does not work. so nothing to say.
I'm giving this 5 stars because for me, it does its job. Beggars can't be choosers. When you zoom in, it zooms to the top-left of the image (not where you point the cursor) but you can drag the image afterwards to see what you want. Also, the zoom is very slow. I would prefer not having to turn the mouse wheel so much to zoom in. But you know what? Apparently nobody else has created a better option, and it's much better than not having the ability or having to use Ctrl+ to enlarge an entire page, so yes, it's the best and it gets 5 stars. Definitely get this if you want to be able to zoom into images in your browser.
Doesn't work.
Does nothing.
Doesn't work correctly anymore. Now the image is constrained to the browser window. Previous to this behavior the image could be zoomed larger than the browser window and then dragged around to see details. Too bad, this was the best and there's nothing else out there to take it's place.
Doesn't work. Open in new window, no effect by mouse-wheel or clicking. There must be a working zoomer? Is this the only one?
I'm not sure what the others are complaining about, as this extension works as advertised for me and does not require as many permissions as similar extensions. When I <right-click> on an image in a web page and select "Open Image in New Tab", the image in the new tab will be automatically zoomed in to fit the browser window. I can then use the scroll-wheel or the <Cmd-+/-> keys (tested on a mac with an amazon basics USB mouse) to zoom in/out and click-drag to pan around the image. While the zooming algorithm is extremely basic (no attempt is made to reshapen the zoomed image, so it's likely just calling Chrome's zoom routines), it zooms and pans quickly.
It sounds like exactly what I want, but it doesn't appear to do anything. When I "open image in new tab/window", nothing is different. the image isn't auto-zoomed. can't zoom or pan. nothing.
Doesn't work. No function.
it isn't working like image zoom Thumbnail Zoom Plus unninstall
Does not work for me.
fake extension
Almost exactly what I want; but it requires the image to be loaded by itself... I could use Windows Image Viewer and have more functionality... If it allows dynamic resizing of images viewed on pages, then it'd be perfect.
Very basic. The only way to adjust image sizes is with the mouse wheel - too bad for those of us who don't have one! The simple addition of some hotkeys (say, Ctrl+Shift+1 for original size, Ctrl+Shift+0 for fullscreen again) would be nice. Another needed feature is some user-settings for limitations: do/don't resize images smaller than the window, do/don't resize images smaller than X by Y pixels, do/don't display original picture size in a floating tag at one corner. Those two simple features and this would be five stars.
Doesn't work for me?
love the mouse wheel function. works just like image zoom for fire fox. thank you.
Works great
Can't get it to work
This Image Zoom was close to perfect, but ultimately I had to uninstall it. I have an Apple "Magic Mouse" and it is not really supported by this product. There are some key features of the mouse that are broken by this product. 1) Swiping back doesn't work... it just zooms the image out. 2) Swiping down doesn't work... it just zooms the image in... it should scroll the image down. Overall, a cool product, but not if you are using the magic mouse.
I found this Extension after the previous one I used, Image Embiggener, stopped working. I now actually prefer Barry's Image Zoom. It's simple, but it does a good job - and the mouse wheel zooming works intuitively, unlike in Embiggener. The description said I could drag & move the image - that didn't seem to work? No big deal though. It'd be useful if there was a key I could press to show the image at its standard size. It'd also be helpful if, like Embiggener did, it could show the image size information in a line below the image. E.g. "1024x768 Zoom: 3.4x" Finally, it would be great if there was a key I could hold down - maybe Alt - that disabled mouse wheel zooming, and meant that the mouse wheel would scroll the window as usual. That would allow me to easily use the mouse wheel to both zoom and scroll, rather than needing to use the scroll bar if scrolling around in a big image. Those extra features would all be nice to have, but the extension does its primary job simply and effectively and is much appreciated. Thanks!
