Works Again
With Chrome Version 110.0.5481.100 on Lubuntu, it no longer works. While it did, it worked perfectly and I loved it. I hope the author will be able to fix it soon!
It just didn't work, the loop button never shows up.
i can't exactly put my time stamp for loop it's taking a huge difference to be set

Automatically loop every video most of the times works, but sometimes doesn't, really annoying, please solve this bug.
YouTube already has a loop feature. If this is YouTube loop, they need to put that so that anyone with any common sense would just NOT download it and use YouTube's built-in feature instead. Which is one click also. This is misleading and makes it sound like it can loop any video. Nope, just YouTube, and that's pointless because YouTube already has this feature.
Exactly what it says it does. Very useful that when setting a specific segment to loop, it automatically uses the current position in the video. It's great for learning KPOP choreography!

Man, this extension is really good! I wanted to loop specific parts of videos without having to go to a website or manually looping, and this does the trick! 5 stars for all of those times it worked exactly as intended! Bugfix needed: Sometimes, the looper for a specific section of any given video doesn't work. Might do a bit of testing to see if I can pinpoint exactly when it doesn't work.
Great plugin. I've been using this for years. My most used feature is the ability to select a portion of the video to loop. This is particularly useful when I'm working and just need background music, and the video I want to loop has a bunch of the artist talking and such in the beginning and end of the clip. However, my respect for this developer(s) went up a bunch in late Nov-Dec 2022 when YouTube had a redesign that broke the plugin's UI. Within weeks, the plugin was updated to support the new UI! Cheers!!
I had been using this for a long time to learn songs and it worked great. I could loop small sections until I figured out the part. However, It stopped working for me a few days ago: The interface doesn't show up, so it's hard to give it anything but 0 stars at the moment. As far as I know, the "P" shortcut (just press "p" on the keyboard), which folks are mentioning, loops the whole video, which is _not_ useful for my purposes. Update/Workaround: I can use it in incognito mode if I select Manage Extension > Allow in Incognito. Raising to 3 stars. UPDATE 11/26/22: The new update works!! Bumping up the rating.
Use it all the time for practicing the guitar.

This is great! Thank you very much! One idea to make it even better would be an option to add a pause between loops. This would be very helpful for practicing a musical instrument to have a little time to take a breath, flex fingers, and reset between attempts

No longer functions due to youtube's new layout. Needs fixed. Workarounds posted by users are not acceptable to rate higher as any sort of fix.

Yes the visual "Loop" button is gone due to Youtube's UI overhaul but IT STILL WORKS (for the most part). The "p" shortcut still works and looping portions of videos can still be done though a bit more tedious. Appending "&start=00:00&end=00:00" to the videos URL will automatically loop the video between the two timestamps chosen. A UI fix is obviously welcome but this works for me in the meantime!
Youtube updated UI but the extension still working fine if you right click at the video, you will see the "Loop" menu.

It was fantastic on the previous update of Youtube but now it doesn't work on this current version of Youtube. Would be 5 stars if it still worked but since it doesn't work anymore i got to give it a 1 star.

The button currently does not show. However, the extension still works, you can use the shortcut (p) to start looping the video or put &loop=0 at the end of the video link.
It used to work perfectly, until the new UI update for Youtube in Oct 2022. The button completely disappeared, making the extension unusable

The extension is broken since youtube changed their page layout, but the javascript still works. You first have to press the "p" key while on the youtube page. After you will notice the url has just changed, there will be a "&loop=0" at the end of the url. In order to loop a video from specified time to another specified time you must enter the following parameters ex. loop 1000 times, from second 30 to minute 4 second 14 &loop=1000&start=00:30&end=04:14 Once you have entered in the parameters how you want them, navigate to the url that has just been finished and the looper will function. Overall good extension, only issue is I think there is a possibility of it not working come the next version of google in January lol
Not working. Looping part of the video becomes so manual now when URL needs to be modified manually with start point and end point.
i've had this extension for a while, and it works perfectly! use it all the time and i love it so, so, so much!! everyone who is anyone should use this :)

Broken with current Chrome & YouTube build. Added the "YouTube Redux" extension and the looper came back. You still need to press "p" to bring up the looper. I can once again loop guitar videos at any speed for practice.
For it to work on Chrome Latest update --> Version 106.0.5249.103 (Official Build) (64-bit) <-- You need to be login with your "Youtube Main Account" not one of your "Channel Account(s)".

