This is OP
Much better than BlockSite extension. I'm using the extension for 10 minutes, but already recognize benefits of time tracking on websites! Nice
best one yet
This extension has weird moralizing you're-going-to-hell scare language in regards to the unnecessary adult website blocking functionality, and also is a paid product. If all you're looking for is a simple study aid that lets you put every single one of your distraction/timesink websites in and the ability to toggle on when you're studying and off when you're relaxing, move along. Unless you shell out the cashola, it only lets you block up to four sites.
Can we set a password on removing this extension? While removing the extension where did my partner receive the message?
i would like to know if there's any way to also apply the extension for incognito mode
really helpful
Super helpful, love it guys! thnank you!
Good for being free
Thank you so much you helped me alot
Great extension, however it would be nice for the chrome version to have the same settings for incognito mode as the normal browser version does so that it isn't as easy to turn off/give in
very nice extension
Very useful! thanks Please we need password protection feature to deactivate or uninstall it.
It is a great extension. As it stands, it functions perfectly, just as advertised. There are a few things that I would like to be changed/added: * I believe the limit for black/white listing websites should be expanded for freemium accounts. I believe 10 is a good limit. (Furthermore, it feels arbitrary that the limit is shared between websites and keywords.) * There will always need to be work to add websites to the native blocking list. New websites are created on the daily, and it's just a matter of time until the app is out of sync with the vast amount of pages unchecked. Thus, I propose that a feature to report a website to be added to the native block list should be included. This would benefit other users who don't have the conscienciousness to add unchecked websites to their blocking list. If this is implemented successfully, I retract my previous statement about expanding the block list size. * An option to reset the streak should be included as well. This could be used by users that relapse from external sources, and would like to keep track of their momentum. Even with these 'lapses' the application is still very usable, even in freemium. The first and second items can be amended by enhancing the scope of blocked websites, using other extensions or external tools in conjunction with BlockerX.
excellent job
what a great apps
Awesome experirnce
super useful
its good
Good
Its very helpful, it blocks websites, images, and videos on the browsers. I absolutely recommend this. also... i like the tool because if you try to turn off this, you had to unlock the code to turn it off, wich is great. Its worth it. I recommend this for people who have difficulty to overcome porn-addiction. also great for safety for kids. best blocker than other blocker tools!
How do I succeed in NoFap?
I adore blockerx because it permits me to have a stronger sense of my atmosphere than I've ever been.
Amazing extension, has helped me a lot in my nofap journey till now. The best feature is that I've to get an OTP from my friend if I want to make some changes and obviously my friend never gives me the OTP. It is the best and most useful extension for me.
good one
this extension is good thanks
I bought a life time premium at February and I just find out they made a major update last week, change the whole UI and cancel my premium, what angers me more is that the customer service guy told me they cannot find my order. This is a total scam, will report it to google.
every no fapper need this
I contacted customer service asking if buying a lifetime premium for the app would transfer that same subscription over to the Chrome extension. Unfortunately, it does not. The person I spoke with said I'd have to pay for both services, which is a ripoff. The customer service rep said that they were offering a $99.99-lifetime subscription fee on their website when I'd already paid for their $199.99-lifetime service on the app, which worked at the time of my purchase amazingly. Granted, payment is optional, but even with the latest update, it has yet to work as well as it has been, making paying for their app scammy. Why do services like these need to be split like this other than wanting more money out of you? Overall, I'd go with someone with better integrity and services that don't make you pay for multiple platform services when it should all be on one payment for various devices.
just best changed my life
Great extension. worked for me
Helped me out so much
Has the folowing..... (Incognito mode) Which was my main issue that i was loking for in a blocker (Password) So you don't easily turn them off, which was another bad habbit of mine
Just testing it. Does it only have a free 3 day pro version trial? Is the free version just limited? What's the difference?
It helped
Great extension
BlockerX is a great porn blocker and it has helped me quit porn online. I only wish it was available for FireFox
Works great never had any major problems using it, 100% recommend
Great extension, can you please add edit option in accountability partner
There are two competitors I compare it to: LeechBlockNG and BlockSite. LeechBlockNG is completely free, *very powerful*, and versatile. You can use regular expressions (look it up) to precisely choose *types of phrases* that need to match when blocking, password protect it, and undo blocking on *certain sets* for a period of time. So you can require a password to unlock YouTube for 15 minutes. The regular expressions can prevent subversion of keyword matching (e.g. googling 'por-n') *Importantly*, LeechBlockNG supports keyword matching on the contents of the webpage, not just the title. BlockSite is less aggressively monetized, supports cloud profiles, and blocks pages immediately upon matching (turning BlockerX on won't block pages already opened). However, the keyword matching can be easily subverted. IIRC, the title of a webpage is checked, not just the URL. BlockerX forces safesearch and doesn't allow subversion of keyword matching. Unfortunately, it's not very customizable- for example, there's no option to not force safe mode on YouTube. Also, it appears not to act on the title of a webpage, only the URL. UPDATE: BlockerX has recently just stopped working in general. Blocking safe pages, not signing in properly, I hate it.
