It no longer seems to be able to download videos. :-\

Good extension but no longer can download videos at this time.

Videos can't be downloaded recently. I suspect IG has updated how they embed their videos. But images still work fine.

Videos can be downloaded sometimes. Some images can be downloaded while others cannot. Overall, I appreciate the tool!

It was fantastic to begin with but has recently stopped working. This could be a fault on my end but I cannot seem to fix it and download IG content anymore. Has anyone else had the same issue?

Videos no longer working. Has been a great extension before now.

I downloaded the first image without problems but than when i tried to download another one it didn't work anymore and didn't let me do anything

Videos aren't working anymore. You can still download images, so it's helpful for that.

Its a nifty little tool. My only problem is if I want to download more than one thing I have to close my browser in between downloads because the download button won't show up otherwise. It will show up for the first download but it won't show up again if I click on another thing unless I close the browser completely then re open it

Profile names not added in front of the downloaded file. Instagram post images are also of highest quality. But, Instagram story videos are of lower quality. [It is the same quality as every other extension on the chrome web store, so people wont know the difference. But there used to be an extension which is no longer available on the store and it still somehow gives better quality Instagram story videos. Instagram story images are of the highest quality, same as that removed extension] [Note to other reviewers: Don't ask me the name of that removed extension. I wont tell for its own safety. I have already mailed it to the developer. So just hope the developer looks into the source code and updates his extension.]

Ability to download videos suddenly went away (download option doesn't pop up, still does with photos though) Tried redownloading but no luck. Still, this extension is pretty awesome and considering it's free, I'm not complaining.

AMAZING

As a social media manager, this app saves me SO MUCH TIME. I love that it can download the full-res version. In the old days, I used to dig through the source code just to find the full 1080x1350 full size image. This is so much faster. Simple, clean interface too.

I've been reading many reviews however it is suppose to scan and provide output for larges size available out of 4+ resolutions although I've researched and the apparent largest image resolution for IG posts is 1440x whatever number so when I've used this it goes at the most as 1080x or lower...why doesn't it attempt to go for the maximum then on that 1440p perspective?

Love this extension! My only complaint is I can no longer open videos in a new tab. Luckily I can still download them, but if you could fix the new tab function, that would be much appreciated!

This extension is awesome. For some reason, the "OPEN IN TAB" option for videos stopped working a few weeks ago. I think it has something to do with the URL that Facebook/Instagram generates. If you remove the _nc_sid query string at the end of the URL, the video will load in the browser but you'll have to deal with buffering problems.

Until now it is working like a charm. Very well done.

Initially didn't work for me even though I was on the latest Chrome version. I figured I'd try and close and restart Chrome and the overlay appeared on the image and I could open images in another tab or download them. I love to use this to see photo reference to do face studies at my PC, it's really useful!

Very good! Easily downloads photos in great quality, and downloading stories/videos is very easy as well. I love the option to either download, or view the photos/videos in a different tab. Excellent extension!

Edwin, this is the best thing ever

I love an open source extension. However, it didn't do exactly what it's supposed to do, this extension doesn't pull data from Instagram it just screenshots the opened image instead, this is how I understood from dabbling with millions of other extensions, let me explain, if I download a photo from the photo grid it the resolution will be 240x240, if I open it its gonna be 600x800, if I download a video story or a photo story this is a little tricky, videos are around 600x1100, and for photos are 750x1333 its always the same resolution for a photo story. I hope you find a workaround for this issue not everyone will care but I do and it's annoying

Needs Significant Improvement... Mediocre Service & Downloads Video In Extremely-Low Quality & Not Of It's Highest Quality... Do Not Depend On This Extension For Downloading Videos... Still Needs A Lot Of Improvement... THUMBS DOWN!

I have an extension that lets me use google extensions on Opera. i tried it on Chrome and it works flawlessly. but it doesn't work on Opera - nothing happens when I click on the image/ video. I would really appreciate if you could help. Thank you so much!

