Great but how do you unblock?? Really confused on that part

i love it

I've never written a review for anything before, but this one I just had to. I am addicted to certain websites like Youtube and could not figure out a way to block myself from them (aside from self-discipline of course). I have had this extension for about an hour or so now, and it has worked like an absolute charm. Thank you very much for this, developers! Worked fine for a day. Then it stopped blocking when I enter a website on the second day. Only works if I open a new tab and then return to the previous one that had the blocked website.

Exactly what I needed. Thank you so much. I particularly appreciate the option to set certain dates and even time of the day to block websites.

Just the thing I was looking for. While specific time slots, I want to focus on work. Unknowing you get some pop up or link - you click on shopping or social media site and end up wasting 10-15 min of work time. This just stops. you can have multiple slots, unlimited sites. What I would really like as nice to have thing is password protect time and URL settings so that a kid cant change it. There had to be locking on uninstalling extension but i guess its more about chrome and not particular extension. But this by far is best website blocker (and free and without Ads) that I have tried and I just love it.

Does exactly what I need. This isn't a parental control app because it can be bypassed easily, but it's good for preventing casual/addictive checking of websites that one would really rather not be checking so much. My only complaint is that it doesn't seem to be able to handle anything complex, for example I've blocked facebook.com, but I would like to be able to access facebook.com/messenger. It isn't a dealbreaker right now, but it would be good if I could still specify access to this part of the facebook domain.

I would really like to see some more customization in the password section, IE, custom passwords, custom time upon entering password, and such.

A little confusing to configure, but other than that it's good!

Cool! It even has parental control: e.g. block https://www.crazygames.com after 8 a.m. for your kid.

Great extension..BUT I've tried other website blockers, but was looking for a more minimalistic option. With some self control this helps me avoid browsing during work and fits my preference for minimalism. I had a few workarounds at first where I would open an incognito tab that didn't have the extension and proceed to browse. This was healthy at first because at least I wasn't logged in to my favorite websites (youtube, twitter), but overtime I had to enable it in incognito mode. The only thing I would add that I think still matches the product is if we could select times to disable websites for SPECIFIC days. During the weekend my ability to browse those sites is like a curve that rises Friday late afternoon, peaks on Saturday and declines Sunday evening, if the app could reflect this I would appreciate it greatly.

Waste of time - totally useless - doesn't work in incognito mode

It's really great in that it does actually block the website which I have found some extensions don't. The only downside is that its super easy to just go into the options and remove the blocked website. However, I think that's more of a problem with my own will power rather than the extension itself...

Works well but why do I still have to use -website to dismiss that website in google? There is a really imbecile website beslist.nl that keeps showing nonsense results in any search in google. I just hate that site and I never ever want it to show up, anywhere anyhow anytime. And the message "website was blocked" is a pain . . . . For Pete's sake just block it! Period.

If you go to a blocked website, you can't simply use the back button to get back to where you were. It doesn't work.

Entered websites and times in the blocking section in the settings, aaaand nothing was blocked -_-

Functionally, it works perfectly. But it's basically like "I don't want you to eat this cake, so I'll cover it with saran wrap." It's far too easy to just open up your options and remove all of your blocks. I think an option to enter a super long string of characters (just like the password) or something else to modify options would help deter instances of just-gonna-unblock-facebook-for-two-seconds. I can't be trusted.

Well, it is nice and easy to use (I like easy apps that just do what I want). But... I'm sorry to say that but it doesn't work very well :( . Sometimes it starts to block every website for no reason at all and I have to restart the app.

Blocks google extensions page asks you for password that you never set up instead of going to forgot password form goes to page for honor system donation had i known it was going to do this I would have not bothered. Very disappointing . How do I get into my google extensions now? be weary.

In Chrome version 60.0.3112.24 (beta channel), the width of the pop up extension menu became way to small to use. I meant the menu that appears when you press the extension icon to the right of the browser address bar.

I like it but could you add a way to unblock the website? I got this so I could regulate what sites my little brother could use while on my account and found it annoying that I couldn't turn it off.

The app does "block" websites, but the ridiculous thing is that when it blocks a site it pops up its own "Hey We Blocked This Site" page that you have to manually closed. That's all I would have had to do to get rid of the website I wanted blocked. Much tado about nothing. Why not just block the page and let it go?

Good parental access/workflow app. Highly recommended for people that like getting stuff done without distractions. The time of day feature is a welcome bonus!

It used to work fine for a while. Now, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. You can not always clic to block a page. When you do, nothing happen. Sometimes it just wont open so you can either block or enter an address to block the page. Even tried to close and reopen Chrome.

i have found ways of getting around it please fix this like block extensions

I have been using it since last week, to block Youtube, Facebook, Amazon, BBC, and the like during the day-time. It is really helpful to stay focused. I prefer hiding the Website Blocker icon from Chrome menu to make it less accessible to refuse unblocking the websites.

Would be great if you can add a feature to tell for next 2 hours block some URL. Weekdays have to be separated not clubbed together. Because each day would be some different setting.

Could you maybe add a feature to block the "chrome://settings/" too? So that people wont have to toggle the extension on and off just to bypass a website. And the password protect to access website is kind of not working... I'd like to input my own PIN code to proceed to a blocked website.

This is really convenient! Few things that would be even better: -Being able to customize weekdays per website blocked rather than for everything at once (like the times) -Being able to specify holidays: for example, normally from Mon-Fri I would want a certain website blocked for productivity reasons, but if it's like, Thanksgiving weekend, I would want to be able to access those sites even on a Thursday/Friday without turning them on for every Thursday and Friday.

Great program, easy to configure and lockable w password. great way to limit the children from those distracting websites when they are supposed to be working on homework!! Thank you developer.

Works great so far! Just got it and used it to block reddit to increase my productivity and it even blocked all extensions of the site.

The block method is very buggy. Sometimes it says "this page can't be blocked", and the next it can be and with ease.

Suggestion Make a option to change the time of website viewing to any length. Also make a password you get to use. Lastly get rid of the options on the banner of blocked website Note: I LOVE THIS

This thing came automatically in a ridiculous translation to my language (PT-br), it's so bad I can't even navigate it, so I didn't find a way of changing it to english. Very amateur stuff, do better next time.

I use your extension to block the Facebook, so that I cannot like your Facebook page. (j/k) I will give you five stars if I can make sub-url exceptions for a url, and be able to change the pop-up background theme (I don't like black background)
