Helps me transpose youtube videos. amazing controls in the app. kudos to the dev

Transposes well, works on any website, neat looping feature, generally pretty cool. My only complaints are that looping only works on tenths of a second and Soundcloud always has it's audio maxed out when this extension is active.

I think, over the last decade, the pitch of the music on Youtube started sounding way different than how I remembered it back when I was in high school. Or maybe my ears are just different. Either way, this extension allows me to put my favorite music back to the way it originally sounded -- to me. And this makes me very, very happy.

************When you open a new video in a new tab, the pitch transpose setting is not being carried over, and you would like to find a way to keep it unchanged.so it would better to give a *save changes* Button. like unchanged pitch and transpose. For exp: when i open the browser again or new tap , its transpose and pitch become reseted.

It does the job. You can increase the pitch to your favourite songs, speed up the production. It makes so much difference to listening to music. I would recommend this to anyone who want to hear the higher notes in singers which get lost when listening it to standard hz. Helps with PTSD as it increases es the frequencies you hear on tv.

I can't believe this extension was a fake. It doesn't even work for any player at all and refuses to even do its job, even with proper permissions and following tips and orders, and didn't even do a damn thing. Unbelievable!

Never seen an extension like this. Honestly incredible how it can actively pitch down/slow down what you're listening to on Youtube.

This chrome extension is really helping me to learn beginning blues harmonica. It works perfectly and easily allows me to slow down and transpose songs so that they fit with the harps I have. Absolutely fantastic! Thanks so much!

By far the most convenient and easy to use transposing extension. I can play along with any song without having to retune (Floyd Rose users, you know what I mean), and I can even adjust the pitch to play along with songs with odd tunings.

I can use this to practise playing along to songs that weren't recorded in the key I need. I had a previous (different) extension that did this, but its transpose was fiddly to use and wasn't even accurate in pitch! This one is nice and simple to use and works perfectly.

This is the best yet. As a singer I use tracks all the time and some days you just need a different key or want to test your voice with a different tempo. Now I can do this on the fly. No more downloading, transposing, saving a new file. Just found out, if you click the 3 dots you can use it with an uploaded track from your device too. Absolutely amazing. Thank you ??

Great tool for guitar practice. Now I can play with my favourite youtube backing tracks, without having to use pitch shift vst plugins, which always degrades the original sound of an electric guitar to some extent.

The best extension I've ever had... makes every single song and piece I listen to sound so different yet same and amazing!

Very laggy and resets on Spotify

Well done! You are a friend to musicians. The design is clever, with just the right tools for tune-learning, but not so many that we get distracted!

I tune all my guitars down a half step. This plugin has been a godsend when learning new songs!

Love using this extension, very helpful when needing to play for the church band and they play in different keys than the original track. Super helpful instead of learning the song and then transposing on guitar. Reached out to the owner after experiencing issues (needed to update Chrome) and they were super responsive and helpful.

Amazingly good! Helpe me a lot while practicing guitar. There's no audible artifacts when transposing audio (from either YouTube or SoundCloud) and there's so many options to alter the sound, it's so good!

I would give this extension and its developer 100 Stars if I could because not only did this meet a need that I've had for at least a couple of years but in the time before I had found this extension, I had been trying to make do with several other extensions that combined still weren't capable of meeting my particular needs in the way that Transpose can and does. That said, upon discovering it I was obviously elated but there was one minor issue that was keeping me from being able to completely switch to this extension and get rid of the others I have been using and that was the lack of a keyboard shortcut for adding markers. There was the option to jump to the first 9 markers which is more than sufficient however there was not a shortcut for adding a marker and as trivial as it sounds for my use case this was actually not as trivial as it might seem so I took a few minutes to provide the developer with feedback and my respective feature request and the response back I got was not to say that it couldn't be done or that it could but it would need to wait until the next update but rather it was to say that it had already been made. This absolutely blew me away, I couldn't have possibly asked for such quick turnaround time! Needless to say that one tweak the developer made to satisfy my request has made this extension perfect in my eyes and has saved me so much time and effort and I couldn't possibly be more grateful. I highly recommend that you try Transpose out if you have *any* use case for which you think that it might benefit you, even if it's outside of the box (for example, I don't actually use Transpose for what I believe it had originally been developed for, i.e., to help practicing musicians but I get enormous utility from the video bookmarking and playback speed capabilities, as I need to review endless amounts of footage for work. As such, anything that serves to make my work and the associated processes more streamlined/efficient is beyond appreciated and welcomed!) Thank you, dev for creating and sharing this invaluable tool with the world! I'll be sure to support continued development/maintenance with a contribution.

