It is great for podcasts and slow youtube videos. I got it for Spotify podcasts, but it has been helpful a lot of other place. It is very customizable and a generally high quality extension!
Was looking for a extension to control the volume levels for other open tabs from one tab and this one offers it and other functions as well!

Best one on the market, to be honest, I don't want any of you to have it except me lol. Just a few small points but once he adds that it will be perfect. Such as working on YouTube advertisements and some other I forgot.

Worked amazingly for several years on every website. Recently Netflix updated it's website and somehow stops the extension from doing it's Intended purpose. Once playing a movie or an Episode it works fine, however after pausing it and playing again it gets reset to 1.0x speed. I have tried enabling Ghost Mode on the Extension; That didn't really seem to help either. I've emailed the Author of this issue, please respond to this if you are experiencing the same issue! I have also tried using a different extension, didn't fix the issue either.
I've been looking for an extension like this for the longest time. It does exactly what it says it does, on any website I've navigated to: plays the video/audio at your requested speed. It's perfect. If you're like me and you watch a lot of YouTube tutorials at 1.5x speed, this is for you.

The only extension that truly deserves 5 stars. Love it. Does everything it needs to do and more. If you look closely, there are actually some extra keybinds hidden in the settings that are pretty useful.

Its easy to find extensions that speed up video, but I listen to audio files online and I was unable to find one that worked well for just audio files. this one is perfect and does exactly what I need!

Thank you very much for making this -- I was very recently losing my mind that Sound Cloud doesn't have a playback control. I love that it literally took only four clicks to go from not having it installed to having the podcast playing at 1.5x speed.

One of the best and most useful extensions I've ever used! So much utility, it saved me a lot of time and brought QoL improvements for consuming content. Setting speed of any media is easy and can be customized to your liking. The ability to have global hotkeys for speed and going backwards is amazing - now I can just press my combo to go back a few seconds if I didn't see/hear something in the video on my second monitor, without leaving whatever it is I'm doing on my main screen. I've been looking for an extension like this one, but none could do all the things I wanted them to except for this one.

this is the best video speed controller program in the chrome web store. The program give you chance to change everything. The things all you need is just in this extension. I love this program. You can control audio delay and video size.
I've been using it for 6 months, works perfect for me! It has everything I need and even more than that. Also the fact that it works on almost every site is amazing. This is my favourite speed changer extension yet :D

This is an essential feature-rich extension that's exceptionally well made. But it should come with the keyboard shortcut keys OFF (unchecked) by default to avoid workflow anomalies. It should also be renamed more descriptively so it's easier/more intuitive to find in the web store.

FINALLY! I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS FUNCTION FOR YEARS! This extension allows you to pause live radio streams, allowing you to sync your home radio announcer with the video stream. It even provides a nice and easy UI for you to control both video and radio stream in a small box. I would give this 11/10 if I could. THANK YOU!

This is a great extension which has a lot of customizable feature. Unlike Video Speed Controller which has 2million+ downloads! I was using it for daily basis, but yesterday i installed 'Global speed' extension on MS Edge and kinda surprised. The only lack is there is no option for local speed only. Hope you will bring the feature. Waiting patiently, Thanks for your hard work!

The best extension out there. This makes browsing so, so much smoother— love being able to jump forward and backwards on video players with ease.
I love this extension 5 stars because you can put the speed faster but also you can put the video minimisation so you can do all you want and seen the video.
Best thing in my life. Has worked on every video I have came across. If a video is not responding to the speed then enable ghost mode and that does the trick for me. They mention that some sites "Try to block website from changing speed. [Ghost mode is] Disabled by default because it might break some websites." So just turn it off once you're done. Seriously great for school and just consuming content in general.
The best speed controling extension by far. The customizability and options are unmatched. I started having problems with the other most popular one and I'm glad I did because this one blows it out of the water. Shortcuts (hotkey) editor, URL rules, customizable appearance, etc. Hope this keeps on being supported. I couldn't live without it, as someone that finds anything below 2x speed too slow to watch.

I had accidentally overlooked that step but Poly mentions it in the pop up page that comes after you install this extension.

Excellent extension; thank you to the developer. This extension has all of the features of the other audio and video manipulation extensions plus a great number of tricks of its own up its sleeve. If you happened to set the ScreenCaptureAllowed policy to false, then it must be removed or set to true to enable the audio capturing part of this extension.

This is awesome!!! I got it for YouTube videos and was surprised when it works on almost all online video things. Its super nice and is easy to use. I use it on Hulu and make the ads go at 16x speed so basically ad free Hulu.
Doesn't actually seem to do anything in YouTube on Chrome. Not sure what the point of this extension is, there's no documentation to help me figure out why it's not doing anything...

Really good plugin for chrome!!! It's super useful for me because I listen to podcasts online and very often, they use music players without build-in playback speed controls. This plugin works wonders! Though there're a small number of music player extensions that doesn't respond to the global speed plugin for some reason. But still, it's good enough! Thanks!! :)

Awesome, and works across all the major video platforms, including BitChute, Nebula, Minds, Rumble, etc, as well as podcasts. Oh and YouTube and Facebook if you still use those. There's a version of it for the new Edge, too. The +- speed is great, and many of the alt tech sites don't support the left button, so you can bind a key to a backwards step if you miss something - at a configurable step size.

This developer is on a rampage of falsely accusing other add-ons being copied from their code. Stop abusing other developers, it doesn't get you anywhere. Also, this extension code is super easy to write, there are tons of extension providing similar functionalities, nobody even bothers looking at your github repository, let alone copy from there. You should work at adding better functionalities to your extensions, not focus your energy at abusing other's efforts.
TLDR: Great Extension! Love the functionality! I now use this as my main video speed tool in both chrome and edge. The author has clearly put in a lot of effort into the app. They were also very responsive to feature requests on GitHub, and added useful keyboard shortcuts.
