Reviews & Comments of Panda 5 - Your favorite websites in one place chrome extension

I have been using this for a few years and it is one of my favorite Chrome plugins. It's so nice to use it as my default new tab, as work is sometimes super busy and I find myself having less and less time to find inspiration. This is perfect as I do not need to go out and find inspiring content, it's consistently there and allows me to keep track of industry news and design trends. Highly recommend!

Not interested in the built-in news options, so I attempted multiple times to get other RSS feeds into Panda. NONE of the 25+ RSS feeds that I attempted would take. None of them come up in search, even when grabbing the ACTUAL RSS URL. ... Same issues on WEB as on GOGGLE EXT. ... The OPML import option barely even works! It only imported one of my feeds. These aren't fringe websites either. They're established sites with industry-standard RSS feeds. Panda seems to ONLY cater to its own SELECT GROUP of publications. ... Disappointing.

easy to use and just get the job done

A must have for me. Been using Panda for more than 5 years and I can't imagine my chrome 'new tab' without it. With Panda, I can see feeds from multiple sources in one single view, easily and cleanly.

Pretty good, but slows down your browser a fair bit.

I was hopeful for this extension when seeing it on a YouTube review. However, it changes my New Tab to always open Panda without allow me to disable it. This is unaccepted behavior and should be reported as abuse. Uninstalling!

I love it. Best of the readymade little apps which show plenty of news resources in your browser. You can adjust to see news from major outlets - or eye candy.

Please add a feature for adding external sites too

I've been using Panda across various computers for years and love it. I'm a developer and a designer, and this extension helps keep my inspiration and fire during times where everything around us seems to strive to drain that energy. Instead of seeing some bland search bar in a new tab, I see things that can spark ideas and help me connect with like-minded creative individuals. Tons of layouts and features. Kick some money to the Panda team ASAP if you get mileage out of this extension.

Will be amazing to be able to add some other site. Overall is great to have it as my home page and having industry news is awesome.

Cannot add custom rss

This is great extension. It still needs some polishing; but I am sure it get better and better. Kudos to the developers of this extension.

I've been using this extension for years, and I love it more and more as time goes on. It's an amazing source of inspiration and productive/relevant distraction for me, and helps me stay up on design trends and user research.

Great product

One of the best chrome extension that I've ever used. been using it for more than 2 years now and still love it. Keeps me up to date with the best sources that I want to keep track of, by putting them in the view every now and then. 10/10 would highly recommend it to anyone who likes blogs, but are busy with stuff

I love using Panda. It's a nice flourish for my browser experience that often brings inspiration to my designs when I'm stuck. I recommend for any designer.

Most useful app on welcome screen on Chrome ever.

It's a nice extension, but use tooooooo much RAM. This problem still exists after many people reported years ago. Sad that the developer doesn't want/ cannot fix it.

Slow to load each tab. What's going on? Panda is constantly nagging about an activation email that never came. No option to resend the email. Can't add RSS feeds directly by RSS URL, unless it's one of their common feeds on the list. OPML import is broken and says to use an OPML file after I generated a new one that works everywhere else.

Useful tool but is horribly un-optimized. Takes up around 7gigs of RAM when chrome is left open for a week. Seems like a pretty bad memory leak.

Super cool idea – I love having everything in one place. I do wish that they had a data science section and that I can customise my home screen with a different chrome extension. Before Panda, I had Muzli as my landing page which I prefer over the Panda page, but unfortunately Panda overrides that. 10/10 would recommend to everyone though :)

Literally no idea what people are talking about with the RAM usage. I swear by this as my home page replacement on any Chromium browser.

Works very well for me for now. I just started using it but will report later if I face any of the issues reported here. It's a great plugin and I like the fact that I can get all my feed organized in my main page. Very nifty.

Really like this extension, i don't have to open new tabs for my favorite sites, its all aggregated together and presented very neatly.

It should show the articles' names big on the screen and not only on the side, maybe even with pics.

This extension is broken more often than it works. Constantly crashing in the background, constantly logging out and showing something else, constantly getting "corrupted" whatever that means. Right now all of my feeds are messed up and I see content I don't want multiple times across my page. Wouldn't usually complain as I use it for free, but since the "leave a review" banner seems to be popping up more than often, I thought maybe it's time.

It keeps crashing and needs to be repaired & now all links give a empty page with Not found!

Like the app but it breaks every 2 days.

Of course, there are some problems on product. Do you know any product without problem? Panda app is really nice, comfortable and they continue to improve. you have my full support. I am excited to see Panda app also on my phone. Good luck!

This is a good app, I don't see the crashes other folks mention. I run it in Brave as well as Chrome.

Both the extension and the website are amazing! Kudos to the developer for making such a great product. I've been loving it the whole time :)

Panda is the one. Simple as. I've been searching for start pages for years and changed every now and again, Panda feels like I've found the one. I love how simple it is and how easily it can be customised. Choosing what feed from behance is insane just the perfect cherry on top.

Latest changes wiped half of my feeds and won't let me add feeds - only option for remove is available but all clicks are dead clicks. Not sure what update was pushed - used to be my #1 source for updates on everything now it seems like I'll have to uninstall if no fixes are available.

I've always loved Panda. It's my main source for tech and design news. Keep it up!

didnt save pages when i did restart my computer but firefox do it as default

Don't use the notes launcher, there's no version control nor guaranteed saved state. Lost months of random inbox notes due to a randomly corrupted installation of this extension.

Many things at one place is awesome. Have been using Panda since few years. Its just awesome.

Has to be one of the most useful but most painful extensions to use. What the heck is this plugin doing in the background? Hogs all my CPU and RAM, as if Chrome wasn't already on the job.

continues to crash and disappears from Chrome. you need to keep going to Chrome extensions page and hitting "repair"