This is an excellent product and well worth the money. I use it mostly to repeat a section of music I am practicing on flute. I requested a delay feature and Sjaak just added it and this is very helpful for songs with no introduction, like some jazz pieces. Way to go!

Just getting "no media found" on videos that it used to work on. Please let me know when it's fixed and I'll happily adjust the rating. Update - Seems to be working again! It doesn't look like an update was published since my last review so I'll just chalk it down to a one-off. I've otherwise used this extension for a year or two and it's worked great!

Revert the "update"! It now auto resets every video and won't work outside of YouTube if I don't keep it in tab capture mode! :( Swapped to Music Speed Changer, it does exactly what this used to do for me. Update for 28/9/22 still broken... Update for 17/10/22 it's much better now, it no longer resets, but still has trouble finding media outside of YouTube.

There's some audio delay on my chromebook.

I loved using the transpose function to listen to music in a different pitch. I used to use it on spotify because it would stay on between songs, but now every time it switches songs, the app resets itself; so I have to constantly change it. It was not always like this so it must have been a recent change that I hope is fixed. Otherwise, great app.

It was bad, I didn't even have the option to pitch the video. I tried to Tab capture the video but it didn't let me. This extension is very limited to the amount of options they have.

Fantastic and simple plug in. Have had a glitch or two with it not working properly but seems to be fine now. So absolutely useful for Musicians practising especially being able to transpose the key of a song and slow songs down. Thank you!

yup i always loved using this tool since the first time i got it until the update completely ruined it all... UPDATE: welp now i'm glad to see this extension be back to normal again after that other bland update originally had it in hot water (but the only flaw that's forgotten is the extension on other audio-supported websites with this "no media found" issue)

a glitch where whenever i pitch it after the song is over it removes the pitch and doesnt let me pitch ive tried reinstalling it but nothing works plz fix this

They just had to ruin my favourite extension did they. It was a big mistake for them to limit the usage of this extension to only Youtube.

I Have Perfect Pitch

What happened to this extension? It now can't capture the audio/video stream for pitch change. This used to be one of my favorites. All the other extensions with pitch change sound distorted or it sounds like you are going through a pipe or a jet. This one was crisp and clear, and with some small fine-tuned adjustments, you could get it in tune in a different key, especially if the song was originally in a different key. Tab Audio Capture is ridiculous as you have to keep it open for it to work. What good is that? Put back the stuff that worked in the previous version. This update made it worse.

I've been using this extension since 2020. The app was been perfect until now. This new "update" is such a downgrade, and now everytime we have to set the transposer for every single video.

Please fix this or revert it back to the way it was before version 5.04.

This extension used to be good. they completely ruined it with the latest update :( I was using it for years just fine and i even paid for the pro subscription. im so upset about this

I've used this extension for the longest time (mainly for pitch adjustment) and I loved it. However, due to the recent 5.04 update, everytime I click away from the tab or minimize it while it's in tab-capture mode, the pitch resets itself back to 0 and it's been so annoying having to keep changing the pitch everytime this happens. Can you guys please fix this or revert it back to the way it was before version 5.04?

This used to be AWESOME, but suddenly with version 4.0 the sound seems to have deteriorated, but a sort of bubbly undertone. What happened?