Good work
Awesome UI , must have extension for avoiding distraction during work.
Must have chrome extension.
Broo this was lit, My friend addicted to them since a very long time and I was worried about him. Now I have installed this secretly in his lap and he is fine now
great work from blockerX team it is really very helpful.
Enjoyed this app.. It blocks not only adult content but also other distractive websites. Increased my productivity over the last five days. Completely Hooked!!!
Great extension, loved this new UI.
BEST BLOCKER ON CHROME STORE. LOVED IT
it is really good and blocks most porn site but it also blocks some random stuff like the wikipedia page for chicxulub crate
After the latest update it started blocking random websites on its own like outlook, certain news sites, even google?? Should not have removed the option to whitelist sites ?
After the latest update they got rid of the whitelist site option, they need to bring that back.
FINALLY SOMETHING THAT WORKKSS
Thank you soo much! it's really helping me stay safe.
my yt is blocked
A password lock for changing the settings would be appreciated. Everything else is great, easily the best to block adult content on the browser.
This is the best app I've ever used on Google Chrome, tk you so much! For those who want to "cure" the addiction, this is the best. You can block pictures as well when you use some "keywords". For example: Beefy, muscle, daddy, and other things :))). Yup It does work.
Awesome extension Using since 2019
The premium feature only prevents you from turning it off. You can still remove the extension from Chrome without needing the access code. It should prevent you from turning it off and removing it from Chrome.
very good
Extension doesn't block blacklisted websites. useless. Have emailed customer services many times and they ignore me. No response.
Awesome app ever!!!!!!
Extension works, but the blocker seems too far reaching. When trying to view other blocker sites it would block those as well. I don't know if this is trying to prevent competition or what but it was very annoying.
For some reason, the websites I blocked are still able to use. Please help
it is blocking sites and vidoes which don't contain adult content
Amazing application I recommend this application to every parent who have young children or people who are tryna fight their p*rn addiction.
it not user friendly
Works well. A little too well. The add on definitely blocks all adult content. In addition to a vast amount of non adult content. So far I have had all the following get blocked: a website discussing the dangers of pornography A thai restaurant website A page on archaeology a Chess website Half of a website about shoes (seemingly at random) and several others I have a theory that it just checks words and blocks the page if it sees words it doesn't like, however this causes some serious issues on several sites. Seemingly at random. And, with no option to whitelist, this causes serious issues very quickly.
good waiting for this
As of having it for only a minute, it's the best free solution to blocking websites on chrome desktop. Set it and forget it, and add the websites that you additionally want to have blocked. Works with google search as well. On an apple phone, you can do similar things through Apples internal software; but on desktops, not so much. Great solution.
This extension blocks seemingly benign websites like Ikea and my email inbox. This doesn't appear to have an option to whitelist certain sites, so I had no choice but to remove it.
So far it doesnt work with the words no bra downblouse And many instagram accounts I need this to be as strict as possible
its good but u can easily uninstall it
It won't let me look at comments on YouTube. I don't like it. They have to fix it, but at least I'm away from those distracting sites.
this is doing what its supposed to be doing. its blocking all the porn web searches and its helping me keeping me away from these sites.
Truly, Thank you!
Tons of false positives, blocks random youtube links, pages on my healthcare website, just doesn't work.
Difficult to use I have blockerX for the Android and it works great. The issue is having it for Chrome for a PC. I am unable to go to ANY sites unless I whitelist them first. Simply going to google.com, or even trying to get into to pay my electric bill, the blocker stops me. On Andriod, a nifty update shows why I am being blocked, but on chrome for a PC, I have no idea why blocker is activated. Please, can this get fixed?
enormous work .....work in incognitio
Love the app on phone, even have a premium account. App on pc is awful tho, it blocks not only adult content but also normal webpages that contain nothing erotic. On top of that there is no option to whitelist safe sites, makes browsing a hell sometimes.
Cool but dysfunctional. Blocks YouTube because of comment section, restricts comment section (I think), and very unreliable in it finding a keyword like 'eroge'. There's no option to whitelist any websites which is maddening.
