it one. It told me that Ginger doesn't work on google docs, so I thought that the extension wasn't that good.

Not very happy with this tool, i unfortunately not able to find LANGUAGE TOOL (LT) for UCbrowser otherwise i would have never tried this extension. very bad clunky

Hii, I was unable to use and I paid 2 time . can I refund which i paid today. I have already paid on USD 89.98 on 10th Dec and unable to use since I was not able to use. I paid again today on 26th Dec 2019. can I get money back and can I use the premium version. There is no helpline number

Catches all my errors and helps me communicate more effectively. The only downside I've found is that Ginger is a stickler for "proper english" and wants to add "the's" and other terms, when they aren't really necessary due to my writing style on my blog. Other than that, it's rainbows & unicorns!

It's been about 30 mins using this extension and I like it so far. Only thing I didn't like is the fact that it forced me to sign in. Woww... I just found that it doesn't work on chrome.google.com/webstore

Looks like the old grammaraly interface

The extension spams the browser developer tools console area. Please don't have your extension write to console, it make me want to uninstall it. I'll update my rating if this is changed.

Not as good as Grammarly, but still nice.

I had "Ginger" several years ago and it was with much trepidation that I started using it again, so before I wrote a review I needed to use it again, and believe me I fed it with many errors this past month and not purposefully. I am completely taken back with the improvements and hats off to the software engineers. I surely need spelling and particularly grammar assistance and there was a time that "Ginger" was not smooth in how it interacted with you, but the improvements I have noticed, it could very well be the best on the internet, as I have tried them all, let me tell you. It is near seamless in how it interacts with the writer and at times you hardly know you even have it. I need to improve my writing much more, and if you pay attention to what it actually is directing you to do on the grammar front, you will need it less each day you use it, but regretfully that does not apply to this old man. I will always feed it plenty of near humorous spelling errors. You know the rules folks, and it is an easy Five Stars.

Wasn't told that there is a limited number of corrections unless UPGRADE. Will delete. Stupid. Tell me upfront or never mind.

We at Fusion Initistive are fairly new clients of Ginger Suites and wea ppreciatye the assistance a great deal. Hoeever, we have spent probably 45 minutes of precious time tonight renewing our sign ins everty time we complete all or even part of a project, It similarly seems that we need to sign in de novo each time that we re start our working sessions and this all adds to up to critical time better invested in substantive productive work. It would be greatly appreciated if you could explore any alternative that provide the security you are clearly seeking for both of our firms while not absorbing 3% of our aggregate time and, frankly some assopciated frustration that redundant validation seems to engender.

Its a very unsatisfactory performance on Gmail , the Premium version is not active yet . Kindly rectify the problem of you have to refund the money

very useful

It's trash, many of the corrections were so wrong. I'm constantly writing/typing and it was an awful experience to the point i had to back away from my computer. It's nothing more than a copycat and the fact that you have to pay to continue is nothing more than a sad joke!

The corrections that the extension tried to make were incorrect; it did not even use context from the sentence to correctly change pronouns. Disappointing.

I pay but it doesn't work! I can't login with google chrome! please fix it for me as soon as possible. :(((