Fixed! At least this worked for me and Google hasn't figured out a way to disable it yet. I'm using Brave. Go to Youtube in a Private tab. Enable Looper for Private tabs. I also have TOR enabled for Private tabs.
worked perfectly for ages and was a lifesaver, but the icon disappeared months ago and it no longer works at all. really ridiculous that this hasn't been fixed yet.
Sometimes show icon; sometimes does not and loop forever
It doesn't work now. I am so stupid that I didn't know you can easily right click on the screen and click on loop, it is on the top. For turning it off, just right click on it again and then click on the loop button, the video will no longer be on loop.

The youtube update broke the loop function, have to edit the loop timestamps using the URL. P doesn't do much since i can't see the timestamps to loop

Used to work before but it doesn't show up any more.
It works quite well. Sometimes YouTube rolls out new 'experimental' features, breaking the Loop button, but it can still be made to work by using 'p' shortcut. Good enough!
So good! It just works and it's pretty well integrated. I can practice sections of piano pieces now, whereas similar online tools failed.
Stopped working with the new YouTube update but I managed to fix it with an extension called YouTube Redux which brings back the old layout and shows the extension again in the description.

Works exactly as described. The extension was intuitive, while still having a variety of settings to customize looping. If this is what you need, it does it very well.
Worked great but the YT update broke it
No way to disable auto setting of video quality by this extension, which conflicts with other extensions which already do that. Do one thing and do it well. This does not.

Love it! It is such a lifesaver for Chomebooks that are not compatible with the Google Playstore. I like the fact when you set how many times you want it looped around for an individual video, where the browser tabs may be open on Youtube using multiple browsers of Youtube it remembers each individual browsers set amount of numbers I like it looped around. Love it and definitely recommend it!

youtube looper is not working now. it used to work before but now it is not working for portion of video to loop. please please please fix it
I noticed this problem yesterday on my MacMini, which is running OSX 12.3.1. YouTube must have made some kind of change causing this extension to not work.

it does what it says it does, however, it restarts videos just slightly before they end which can be annoying for looping certain songs/videos when they cut off too soon. its decent but there are better looper extensions.
Doesnt show the buttons anymore, if u wanna do it put this at the end of the url and edit it to fit the video u want to loop "&loop=0&start=00:00&end=02:19" or "&loop=0" or u can press r
It still works. Just add &loop=99 at the end of the URL of the video in the browser.
The extension serves it's purpose, however it breaks Youtube clips. Clicking on a clip link takes a couple tries and then clicking 'return to clip' in bottom right to finally get the clip to play, even once it's playing it's limited functionality. Going full screen will break stop the video.
loop button missing
This extension used to be an easy 5/5 slam dunk. But, ever since the "Loop" button disappeared about a month ago, the only way to actually use the extension that I can tell is with the "P" keyboard command and that doesn't allow you to loop just a specific portion of videos. I hope for an update/fix "soon".
Just recently stopped working after the recent YT-site update. Any update planned?

I have used it for years before I found it not working today. Youtube update broke something but you can still use it. If you have the extension installed, just simply press "R" on your keyboard. This will open the Looper UI where you can activate the loop option you want. I am not sure if all loop options still work but the one I use does. Hopefully the extension author will fix it in time.

Heads up, Youtube updated the UI and Looper no longer is showing or working correctly. Only automatic loop works. Been using this for 3+ years.

This is an important feature, so I’ll rate this extension higher, but it never worked for me in both Chrome and Edge For now, I’m using Youtube Looper by Wilker Lúcio. The extension automatically creates loops for Youtube chapters. It’s also open-source https://github.com/wilkerlucio/media-looper
Would be 5 stars if a speed control could be added - enabling, say, .7, .65, .6 speeds & obviating the YT speeds. Vital for transcribing bass lines.
the best looper, now it has been added to the button beside 'save'.
It works, however, it removes the upload date and the word "views" from underneath the video.
The loop button will occasionally not pop up on certain videos for whatever reason, but when it actually does appear, the looping feature works great. Besides that, I've ran into no issues:)
Looper for YouTube is a fantastic extension. I use it to loop guitar solos and learn them. I am in the process of changing over to a Mac, it really bums me that a Mac version isn't available.

It works, but there is a limitation. When the rendering progress is on the client side, the LOOP button was not displayed, then I must refresh the page manually! I hope this issue will be fixed asap! By the way, thank you for creating this Chrome extension!
