It's not clear what it's supposed to do at all and clicking on the extension just sends you to a page asking you to download an app on mobile for "unlimited access". The page has some buttons that don't do anything and the page itself doesn't have anything useful on it besides some advertising. It's just straight up broken and multiple people have reported it being discontinued. It might be because I'm using a third-party browser (Opera), but considering most of the most recent reviews are talking about the exact same issues I don't think that's the case.
This is literally spam, it won't work, and it tells you to rate and download some other nonsense... As a person familiar with IT, this is sketchy AT BEST, do not add or use this.
You want five star for free, yes, take it. I hate clickbaits.

Bummer! Really wanted it to work b/c on the Chromium browser for Linux, Google removed Voice Search, though long ago now. Nevertheless, it still does not work on Chromium; the mic pops up and you can see it's receiving voice content, but then it just sits there and nothing happens, so I'm hoping to find one that does. Uninstalling!
I just tried it for the first time. My experience is that it's a bit clunky. It doesn't let me finish my sentence and searches for the first 3-4 words I've said. I believe there is room for improvement.
Google voice search is not working on chromium edge but this extension solved the whole problem.
Totally WORTHLESS! Spamming me with requirements to install an app on my phone IS JUST WRONG! Reported on Google. Does not work at all. So this maybe because I did not allow you to Spam my phone?

Apparently this has been abandoned by the developers. No longer works and may, in fact, now pose a security risk. I'm gone....

Do not use unless you want to be tracked by facebook. This extension sends a tracking request to facebook.com for every website you visit. I noticed this when I was working on my own web app. It seems like it doesn't work anymore anyway.
This app was working well for a long time. When it stopped working, I was met with instructions similar to the following: (1) Find and Install 'Celebrity Voice Changer' on your phone or tablet; (2) Rate 5 stars on App Store or Google Play. I didn't have any plans to install that app, and so I had to remove the extension from my browser.
THIS WOULD BE AMAZING IF IT ACTUALLY WORKED!!!!!! however it doesn't. I STRONGLY suggest you don't download
Makes you install and rate one of there other apps 5 stars before using properly. App does nothing when clicked USLESS !! just stick with chromes built in voice
It worked well. now it doesnt work work anymore. Ive tried many different times and ways to the point where i had to move on without it. i used it several times over a few months and it never not even once mistook my voice for wrong word. I was impressed. I couldnt figure out how to personalize the search engines though I am not a programmer and I dont care to the person who says " duh, but its so easy my autistic nephew can do it.". I liked the app, But as with anything, its worthless unless it works correctly
Please make it work on YouTube!! By that, I mean I want Dictation on YouTube. Actually I want Dictation for Every site. :( It does work on other sites, though. But there are times when it just won't pick up any sounds at all... :(((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((( And recently it's all the time, it's not working at all anymore........ :(((((((((((((( Google's own voice search works, so it's not the mic. What's up with that? :( And yes, I gave it access to use the mic. When I click on it, it shows me the black dots, not the black mic, so it should be working... :| Please make Dictation work on YouTube, etc, and FIX the extension already!!! It is easy to use and works perfectly. JUST PLUG AND PLAY.
Very much perfect. For those who can't get it to work, you might have to go to "Microphone privacy settings" in Windows 10. I would like to see some options such as "use current tab to search", instead of opening up a new tab every time.
When I click the microphone it shows a black microphone that does nothing. It also keeps asking me to install a voice changer extra app, that is not relevant to me.

After installing, I clicked on the microphone extension in Chrome and was repeatedly brought to a page with the following instructions: 1. Find and Install 'Celebrity Voice Changer' on your phone or tablet 2. Rate 5 stars on App Store or Google Play Only after downloading an app I'm not interested in, on my phone and then rating the app 5 stars would I be able to use this extension. That's absurd. I don't care how well it works or not - if I have to download other apps on other devices, I'm not interested. This is essentially spam.

It works okay for doing Google searches. I really wanted the functionality back that Google removed where you could use a microphone to input text in Google Docs, gMail, etc in Chrome.
This is permanently causing Chrome to report that: "Google Chrome is using your microphone" Is this thing spyware?

I felt forced to try this by my google search page opening a page of setting customizatiopn first. When I lost the mike icon in my search strip I downloaded this voice search, a smaller mike icon appeared in the icon row on the top. But it is not usable. I WANT BACK THE MIKE ICON IN MY SEARCH STRIP. WHAT I'VE GOT NOW IS USELESS.
Nearly perfect! To make this extension perfect; all I need is a keyboard shortcut to trigger it.

working great on new imac, adding custom search engines is brilliant
It works pretty well. In fact, I'd give it five stars if only it didn't open up the Options tab EVERY SINGLE TIME I start up Chrome.
I would like it if it worked! I don't have a microphone in my search bar, and I have tried almost everything to get it back, all to no avail.
Voice recognition is excellent, however it keeps opening a new tab when I open my browser. I think this is if there is no Internet connectivity or no mic attached but it's unnecessary and annoying. Removing.

It works! If you're reading this review, and you can't get it to work, click on the mic icon, then click on the mic icon at the top of the window that pops up, then click on "Open browser window". Now, every time I open a new tab, it goes to my search engine (in my case Google) and there's a mic icon in the omnibox. Hope that helps.

It wasn't what I was looking for, I was looking for a "voice search" and I had it before. GOOGLE is AWESOME and I'm glad it has so much to offer.
Seeing that it was last updated on February 21 2014, it would be fair to say that they've abandoned support. Don't waste your time to download this as it obviously does not work with any version of chrome after February 21 2014.