Finally an wonderful extension to download IG photos & videos!

Very easy to use. One thing is that when it's a VDO carousel post, the saving can only save the first clip of the post. I've tried on many posts, it couldn't save the 2nd and further clips. It'd just select and save the 1st clip on every VDO carousel post. If you can fix this, it'd be much appreciated. Thanks!!

i already blocked the invisible overlay preventing u frm being able to rightclick and get the image, alongtimeago, with ublock. i found and added this extension hoping it would bypass the 640by800 limit insta imposes on lowres 768p screens like mine, but it serves no purpose for someone that already has ublock/can just download stories off sites like instadp etc

Please add a permanent icon button on corner of posts and stories, that copy link and text caption of post together. (Also button could shows on Instagram page, on each post's small view) Also copy all links of multi-photo posts, together instead of copying each 10 photos of post, one by one I use t.me/WebPageBot and t.me/DetachRoBot to get Instagram content uploaded to Telegram, with these links, thanks.

Useless. It keeps downloading a completely wrong video, not the one I'm trying to download...

Its good for downloading some things but insta videos on the post page downloads the wrong video.

Great for pictures! Doesn't seem to work for videos though. Also breaks another extension for downloading videos. Would be nice if the overlay appeared on the other side, or if you added use pointer-events: none.

at the beginning it works very excellent, but nowadays i can't download the video anymore, just always "loading" when I try to download videos

Great tool. One suggestion is to have an option to have an overlay on all media for quick download without first having to click into the photo; this will allow users who want a less intrusive experience to still use it while power users can quickly download everything they need. So far it's alright. Like most people I had another extension I really liked but was taken down for malware. That extension was able to download stories and had the ability to view stories in private without the poster knowing. One thing I would really like to see though is the ability to download to download videos. I would also like to see the username attached to the downloaded file. I've also had issue downloading videos too. So far though looks like a good extension with a lot of potential. This is all there is unless someone can get that other extension to work without the whole malware issue.

I just started to use this based on some of the reviews, because the previous one I was using had malware. I really like the interface so far. One thing I'd suggest is to prefix the filename with the profile name from which the picture, story, video is being downloaded from. This makes it easier to catalog the files.

This is a useful extension but I was unable to download IG stories. Not sure if it was an issue with my end? There were no options for download.

Was looking for a straightforward app that would be able to grab source code so I didn't have to inspect elements each time I needed images (sharing tagged content onto a brand page). This did the trick perfectly and saves me dealing with regram on my phone - now I can schedule posts easier.

Hi, this is a really great extension! For some reason it disappeared from my extensions yesterday, but I got it back now. But it seems that now it only works on the gallery thumbnails. If I open a post, there's no button, and this means I can't download individual photos from multiple-photo posts. Anyway, thanks a lot for the extension and keep it up!

Light, unintrusive and open source. So glad I found this.

I've tried a bunch of other "solutions", which either don't work any more or are garbage, only downloading a shrunken size, and messing with your prefered search provider etc. when the extension is installed. Yours is safe, simple, works, and gets me the highest resolution of the image available. I cannot thank you enough - this will save me a lot of time and aggravation.

this is great since it is easy to use for getting hd video and photo from post and story. I am not sure just me or majority, just now it stop function at story, left clicked the story the download and open in new tab are not pop out.

Awesome extension. However recently it started opening up an image in a new tab very large to a point that it's blurred so it's not full res of the image. Any idea why it does constantly opens up zoomed up in a new tab? thanks a lot

When I noticed that my go to (InstaG) was mysteriously removed from the chrome store I found this helpful little extension. It has 90% of the InstaG's functionality with a extra few features. The only thing missing really is a story bar at the top of the home page. Honestly, I'm not sure if that is needed anymore as this extension can download right from Instagram's built in story viewer (which InstaG could not do). The fact this is an open-source extension is fantastic icing on the cake. I'm truly amazed it doesn't have more users.
