Sometimes doesn't scrobble YouTube Music Videos

Works great with Bandcamp, and allows for live editing of scrobble.

A staggering amount of music videos on YouTube give a "this website is not supported" message when playing. This is happening on big music channels with millions of subscribers, and the videos are very much categorized correctly. The only option to override this is by enabling scrobbling for every YouTube video, which is very impractical. If this issues is fixed, I'll change my rating, but as of right now, it gets 1 star.

It's the only add-on that I have in Opera that everytime it has an update it asks me for permissions. Please fix it!

Largely works trouble-free for me. Still, setting aside the limitations that are inevitable, some simple fixes are really due. 1. It's mostly good at scrubbing the song title from stuff like "(duper HQ)", but I could really do with, at least optional, scrubbing of the "(remaster)" - I seriously don't need that cluttering my library. 2. A force-scrobble option would be really nice for people relying on YT categories to avoid turning their scrobble list into a garbage bin, since currently if the song isn't categorised properly - that's it, all you could do is dive into the settings and reload the song, then dive back afterwards. The alternative of constantly being on lookout for your lastfm being cluttered with cat vids is equally loathsome.

Worked great, no complaints until my tabs randomly became unresponsive for a minute, then after reloading the page the extension icon was grayed out, hasn't worked since. I've tried everything I can think of.

Icon stays gray, no tooltips, no specified sites, no feedback. Unable to stop polluting Last.fm with garbage entries like chapters from non-music Entertainment category on YouTube, but also unable to scrobble music from the Comedy category on YouTube.

Works great with Pandora web player. What a wonderful project to make music lovers lives easier. Last.fm is the ring to rule them all, with years of listening history, following me through WiMP, Deezer, Spotify, Apple Music and Pandora. Thank you web-scrobbler authors! I chose to disable all the services which I don't use to lower load monitoring all those URLs and to avoid accidental YouTube scrobbles of the wrong music.

It worked great before, its been a few months since I used it and now it doesn't work? Idk if it's because I have YouTube premium now or what. Very disappointed, (I did try reinstalling and reconnecting last.fm)

Worked super well for like 2 years then suddenly it doesn't scrobble spotify or youtube anymore, I reinstalled it and everything and it doesn't fix itself.

it's good. sometimes it stops working on spotify web. but the main issue is automatically removes any thing written in parentheses in the song title. Please look into it.

It was great...until it wasn't. Suddenly no longer works with Bandcamp? Which is the only reason I had it installed.

this is the best scrobbler extension that i have used.

It doesn't work, I used to love this extension, but now it is scrobbling podcasts and entertainment videos, even when I uncheck that option, also scrobbling music is not working well.

It lacks vital options. I don't want to scrobble every song I listen to on YouTube. I need to be able to either pause scrobblng or trigger it selectively. But I can't even make it stop if I unselect YouTube in the options.

Hello! It's no longer working correctly! Can you help me? I don't know how to add a screenshot here, but basically it was broken today. When I click on extention button ("?" or "note") to change the name of the track, name of the album, etc., pop-up window is so small that i can't see anything, no scroll bars either. Now I just can't edit track names and it makes this extention much less useful. Will you fix it?

Its a nice extension, but it picks up random trailers and clips from youtube as "music" and adds them to last.fm. I've had to disable the youtube scrobbling for now.

Been using this for over 1-2 years. It used to be buggy but haven't had any issues in a long long time. I use it for YouTube on PC.

Doesn't work. I get notification for song but on the extension it says service error.

Installs to Chrome and asks to check settings only to be told it's not supported, useless.

Seems to be working well with YouTube Music. :)

To quote Todd Howard: "It just works." The only issue is Last.fm's API revoking access (but this is likely Last.fm's fault). I would humbly suggest that the toolbar icon show a notification if this error happens.

Downloaded this for Amazon Music mostly and it worked with it for some time but it no longer does. It still scrobbles from YouTube with no issues, but when I use Amazon it will show the music playing on the plug-in but it won't scrobble. This plug-in is definitely a 5 star when its working but this needs to be fixed

Pretty Bad Yes, it does work... but its not good. Half the songs I listen to are not scrobbled and there is no place to go back and find them so I can't put them in manually. It still needs quite a bit of work but occasionally it will scrobble so I still use it.

can i scrobble to both last.fm and libre.fm at the same time?

The extension is fine but I think their should be black list for websites that I don't want to track music on.

Unfortunately can only partially scrobble Amazon Music Unlimited. Some tracks will throw an error with this extension. Even with this problem, it's better than all the alternatives when scrobbling to last.fm.

It works most of the time and scrobbles virtually everything. This extension is one of the main reasons I still use chrome, but now you can use Chrome extensions on Edge

Everything was great, but after the update the scrobbler doesn't seem to work on tab by tab basis, but shows one particular song you started scrobbling in any tab. And that doesn't mean your other tabs won't scrobble, you just won't see the process of it, won't be able to edit, etc. Please return the tab by tab view.

Works good. Has a great feature where you can edit misnamed Youtube videos so it scrobbles the correct song artist/album/song.

Works great! Only issue I have with it right now is that it seems to struggle when the title of the track has a hyphen in it. Seems to think the pre-hyphen portion of the track title is the artist, and the remainder is the track title. Noticed now that it also struggles with a colon in the track title.

This extension was unreliable for years (before 2018) but has been extremely stable since. Good work devs!