It Was Okay But The Sounds Were Choppy

It works on YouTube website, but doesn't work on YouTube or YouTube Music chrome app although the extension seems to load but with all grayed out button as if it couldn't detect the music or video.

No way to set videos to loop automatically nor section to repeat.

I've used this extension for over a year. It used to work flawlessly and did exactly what I needed it to do even though I did not pay for the premium version. However, when the premium version and the formerly free version were combined, there was a sharp downgrade in quality of the extension. It has to be reset every so often to stop the audio from crackling or just not working at all, and it's really, really annoying. I've tried turning the extension on and off, but that only makes it work better for a couple days. Overall, a good extension, but it used to be so much better. No clue what happened; would love the older version back, thanks.

The sound is cracking and choppy when used.

I was skeptical, but it works flawlessly on youtube videos, in real time, and it even has markers to loop segments. Love it.

This controller would be excellent if it simply had changed the natural pitch of the song as i change the speed by a percentage (1.5 speed would also be 1.5x higher pitch, like a vinyl record, or a nightcore remix). Spotify speed controller has this, for instance. They just have a box you can tick that will maintain the pitch or not. This leads to far far less artifacts in audio quality, especially when slowing things down. Varispeed controls would make this product perfect, and I don't believe it would be too hard to implement. I love that this product works on any audio or video, it's just *chef's kiss. I also have seen some pitch shifters that tend to use transient detection in their algorithm, leading to much much higher quality of sound that preserves impacts and whatnot, especially when speeding up music. I'm not expecting something like that anytime soon, but I thought it was worth mentioning, as I don't know the capabilities of the creator. the only other complaint I could have it that the speed controller requires that I know or find the tempo, which i don't mind, but again a varispeed controller would fix this problem.

Great tool for practicing or generally working out different key/transpositional arrangements. In my experience the audio quality was great with very little artifacts or glitching of the audio on even the most extreme settings. Only giving 4 stars as I couldn't get the tempo or loop functions operating in any capacity but the primary use of the extension still stands! Great stuff

I used to have to download a YouTube video and put it into Transpose, But with this tool, I can do all the things I need to do to learn a tune: slowdown, loop sections I'm trying to focus on, transpose if it's in a weird tuning or key. Very useful. I love that you can set new loop section points and quickly go to new ones.

You know when people say learning music today is very easy compared to the 90's? This is one of the reasons.

When this extension works, it's absolutely amazing. However, about 90% of the time I try to use it, it has trouble actually getting the audio right, and you get a ton of really jarring audio pops, and some times where the pitch goes slightly down, which makes it basically unusable. To try to get it to work, I have to close the tab (refreshing doesn't work) and open the extension on a new tab. And then I still have only a 10% chance of it working. I'm giving this three stars because when it works it works like a charm, but most of the time it's just frustrating and physically painful to listen to.

Everything else seem to work just fine, but the speed always resets back to 100% when a loop stars/finishes or when I seek backward/forward. I hope this gets fixed soon.

I really liked using this extension before upgrading to Windows 11. I tried using it again, and the sound is glitchy and choppy. I don't know if this has been in issue for those that use Chrome on a Mac, but maybe an update would resolve the issue? I honestly really liked using the software, but for the time being, I haven't been able to use and enjoy it the same way I used to.

It used to work really well, without problem, but now I don't know what happened, the audio sounds too glitchy, too chopped, makes the extension unusable. It has been like that for about 2 weeks, please, this needs to be fixed.

Worked perfectly before I updated to Windows 11. I think it needs updating and fixing because now that i'm using windows 11 the audio sounds choppy and absolutely terrible and redeems all music unlistenable because of how often it cuts out. It really sucks because I really liked this software before the update

I liked it a lot and it worked great on my other laptop, but when I put my headphones in to change a song, the sound was very choppy and unstable :( It could just be the school wi-fi and I'm hoping that it is because other than the quality lowering this one time, it's a really useful extension. If it's the wi-fi on my end, I'll change it to a 5 star because that's my only issue. I'll have to test and then edit.

