it's very simple and i like it, but it just doesn't work on twitter at all
Sometimes you can't block websites and it says "Remove undefined from the Blacklist"
How to block add frames if I want block all *add* in url. Simply.
It didn't work at all. I would click the one Single button available, "blacklist site" and it did nothing. I clicked it over and over and the site still kept popping up over and over! removed.
works great but occasionally breaks and reads all sites as undefined
its fast and easy to use . tnx
Did what it said it would do when it was enabled, but after removing it it left me with an error in Chrome: "Error in event handler for (unknown): TypeError: Cannot read property 'length' of undefined at doBlacklistCheck". Probably going to have to reinstall chrome to get rid of this thanks to this extension.
Unfortunately, I can't use it anymore, because when you press the unblockbutton more than once, the counter goes faster. With this workaround, this extension doesn't do it for me anymore.
Super quick and easy! BUT, you have to load the page to block it!?! Some are dangerous, but to block it you need to visit the site... If you could manually add sites, say into some external file, this would be the only "Blacklist" extension you would need!
Does exactly what I needed with one click. Thanks.
Pop-ups will still open a new window, but all content it would try to show and annoying "are you sure you want to leave this page" messages are stopped by it.
I needed to blacklist a site, and it worked
Doesn't even give you the option to insert links into blacklist log.
Does what it is supossed to do. BUT is VERY INTRUSIVE and pops up ads ALL THE TIME. I hadf to BLACKLIST, THE BLACKLIST. Seriously...
Great app, though it would be great if I could see/edit the list of currently blacklisted websites. In addition, if the option to automatically close the websites would be great as well.
It would be more cool if it didn't bring the page up
Awful. Will not accept redirect URL addresses. These are addresses that quickly redirect to other random URL's and open unwanted tabs as popunders. This is URL blocking 101 and Blacklist cannot do it.
Does what I need. Feature Suggestion: Temporary whitelist I have Amazon blacklisted so that I don't shop, but sometimes I want to check it out for something quick. My current workflow: un-blacklist, wait 15 secs (this is good), do what I need to do, re-blacklist. A temp un-blacklisting would simplify this. Say a 5-10 window.
Works, but no management. You can only block a site when it's opened. Also it can only block the whole site instead of a certain page.
Perfect. Exactly what I was looking for to stop me wasting time randomly surfing when I should be working.
Works exactly how it says. Helpful for blocking certain sites that I know are full of viruses, spam, malware, etc. Very simple, but effective. Hasn't been updated in two years as of this posting, but still works fine.
Needs functionality to allow specified subdirs of a domain.
I click "blacklist" and all it does is tell me about the blacklist plugin. No indication how to use it, no help, no instructions.
Marvin is right, you have to go to the site first. So if you have a known hack site, you cannot simply add it to the list. Don't bother
Helps me avoid entering pages by impulse. A great tool for procrastinators like me. Now a days we live in a world full of free and unnecessary entertainment. Thank you.
Awesome! Chrome on Mac doesn't seem to use /etc/hosts, so I needed another way to block things.
Fantastic! Does the job and does it well.
The concept is great but i needed an option to block certain subidrectories of a site, not the whole site.I was surprised when i couldn't visit any of the other subdirectories for the intended site because this extension didn't allow me to.
Needs ability to manually add domains and sites. Some sites are now employing tactics that make it impossible to leave the site short of closing your browser in the Task Manager.
does what it's supposed to do and nothing else
A little suggestion: add a separate simple page for each black listed site and enable the user to write why to blacklist the site so that he or she can remember why or insist on blacklisting it
Works great! Prefer this over StayFocusd because I wanted to just block certain sites permanently, and StayFocusd has a minimum 1 minute block. Prefer this over BlockSite because this actually works. BlockSite seemed to always let you visit the site the first time, and then blocks it after the first visit. Plus this icon looks better.
Super simple and convenient to use. Love it =)
