It is a violation of privacy and should not be used in a school setting. Schools should be taking steps to ensure that students' information is kept safe and that their privacy is respected. Schools should consider using alternatives that are not invasive and do not require users to give up their privacy. In addition, students need to be made aware of the implications of using software like LANSchool. Schools should also be providing more information about the software and its capabilities to students and parents. I personally have made a windows script to disable LANSchool and its monitor, but it is not enough. i was trying to do some history work during class and a teacher took over my task and shut it down. not only that but they also blocked the website and ONLY that website that i was working on. the worst part was the teacher didn't bother to change it back so i was stuck not being able to do my work . The teacher also blocked the search bar so i was not able to open a word Doc or anything that was not pinned to my hotbar.

Horrible, the worst. I could say many things about this extension/program overall. But it truly does help you spy on certain devices in a school setting. I hate that it blocks so many features of chrome, for example: I'm sensitive to light. I really need to have dark mode on. I can't install extensions to accommodate that need for a darker display. But overall it's amazing if you want to prevent students from having any privileges online.

This program is terrible, I was sold this computer for a high price which i shall not state. But the main idea is that this program is constantly spamming me with notifications and i looked into the website and supposedly people/teachers can see my screen at all times without my permission. overall very bad app, please take this down.

I know how to disable the extension, but do this at your own risk, it could get you into trouble: 1. click the extensions button in the top right corner and press "Manage extensions" 2. then click on developer mode in the top right corner 3. click details under lanschool and press pack extension Then lanschool will be disabled, again do this at your own risk it could get you into trouble

this is very bad for my privacy, when your at home you still dont get any privacy, they are basically stalking your every move and I dont feel safe about it.

My new tabchrome is overwritten and is a school page, it has a search bar BUT whenever I try to search something in the font, IT SAYS, WARNING! THE INFORMATION IN THIS SITE CAN BE SEEN BY WHATEVER or something. I do not like how the schools try to do this, also it cant be undone and it removes all bookmarks and the bar. It is really sketchy and I feel my teachers can see my private history on my personal account without my permission. They shouldnt acces my whole personal home account. get this to 1 star so its banned and we are all free.

One of my teachers say that they can access the camera from this app and see what we're doing at home. It's scary because my teacher actually did it. Of course I reported it to the school but they didn't get fired or even punished which I find stupid. The scariest part is that if someone hacks into the system then they can open your camera and see your face.

This website is really stupid. Sometimes one of my teachers would assign the class to watch a video just for it to be blocked. Idk if its because of this app, but I can't email or forward any emails to anyone outside of the school district. That and spying on us is weird

Overall LanSchool Helper is annoying and yes it helps keep people on task but blocks sites such as sites you can use to actually do work and even blocking random websites that are harmless so can't teachers just stand at the back of the class and watch everyone's screens -_- I honestly don't get it and just the fact that someone could hack into the software and steal all of our information worries me even more especially because that information could be our school our name even our ID to certain things. Overall teachers should just learn to watch their classes screens more often then having to look at everyone's laptop, and even worse if you buy your own laptop and they put this on there that's just wrong because its your property and you should be trusted with it. There's and easy counter... control+windows logo+d; add new desktop. Your teacher cannot see that new desktop while you are not on it, meaning you can switch from that desktop, to one with schoolwork. You can navigate desktops with task view or control+windows logo+left arrow/right arrow. If you are on mac, then mega oof. 400IQ play