I have come upon different pitch shifters and I have got to say, this one is maybe the more accurate one. The quality of even heavily pitch shifted audio is amazing, almost as if it came out of Voicemod or other voice changers. Highly recommended for those who use it for fun! 10/10

There are times that the video is glitching, i dont reccomend it for those who have lower specs of pc and a slow internet connection

Awsome addon, it does its job and the audio quality does not even sound that bad when pitch or speed is changed.

Epic extension, I like everything about it.I can use inspect on the sliders to increase the max effects normally possible with speed and pitch. The only slight downside which is preventing 5 stars is that the audio becomes slightly delayed with the video when I click the extension, and there is no way to directly turn off the extension via the popup (or maybe there is but i cant find it) so even if i'm not changing the effects of a video, it will remain delayed. Other then that, it's really cool. I edited the stars to 5 because I found the cause of the problem, turns out the "high quality" setting delays the audio because it takes time to process it or something which is understandable.

i love this extension I can change music pitch and also use it to speed up YOUTUBE ADS when i get them i just put the video speed as fast as possible and you can skip unskipable ads i would rate 10 stars if i could

Best pitch shifter extension I used, great to correct old recordings

This is an amazing addition for karaoke singers like me. It is simple and works great promptly.

I've tried a couple of other apps/extensions and this one is SO GOOD. Others really distort the sound and can make it kind of tinny, but this does exactly what it advertises: transposes up or down. Boom. As a tenor, it can be hard to find stuff in a key high enough for me sometimes, especially for practicing to, so this is a great find.

This is a phenomenal tool. And it is built right into the browser. Using this has simplified covering songs and picking up songs in different scales. Would recommend this to musicians ?

pitch doesnt work

Being able to pitch Super Mario music just 2 semitones higher is a joy to listen to It just makes the music sound more lively Example: Super Mario Advance 2's Credits Theme... ...in the key of D plus you can speed up an ADVERTISEMENT for whatever reason And the max speed here is 400%, DOUBLE the max speed YouTube offers

I like this extension, however the only issue is that sometimes the audio goes out of time with the video. Could you fix that please?

Great App - But the loop markers are ignored, and the loop icon remains greyed out. What can I do to loop a section of a YouTube song?

I never leave reviews, but this is fabulous, the best chrome extension I have! It's great for changing songs into to both nightcore and daycore, while listening, and you can change the pitch and speed whenever you want without it loading or slowing down your browser. It's wonderful for listening to music, and very easy to use. It also has a really useful looping feature. Playing with this is way more entertaining than doing math homework :p !

Pretty good, got a question. If a video was 1.00x, and I changed the pitch to +1, then what would be the number before the x? I'm not sure. If anyone knows, I'd like to know it and how they know.

It works to change pitch, but the sound quality is awful. Whenever the extension is engaged the audio sounds crackly and sometimes it "dips" and goes flat or sharp.

It's really great and I love using it! One question though, the blue rectangle that shows up next to a tab, that usually shows up when you are casting to something, shows up whenever I use the extension. Is that anything to worry about? I really don't want to disable the app because I love it, but I will if it's sketchy (of course). Thanks :)

It was great! I see myself using this often. However, the audio is a bit buggy every minute or so, sometimes every few seconds. It kind of irks me, but it may just be a problem coming from my device. Overall would definitely recommend!

As a musician for a church we are constantly transposing songs for our singers. It's been a pain to listen to the original song and then try and transpose it on the fly. This extension does that so perfectly well. Allows me to practice a song in different keys just to be prepared.

What a great tool ! As a music teacher, I use it, and recommend it to my students, to slow down music and create loops for them to practice. Invaluable for complex fast music.

Great, I'll never listen to music in its normal pitch. It makes listening to mainstream bops fun and shameless again! It's new again! And no one else is experiencing what's meant to be an upbeat song, in a slowed down, and rich toned meaningful way like me
