Love it!

The UI has gotten steadily worse and the extension prompts and popups have become increasingly more intrusive. What began as a great text-expansion tool has been degraded by awful design and UX decisions. The extension now interferes with my workflow more than it helps, and I'll be searching for alternatives.

I just wanted to share how valuable this solution can be when you take the time to learn how it can achieve results in your workflow. Taking the time to create your shortcuts and learning what it possible will save you endless hours. Huge FAN.

Magical has been such a time saver with my work and is a must have browser extension!

The UX is super confusing and unintuitive

A truly magical, much needed extension. An essential time-saver. So brilliant that I wish you guys extended it to other browsers as well (Firefox for instance). I use Magical daily as a text extender to reply to students' emails, which often require standardised info on courses, exams, syllabi etc. In my experience over three years, the Magical extension has been consistently fast, very responsive and, for my purposes, bug-free. One possible feature that would be welcome (if at all possible) in the future would be automated attachments (in my case useful when I send the same lesson review pdf/or the same syllabus in pdf to different students at different times.) Keep it up!

It was working fine, but now every time I copy something or click a text box, theres a huge pop up wnidow with suggestions. (it looks more like a pop up ad) It's completely annoying and it interfeers with any UI you're working on. It's dumb that your not allowed to deactivate it.

I use this widget for templates for charting. It's such a life saver! When I work at different clinics my templates go with me! I recommend this to every clinician I talk to!

I love this extension but the widget is so annoying.

Time I spend drafting emails is time I'm not spending doing something more productive. Magical has given me the ability to customize shortcuts in the way I write; I've already saved hours of time spread out over small increments. We'd like everyone on our team to use this widget!

Was looking for an AutoHotkey like text expansion tool for Chrome OS and macOS as I've always been on Windows. Fantastic tool for text expansion. Especially love that it can be used on any Chrome broswer that I login to without any action on my part.

Creating shortcuts is great for emails, LinkedIn messages, common website links, etc. Anytime you can save time vs copy paste or searching a template is time back to your day.

This is incredible.....i do not need to write that long messages anymore....just change some details and there you go....love this!!!!

The "onboarding" process is clunky, requiring an email signup. If you're looking for a simple text expander, this app is bloated. If you're looking to convert characters, such as for a different language, this app is unsuitable: it only expands "phrases" that begin with a space character, so characters in the middle of a word will be ignored. And, to boot, it only works in some places in Chrome: it doesn't even work in this review form.

I love this tool. I'm still a recent user but have already seen my productivity levels at least 2x in 1-2 months. I'm sure there is more I can do with it, but I'm over the moon with it so far.

Magical is a very good text expander for Chrome/Brave users. The functionality is excellent and it's easy to use. The only issue that I have is that I mainly work on my Macbook Air and use Alfred as a macro and text expansion tool, which also allows me to use text expansions in other tools (e.g. Obsidian, Outlook, etc). I haven't quite figured it out yet, but may end up using Magical for more complex expansions (e.g. introduction emails) and Alfred for everything else.

Exceptional time saving extension. Not only can it save time on things that need to be typed repetitively, I've started to use it as a place to put short notes for myself to quickly look up with a few keystrokes without ever having to tab out.

Very helpful when having to use multiple tools, this way I can have a central place for all my shortcuts and templates. Saving seconds everyday add up to days by the end of the year. Great as an added KPI ??

I really like Magical - it saves to much time and is great for may use cases. However, recently I have seen Chrome slow down on my Macbook. Furthermore, I noticed that any time I try to open a LinkedIn page in a new tab, the page does not load but gets stuck with a loading bar. This is not the case with magical disabled. Since the use on linkedin is one of the primary (advertised!) uses of magical, I hope this bug gets fixed soon!

Great extension. Really helped in boosting productivity. But few days of usage, chrome started lagging. Whenever I click on textfield, it would take 2-3 secs to actually detect the click. Initially, i thought it's the website which is slow. But, when i disabled the extension, everything was back to normal. My device is 8 GB RAM variant. Not sure if 8GB is enough for the extension to work. Please fix this, i really love this extension. Update: When I use shortcut keyword with CAPS on and the shortcut uses text from clipboard, instead of getting text from clipboard, it takes the literal text "%CLIP%" and pastes it into the field. Please fix this. Update Dec 4, 2022: Currently using HP Elitebook 840 G7, Core i5 Pro, 16 GB RAM - I'm sure the specs isn't that bad. I started noticing Chrome being super slow in certain websites and I thought it might be something to do with Chrome, probably some updates going on in the background. But, then I figured this happens only with the websites for which Magical has access. Disabling the extension fixes it. Chrome Task Manager shows high memory usage also. Please fix this issue in priority.

As a chat support, This is probably the most useful tool that you can find in order to speed up your chats with your customers. I highly recommend this to all levels of agents; may it be for a newbie or a veteran, you will definitely save so much time especially for your AHT.

Its very helpful but previously shortcuts were in alphabatical order but now it is in most frequently used order. I think in alphabatical order it is much helpful.
