This extension was quietly abandoned by its team. Much like previous iterations before it, heh... Things got complicated after tumblr's code changes. Fixing XKit's outdated code base to work with it became too hard on the devs, so they just burned out & abandoned it. But one dev didn't want to leave us hangin' like that, so they're working on a new browser extension called "XKit Rewritten." I recommend disabling/removing New XKit, & getting that instead. ----------- The coder had to start from scratch, which is why completion is taking a while. Some features are excluded, but they explain why on their GitHub page (tumblr itself now has many of those features if you know where to set them up, a welcome relief!), & a few are still under development. But it's coming along well. It's our best bet right now, because this one's just plain never gonna get fixed. I wish the other devs would just come back & admit that... but well, now y'all know.

Will probably never uninstall this extension, it's made using Tumblr all the more bearable. But it sure it would be nice if the support team [or whoever is managing xkit now] answered to issues, one of my xkit extensions "One-Click Postage" has been malfunctioning for months now, I sent messages about it a few times and it still hasn't been fixed.

it just dont work anymore. i left tumblr for 3 years and since then the things turned completely non-functional. nothing does anything

hasn't been properly working for two years or so. I can never get the tagviewer to work anymore, and it's the only thing I actually care about! but it's not like everything else works either. please fix this extension because it used to be really good.

Was The Best Extension EVER for Tumblr. Really disappointed that it no longer works and no mention from Tumblrs owners of the issue. Nothing. Way to lose your customer base.

so much for tumblr working with the app to keep development going lol. ton of features don't work anymore after july 2020 tumblr update. still good for quick reblogs at least

Have been using for years, now does not work at all with new update, site is unusable and xkit doesn't help at all.

was pretty awesome and the only way i could use tumblr. now with retiring tag viewer, disabling vital features i need, etc, tumblr is too blurry, annoying, and difficult to use. rip xkit and tumblr. the last social media i've been run out of

Useless now, if i can't turn of stupid new Tumblr interface.

Thank you so much for the work you have done! The tumblr website appears to be coded by monkeys, and this extension is an absolute godsend. I hope you'll be updating this extension to work with the new tumblr layout. Now that New Xkit isn't working anymore, I'm realizing how much I depended on it! Can't wait for the ability to block stupid political posts again!

This extension was great before but now I can see it is installed but it does nothing. The tumblr extensions I have installed show they are on but nothing changes. ex. I have timestamps on and installed but I do not see one next to anyone's post

The classic dashboard option, it either disappeared or isn't working anymore? The new dashboard tunglr dot hell pushed on its users even though we didn't want it slows my computers to the point of stalling and the activity notification number literally drives me up the wall, someone HELP ME. I cannot use this website without xkit making it workable.

While this extension is awesome, tumblr just decided to update and disable it on the site. Just bringing that up so you can fix it.

Uninstalled and reinstalled, but none of the features are working anymore. So I have this once-great extension called Xkit, but it does zero things, and therefore gets zero stars. Chrome is up to date and has no other extensions. I'd love to stop gifs and turn off Tumblr Radar again.

Good up to a point. Every so often you're going to have to delete it totally and reinstall it for it to keep working. Other than that, it is a wonderful app that can make your tumblr experience so much better.

There's a recent tumblr update so (new)xkit is no longer compatible and doesn't work. Hopefully it gets fixed soon but also ily hope you stay healthy and safe lads

I'm glad that I'm not the only one having issues with it now, it's difficult to rp with it not working :/ I hope they fix it soon

they just updated it now so it only works on the activity page for some reason. on other pages there isn't even the xkit icon :(

Fast reblog NO LONGER WORKS. Will always reblog to main now, despite choosing side blog from the drop down.

Was running great up until a few days ago. Many of the features no longer work properly, like removing captions when reblogging. Desperately needs an update asap

after removing xkit after it made everything load impossibly slow, i can no longer reblog/like/queue things as normal.

Absolute life-saving extension. I used the old xkit until I went on hiatus, only to return and find it permanently broken. Thanks for reviving this essential Tumblr extension.

This is a very great extension! I just wish there was a way to quickly add individual tags to posts. The closest extension I can find is the Tag Bundler, but I want individual tags instead of bundles. If there is an extension that allows this then knowing what it is would be great! Thank you regardless. New XKit allows my Tumblr experience to be seamless and enjoyable again after my long hiatus from the site. <3

Attempts to run on actual blogs themselves, not just on the main pages. Breaks themes because of this.

it slowed everything down even after nerfing all the features, I can't even load the site properly anymore it's so bad.

"Make sure your proxy, anti-virus and ISP is not blocking connections to studioxenix.com, puaga.com, xkit.info or any of it's subdomains." - Now it won't load, and no answers are provided. The update destroyed it.

It is pretty much useful. You gotta refresh the page to make sure that things are taking an effect. If you are downloading it because you want to unlike your liked posts then you will have to download the Mass Deleter from within the extension itself. For more detail contact me :)

It clutters up your screen with notifications and such. Not worth the benefits in my opinion.

