Reviews & Comments of OpenTabs: Save trees by opening new tabs chrome extension

Sounds like a great idea but it doesn't work on Opera. I can't use New Tab Start Page to make it work because I can't find the URL, and I can't use keyboard shortcuts either because that just doesn't work, period.

I like tree tab

i rate it 3 stars since even though i logged in my account my account wasnt logged in and when i tried logging it in the whole website just crashed so i needed to remove the whole extension

I saved lots of trees but then it broke so after reinstalling it it worked again but broke quickly please solve i'm removing for now. Great concept though and it was very fun while it lasted.

Very limited and changes your settings to default like home shortcuts and wallpaper that you added through link (just reverted back to default) and now I cant change my search engine this addon settings. I installed this to support your cause (despite not seeing any openness of the cause) but you decided to revert back to what you like. Plus the ads in this addon isn't up to the mark. Anyways, you reverted back as you please and I will revert back to my previous new tab addon I was using. Thanks.

Simple way to make an impact on a daily basis! I work a lot on my computer for school/research and double this extension with Ecosia. I also try to tell all my friends about it and promote around my school whenever I can so you should download too :)

Great extension, i use it with Ecosia so i feel good about browsing the internet. Make sure to use adblocker that doesn't impede it (uBlock origin is good)

Saving tress just by doing usual browsing, and creating a greater impact.

Such a simple thing to make a huge impact. Acts exactly like normal google, if not better because you can play games on it. Doesn't effect my searching, its like its not even there. Great extension, we need more things like this in the world.

Brilliant stuff

A great and easy way to make change! Even with the Forest Tabber option, the ads aren't extremely intrusive. The most frequent sites and daily backgrounds are great features. One request: please put the app drawer back on the left side, or give the user the option to move it. It was a very convenient way to open Gmail or Calendar because the app drawer was right under the new tab button.

I was using the momentum extension, this extension does the same thing it says good morning/evening/afternoon to me ++ it has a good impact on the conservation of rainforests for it saves 1tree for each 5 tabs I open!!! literally the best extension!!!

It allows you to choose how many ads you see whenever you open a new tab (1-3), and if you increase the amount of ads appear on your screen, the bigger impact each new tab has. I highly recommend! It adds gorgeous background images to your new tabs, and you're able to customize the colors, time, and how each new tab introduces you. I love this, and I plan on trying to get my friends to add it, too. It's amazing!

Works great! I only wish I could see my bookmarks bar on chrome. (edit) Absolutely love it after using it for a while! My only problem was an error on my part, which is fixed now thanks to Quinn :). Would highly recommend! Easy to use and reliable!

The extesion is very good but what really annoys me r the ads, everytime I open a new tab, ads appears. If that could be solved it would be a 10

I thought this was a brilliant idea and really wanted to help out but I have been using this extension for more than a week and whether it was tabs opened at the moment or tabs I have opened over time; the tab counter would remain at 1. Every other counter was working fine. Please fix this issue

So easy to use and doesn't change the way I browse at all which is nice! I know other extensions that are similar but have their own search engines instead of allowing you to choose your search engine (ex. keep using Google) like OpenTabs does. It's so convenient and for a great cause!

Everything on Opentabs is going great! But, today I opened a tab and it said my tabbing points froze because of my adblocker. I need to remove my adblocker or my points won't move. I don't know what those two have in correlation. Why do I need to remove my adblocker to use Opentabs?

Absolute must-have. I recommend for everyone. Super well made, too, I love the customization of it. I only wish I found this sooner!

I was first very skeptical about this extension, but it has been the best decision that I had ever made for my pc. I know where they get their revenue from and once I read more of their reviews and about them, I immediately knew that I had to install it. Open Tabs has a wonderful greeting with a beautiful background that changes everyday and even shows you the time. Of course, you can customize it with your own picture and change it from military time to standard time. All of the changes Open Tabs had made on my browser hair been positive and I'm almost at 2,000 tab points(200 trees). So if you're still not sure if you should get it, take my word and install now! Edit 5/28/2021: They made a new function showing how many trees we planted as a community, I, personally am at 2,400 tabs but as a community we planted 300,000, so join the cause AND. INSTALL.

I absolutely love this extension and how customizable it can be. Saving trees just by opening tabs? yes please. However there is one concern I have: whenever I try to change the background or wallpaper, it just turns white. I copy the link and paste it where it says I should paste it, but it just keeps turning up white. Other than that, it's great!

It's a genius design and looks so good! I love seeing the number of trees go up - I've only been using it for a couple days and I can proudly say I've saved three trees. Maybe I should open more tabs.

It's honestly so helpful being able to have all my school tabs there with one easy click, without having to have all the taps actually open. It makes everything so much easier and organized. And I love that it's for a good cause! The add is basically just your little google ads type banner at the very bottom corner of just the home page. It doesn't bother me at all. I 10/10 recommend you use this.
