WOW. Thanks so much for your time in developing this little hack. I absolutely despise having to sift through the shorts on my YT subscription page when streaming via Chromecast.

At the time of writing it successfully blocks YouTube shorts from appearing after I type a search into the YouTube search bar.

Come on guy... the shorts button is still top left and can easily click it and take you directly to shorts. Expand the app and make it worth it.

works better then other shorts blockers i have tried. i wish youtube would just separate them into their own section like idk a sub domain shorts.youtube.com or something...

It blocks shorts from showing up, but there's an empty space with a spinning wheel of loading, where the blocked Shorts was. You can wind up with multiples of that empty space, if YT tries to inflict a heap of Shorts on you. It'd be great if the dev could figure out how to collapse those spaces.

Does what it claims. I was looking to only remove shorts from my subscriptions page. This remove shorts everywhere. For my case I would like if there were extension options to toggle to turn off shorts is different places. Toggle shorts button on left hand navigation panel, toggle shorts section on hompage, toggle shorts on subscriptions page, toggle shorts everywhere else. Adding a filter option would be cool. Multiselect for Youtube adds buttons and something like that would cool to have a filter on any page to show all, short only, regular videos only.

Worked great after I restarted Chrome.

This extension does remove shorts from your subscription page, but it renders the page unusable and turns the page into unending spinning loading wheels.

youtube homepage works fine after installing this, but subscriptions page is just a big list of spinny wheels. unusable.

It removes Shorts but it breaks Search results.

it works great at removing all shorts from YouTube, but regretfully it also (occasionally) removes all videos from a users VIDEOS page leaving that empty. not all the time, but enough times for it to be so annoying that I uninstalled it.

Obviously, a very hit-of miss extention. Works great with main page and subscriptions feed, but can be really wonky with channels and some other places.

I was hoping it would remove shorts completely from https://www.youtube.com/user/TheTankMuseum/videos leaving the proper content, but it either removes nothing or everything