I loved it when I first installed it. The other didn't work at all. However I installed a paid for theme and now it says there is an error in the RSS so nobody can subscribe until I fix this. I am sure its something simple. Other than that it works great has a lot of nice features

i'd like to be able to view the tags on a post! if that's aleardy a feature, can someone help me find it?

All of my extensions work fine on the dashboard but when I go to edit my extensions or add new ones everything is just blank. I can see all of the tabs but all of them are blank except the "About + Support" tab which has its usual info in it.

I love the New Xkit team, I bless them for taking over the monumental task of keeping Xkit up-to-date with all of Tumblr's changes so the website still stays usable!!!

I cant report things while im using it, i have to disable it and then find the post again so if there is a fix for this that would be great! otherwise its a great extension and very useful! thanks for making it :)

Loved it so far but I recommend if it is possible because of the new update to provide a extension to disable the safe mode which blocks posts for no coherent reason. Either that or have a thing where it just brings back the lock since it is so much better. Btw I am well over 18 but a error I made years back regarding to age set me lower than that but since it had no effect, I paid little to no attention so it would be great if you could fix that safe mode problem

I would give it 5 stars because it completely transforms my tumblr experience. I can quick reblog, queue and tag so easily but now whenever I open up the xkit menu, nothing shows up, not the news, not get more extensions, it's completely blank and useless. I'm losing out on features as well. Just waiting for it to be fixed.

Completely ruins my dashboard? Makes all the borders etc 'clear' so that I can barely read who posted it/reblogged from and I can barely read any texts posts as they are a dark grey...barely see the like reblog buttons!!

Excellent extension! Even after i disabled it temporarily my archived post still remained saved! Incredibly helpful, I've never had issues with this New XKit so far.

I was having some issues, but recently found that the issues (nothing available in menu upon clicking) were due to an adblocker I installed. If one is having the same issues, just go to your adblockers options, go to "add your own filters" and unselect the tumblr header, and tumblr content, this should fix your problems.

So I've been using New Xkit for Chrome for several months now and I attempted to download it to a profile on a new computer and I can't use the edit posts feature.

ESSENTIAL for a good Tumblr experience. Major props to the developers for taking up the project after the old XKit went AWOL, not only for updating existing extensions, but also for continuing to innovate and improve Tumblr as a whole.

Extremely helpful and almost mandatory to enjoy Tumblr at its fullest

I NEVER write reviews, in fact this is my first one. I'd been using the old x-kit for years and everything was fine until I decided to update. An update that broke the chrome app. I spent SO LONG troubleshooting with no results and was truly devastated UNTIL I found this new app that is an exact clone! Words cannot describe how overjoyed I was upon finding this. Thank you so much, new x-kit guy! You truly made my year and may the old x-kit guy find his way back.

Hey ! If your here because you new xkit stopped working, I figured out why mine stopped... Privacy Badger has added a blocker for this extension, slide the bar to the "green" and you should be all good.

Perfect except for some reason I can't set my activity/notifications page to only show me notes with tags/comments on them.

Some of the features are useful, but the Blacklisting feature doesn't work at all.

I desperately tried to fix the original xkit, but nothing worked so I did without it for a while. New Xkit is the best alternative I have found. Thanks for making something true to the original xkit. The updates and messages that New Xkit provides keep me apprised of every change that comes my way. I gave it 4/5 stars because the quick reblog occasionally glitches/isn't available, but it always corrects itself and I don't consider the glitch a major detractor. Many thanks to you all for continuing the extension and working with the sticky situation that is tumblr.

tried unsuccessfully for weeks to get the old xkit and saw someone reccommend this in the comments. Worked first time and its fantastic. Tumblr is awesome again!

To clarify to all those who sincerely miss the original XKit plug-in: on the XKit Mobile site ( http://www.xkitm.com/faq/view.php?id=nf1 ), the developer had explained why the mobile app was not free. "Why is XKit Mobile a paid product? Even though XKit Desktop is and always will be a completely free product, XKit Mobile is unfortunately a paid product. The reason for that is that I can't simply pay the development and server costs myself, even with the donations I receive. Instead of filling the application with ads, I've decided a one-time fee that would cover up my costs is the way to go so people can enjoy XKit on their mobile devices. I do realize that there are people who can't buy XKit Mobile for one reason or another, and to them, I apologize. Please understand that putting a price tag was the only way I could make this product a reality." Without donations, the developer simply couldn't pay for the server by himself, so he must've ended up losing the server. We should've helped... :'(

THANK GOD someone told me about newxkit. Spent twenty minutes trying to download the old one and it wouldn't work. If you're wondering if this is the right xkit, this is it.

Most of the extensions dont work literally at all (ie tag replacer, tag viewer). Chrome is up to date, I deleted xkit and reinstalled, still nothing. Very disappointing.
