worked until today. changed my default page, malware

don't get this extension, changes your default new page/search to some random 3rd party one. this extension is just adware now

forced to set their search page as default tab. this is now malware

I tried it today and I just love it. I can directly cast Youtube from my phone onto my Mac.

This extension is perfect for people like me who want the same YouTube experience on their big-screen T|Vs as they do on their computer or smartphone. I love many features of this extension like I can control playback, volume, and more without leaving the YouTube app. It`s worth giving a try

Used to work perfectly. Now it opens up ads while you're using it. Someone needs to make a new version without adware.

Keeps exhibiting suspicious behavior like opening a separate window in my browser that says "Window for run google analytic". This extension is most likely harvesting user data so it can be sold to advertisers; I'd advise you steer clear.

With this extension, I can give my desktop browser a 'YouTube for the TV' look, just like the YouTube app on my Roku.

what is this small popup window for google analytics doing now. it wont go away. this is stupid

Came here because the extension was disabled due to now needing permission to read my browser history. I see no explanation why, only people saying the extension is now adware. Uninstalled.

App requested permission to "Read your browsing history" which it did not require before. App is likely harvesting user data in return for "functionality". Do not add to Chrome.

BEWARE: Adware, limits playback to 720p.

It has adware built into it navigate to your app data folder C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Extensions\gmmbpchnelmlmndfnckechknbohhjpge\0.0.5_0 then after you get there delete all the .JS files to stop the pop ups the only reason i would recommend using this app is if you want to control your videos from your phone like you used to be able too untill google made it a paid feature

Does what it says, but randomly opens pop-ups. Please don't install because it probably has spyware too. And a great alternative is to change your User-Agent to "SMART-TV; Tizen 4.0" in the Dev Tools.

Product does what it says on the tin. However it will also hijack your browser to open ads. Avoid like the plague it is.

This app does work but it is filled with adware DO NOT INSTALL. I cleared my chrome last time and didn't expect this app to be the adware. I reinstalled it recently and pop ups have began again!

I can also confirm that this extension is adware and gives me a gogoaway tab popup

this extension works well im not getting any popups so i do not know what everyone is talking about. But that is probably cause i have ad block but adblock is not reporting any ads being blocked so im not sure.

Does what you need it to. Also does what you dont want it to. Keeps opening spam websites. Definitely Malware behaviour. I did not notice it do anything that would harm my PC, but I will not take the chance. Whoever made this, made a good extension, then made it potentially harmful.

Totallly works!!! Works just like chromecast. I can directly cast Youtube from my pixel 4 onto my PC, but it needed to be set up through typing in code first though.

I'm having the adware problem, but i'm also generally just unable to play videos for some reason? Is anybody else having an issue where when they try to play a video it gives you a "Something went wrong" error message? If so, is there any way to fix it? This app used to work wonderfully but it suddenly went south and i'm upset

Like others have said it now regularly opens adds if it detects you as from one of these countries: AU,AT,BE,CA,DK,FI,FR,DE,GR,IS,IE,IT,LI,LU,MC,NL,NZ,NO,PT,SG,ES,SE,CH,GB,US All this extension does is change the user agent of your browser to: "Mozilla/5.0 (SMART-TV; Linux; Tizen 5.0) AppleWebKit/538.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0 NativeTVAds Safari/538.1" Many other extensions will allow you to do this without ads, just a quick Google for changing your user agent will help and use the above agent (without quotes).

Doesn't actually work any longer (youtube.com/tv just says "Something went wrong"). Worse than that, now randomly opens tabs with random sites. This is now purely adware.

SPAM SPAM SPAM - Like everyone else here has said, this extension, and this PUBLISHER, just produce constant ad popups (new tabs). And shame on you Google for requiring that I have it CURRENTLY installed to write a review!!! I had to enable a spamming extension just to report it???

Yup as like everyone else, this causes tabs of ads to pop up by themselves. Which is very concerning. AVOID!

Seconding other people here - this keeps popping up various spam sites, don't install!

It used to work well but is now adware. To remove popups, remove all the ".js" files except "background.js" and all the references to them in "manifest.json" and load the unpacked extension.

This extension is now just a malware trap, It reroutes you to websites like dudepages.com or ikitties.

Was great while it lasted but it started opening new tabs to shady websites as of recently.

This extension intermitently (for abot 5 to 10 minutes) will open a new unrelated ad tab for spinbomb.com without stating this behaviour. Do not install this extension.

It was OK when it was working, but in mid March it dosen't play the videos any more, and I wxperienced the random ad things before.

The app works as intended but installs adware on your browser, very scummy.

Worked good for a while, but started randomly opening tabs on my computer for ikitties and some dude website. My antivirus couldn't find an issue, and almost formatted my computer. Stay far away from this app it could be doing a lot more than just randomly opening dangerous ad sites at random times. I'm hoping it gets ripped down for this.

It used to work, but on the latest version, it started storing info about my computer without my consent, and it is opening random webpages like "Ikitties.com" and "dudepages.com" every now and then. I just reported the extension, but if you see this before they take this extension down, I strongly recomment you not to download.

The best thing, it allows me to use my TV as smart TV though my laptop and allows to cast from my Phone.