It's very helpful. it support many online music sites but why not Jango? Jango.com it's a great alternative to discover new music.

if you are looking for an easy way to scrobble music from the web to last.fm this does the trick, but is a little clunky with it's tasks. Frequently does not correctly identify the artist of a song on youtube and lists the uploader as the artist, or [personally my biggest issue] scrobbles a lot of things that just plain aren't music. I was wondering if this might be a problem on my end? If there is an easy way to stop the scrobbling of regular youtube videos to last.fm without having to delete them manually that would be great. This review is only a 3 from the clunkiness of the application.

Been using it for a few years specifically to scrobble from Digitally Imported, but ~last year it stopped working, re-installing didn't help either. Now, after some time, I tried it again and it's finally working!

Been using Web Scrobbler since 2017. While not always perfect when it comes to scrobbling tracks on my preferred music library Google Play Music (although Amazon Music works very well), it has been very sufficient for the past two years regardless. But the recent update has given me a reason to post a 5-star review for this app as it is now greatly accommodating me because I no longer have to head to OpenScrobbler all the time to submit tracks from multi-artist albums because Web Scrobbler has recently added an "album artist" column and thus saves me the trouble from doing it manually. Thank you very much Web Scrobbler! As of now I will continue to use your web app for the foreseeable future.

Been looking for a web browser scrobbler since i got amazon music unlimited, and its just what i hoped. Simple, Easy, and it WORKS. In a world full of dumb scrobblers this is the one to go for!!!!!!

Pros: Picks up 70% of songs on Youtube. Cons: Sends annoying banner notifications every time a new song plays that are impossible to turn off on Mac.

Best chrome extension for scrobbling. It is simple and has everything you need. Finally no problems with last.fm. I tried it on soundcloud, vk.com, youtube, bandcamp, beatport and some other quite popular platforms - works like a watch in swiss drugstore. Shouts to developers and my best wishes!

It's not without its problems (stopped working and required a clean reinstall), but it's still by far the best Last.fm scrobbler out there.

scrobbling on youtube stopped working for awhile now.

Love this extension, just found it again. Best way to scrobbl to last.fm without having to use Spotify or any of those metered sites. Just remember to pause any other scrobbling app, or yours double scrobbls every track. BTW Your download page on Google Chrome gives me a 404 page.:( The solution I found is to click on your Twitter page, follow the links and prompts to the App that way. Thanks for creating it.

Was fine for a while, then only worked about half the time on YT videos, stopped working completely on Spotify.

Works great. But when a song is scrobbled it shows in my feed that I'm scrobbling that song again, would be great if they fix this.

Works like a charm whenever the fudge it wants. When it doesn't, it sucks.

it works most of the time. I use it primarily with Google Play Music in the browser. I'd say when listening to an album it scrobbles about three quarters of the tracks with no issue but almost always misses several tracks. the frustrating thing is that the extension is clearly talking to the last.fm website, when listening to a song it shows up in my feed as "scrobbling," but then when the song ends it hasn't actually scrobbled. the ability to edit song title, artist, and album info on the fly is very nice and keeps this review from being just 2 stars. i wish this extension were more consistent and functional, or that there were a better extension for GPM streaming in chrome, but this one is the best I've found so far.

Great extension but since last week I face problems while scrobbling from spotify. It does not recognise songs automatically. Moreover, it doubles song names which forces me to edit eveything manually. Could you return the scrobbling as it was before :)

It's a great extension for last.fm on Chrome, but it's not scrobbling from Spotify anymore since this week. why is this happening? I removed and added it again but it's really not working... I hope it gets fixed asap, please.

This is by far and away my favourite Chrome extension. I've been a subscriber/and non-subscriber to Last.FM since the early 2000s and being able to scrobble my tracks from online music sites, compared to scrobbles with foobar tick that happy spot inside. This is always worth dropping notes on. Thank you.

Not right away connecting to SoundCloud. With YouTube and other services it works better.

amazing scrobbler, allows you to edit info if it has been detected incorrectly and skip songs. Only suggestion would be for it to ignore "lyrics" in the video title like is does for "music video" or "audio"

Perfect for scrobbling (almost) everything on the web! The ability to skip scrobbles, change scrobble artist/track/album data and automatic album detection are what makes this extension stand out even more.

This is the only one of these extensions that actually works the way it is supposed to. It is totally fantastic! Works perfectly in Opera.

worked perfectly before but now it only recognizes youtube every once and a while. only seems to recognize youtube videos that aren't mvs/music.

Working in Chrome again so I'm editing my review. Has issues with correctly scrobbling the artist/track though, even when manually editing it.

I had to make the jump to chrome purely for this app. I spend a lot of time listening to music all around the web and now it can finally be scrobbled as it should. Before we were only getting half a picture. The only thing that needs improving is the detection of youtube videos and other media in peoples facebook posts and iframes. at the moment for the scrobble to take I need to listen directly on the host sites. Just a few more tweaks are required to make the service seamless

It works perfectly :) I had some troubles with the URL pattern for Plex, but finally I found one which seems to work.

Skips songs, if they're longer than 4 minutes rescrobbles halfway through. Fix it

was great, but routinely drops scrobbles since the last update. If you pause a song as it begins and play again it doesn't work. doesn't matter what you do - you have to select a different track and then go back to the one you were listening to to get it to scrobble. easily a 4-5 star if this was fixed but right now undependable

Excellent, been using it for a couple months and it does what it should do.

Last update (09/17/2017) is very bad. Do not scrobble what was scrobbling.