So I think this Extension is really good but the main issue is that its too easy to uninstall and remove words and term i have blocked. If you made it like your app on the play store i would have no complaints at all.
Added 4 similar ext, this one worked like a charm!
This extension is quite effective in blocking porn but lacks some key features: 1. There is no whitelist 2. Forcing safe search should be optional The lack of a whitelist is quite a problem as this sometimes blocks websites inappropriately, including pornography addiction support groups. For safe search, I really want to stay away from porn sites, but safe search sometimes blocks things inappropriately as well and I need full search options for my work. Means I have to turn this off while I work.
uninstalled this app but still get this now "Some results have been removed because Restricted Mode has been enabled by your network administrator." for all youtube results. Broke my youtube even turning off restricted mode in youtube i now still get this
this is an amazing extension i love this, especially the android app also. so,try check it out too
This is a really useful tool for anyone that has an addiction and needs to break it, but I can't lie, this program is full or bugs that make it really frustrating. The main bug I'm referring to is that the verification code system doesn't work. Every time I need to access a site that shouldn't be blocked yet for some reason is anyway, and my friend gives the code to me it just says I need to use it again, and I know it's the right code! On top of that, I can't sign into my account on the phone, it just says that my email is already under parental control, whatever that means. Finally, for the PC version, it really needs a whitelist site option like the app. That would fix the problem I stated earlier, meaning I wouldn't have to be in my account and make sure it syncs across all devices to make sure certain websites are whitelisted. So do I dislike this app? No. I think it's great. But these are some irritating problems that really need to be fixed.
i have premium, and i can still access adult content.
Works as expected but MS office is blocked
amazing really great
I'm not able to view the youtube comments after installing this extension. It's showing restricted mode has hidden comments. But i can see the comments in other browsers. Please look into it, also unistalling the extension didnt work.
first day on my no porn streak. wish me luck. time to improoooooooov
This is the best app I've used so far. Reading through the other reviews, I haven't had any of the same annoyances that everyone else has. Maybe this means they've been fixed, as of Sep. 2, 2020 :). But yes, I got premium, made my wife my accountability partner, and got the software on my Mac and my android. They seal it up tight, and I have not found any way around it without having to explicitly get an access code from my wife. Literally a life saver. Increases productivity, and builds a lot of trust in our relationship :). Pair it with an app like Qustodio, for ex., and you're all set.
Not the same as on mobile it is not letting me run application, easily removable, no keywords to block specific content I am a premium member
Blockerx is working excellent on android, but on chrome I am also experiencing many bugs. Please resolve. When I am not signed in it works fine, but as soon as I sign in into my premium account, it is literally blocking everything (even sites like amazon, gmail, etc.) when only the keyword based blocking is on. And when I turn on VPN blocking, although it no longer blocks non-adult sites(amazon, gmail, etc) but then, the keyword based blocking or individual website blocking no longer works. Please help.
Extension for Chrome works, but for some reason, the PC version will not install on my computer. Would like assistance, if possible, to ensure everything explicit can be blocked.
The extension works pretty well.
It works effectively for Google Chrome, but it's still easy to just disable the extension and bypass the blocker to view adult content still. Plus, when I downloaded the premium subscription for Windows, it created more problems for me than solutions. I was still able to bypass the blocker through another browser called CCcleaner. Plus, they make it really difficult to uninstall the app and it creates and error prompt indicating a 24 hour timer to delete the app, which I suppose is the purposeful design of the app so that way one can't just delete it to view more adult content. They have not responded to my subscription cancellation request, albeit it has not been a full 24 hours since I requested my subscription to be cancelled. I think it can be effective but it just didn't work out for me. I wouldn't say that this thing is useless because it does work but, personally, in my own opinion, I would not get the premium subscription.
wikipedia pages are not opening.
This extension is great for blocking porn but it also blocks a lot of other none porn related content like anime and skillshare
i finally have an extension that can effectively block porn. The other issue I had with blockers was that I could just go to google images and find nude/adult pictures very easily. However, this isn't showing me any nude images even when I search by the names of porn stars. I'm not sure how they are doing it but it's really awesome that the blocker can completely take me out of this content.
It blocks everything... Literally! I can't even look at my amazon cart or login into my college account without being it being blocked because it's "inappropriate content."
no doubt app is brilliant. but not working on incognito mode. solve this pls
I hope it will add in accountability partner soon!
Best adult content blocker for chrome. Parents can install on kids computers.
This is one of the most effective porn blockers that I have seen. It even blocks google search when I type in any adult word.
