been looking for a normal app like that for a few hours, all the other ones are either spying on browsing history like creeps or very proprietary, this one is gold

This is very USEFUl translator.

Translate by hotkey `Option + X` or `ALT + X` does not keep old sentenses that I type before.

I've tried many similar extensions. This is the best one.

I have tried many such extensions and this one excels in every regard. I especially like its ability to translate a block of text on a web page just by pressing the hotkey when mouse over it. This is especially useful for titles (chapters in a table of contents) that are usually clickable, so it is not easy to select/highlight them. And the "block of text" here does not mean only the word you are mousing over; the extension translates the whole block, i.e. the whole line or even the whole paragraph. Thank you for this excellent extension.

I had this extension for a long time but I uninstalled it today. I noticed that an extension causes my google search results to be redirected to a website called "mtusrede.de" which is an unwanted advertisement and scam website. After disabling all of my extensions and enabling them one by one, I noticed that this extension makes the problem.

Popup translate-icon doesn't appear when selecting texts in the text boxes, e.g. a comment box or like this box I'm writing this review on etc. other than this it's working fine.

awesome translator

i really liked this, helped my on my test only problem that i had with it was that i had to download it and remove it a couple of times because sometimes it the pop up window wouldn't pop up and the same would happen if you would tamper with the size of the pop up too much, but when it works its amazing

1) x-translate div breaks redirects (webflow, eg - if I remove div - all ok) 2) breaks something in headers (if I remove div - all ok) Ext is so good and comfortable but I've deleted it for reasons above . =(

Возможно, лучше заменить их на китайские переводчики от Baidu и Dear Translate от Youdao? Пожалуйста, исправьте, ибо приложение- удобное и грамотно построено. Спасибо заранее.

When using for over 15 minutes, google and bing block requests from this app (changing translation delay doesn't help). Also, after some time app started showing a blank popup when clicked in toolbar instead of a translator. Nothing helped with that until i reinstalled it which deleted all my settings etc.. Don't bother.

Wide customization of popup. Sometimes the Google translator can break, but then you can switch on Yandex although it worse. The best free app of its kind.

is very funny that there is no copy button on this extension after translating my text from English to other language i could not see a copy button to copy what i just translated. you guys should try to include a copy button on the next upgrade. so that anyone can be able to copy what they translated from one language to another language without any stress after observing the fault of inability to copy a translated words. it really discourage me to use this extension and i then had it in mind to just delete the extension from my chrome, i am sure this happened to several other people that didn't comment here. but i will be patient and leave the extension on my chrome for some time to see if you guys will include the copy button. if i do not find this in the next upgrade, then i will have to find another extension that will replace this extension . deleting this extension from my chrome will be a stable option when i don't find the copy button in the next upgrade. i hope you look into this

the best extension for online translate in pages

The description starts "Translate texts within page context", but that doesn't mean what you might think it means. It doesn't translate the site in-place like built-in chrome translation does, but merely shows a popup "within the page" (i. e. not in a new tab) with the translation. For what I would think is the most common use case--reading full pages in a foreign language--it just doesn't fit in the workflow. One extra star deducted because I suspect the description is intentionally misleading.

this is one of the simplest and advance translation extension on chrome. it is easy to use and easy to deploy in advance mode. i really love it.

Useful, Simple and Fast

Fantastic app. I've been looking for this for hours- I'm learning Spanish and already know quite a bit, so don't need the whole page or para translating. Also important to me- I hate having to keep clicking the mouse button; with this, just double tap the trackpad with the cursor over the word you need, or 3 times to highlight and translate the whole paragraph. The translation is fast and is displayed very clearly WITHOUT obscuring the original text. Very highly recommended

A very, very, very useful extension. I've tried many similar extensions and this one is the best for me if it's about Google, Yandex and Bing dictionaries and text translation. Everything is done just with two clicks or a highlighting and a click. Thank you.

UPD: Так как рекламы больше нет, ставлю 5, так как расширение одно из лучших в своем роде Раньше нравилось это расширение и оно было лучшее в своем роде. Но сейчас оно добавляет рекламу, при чем далеко не в самой приятной форме (заметьте, что это расширение не просто так было заблокировано в Опере как вредоносное). Сначала у вас есть триал-период (о котором почему-то ничего нигде не сказано), потом предлагают или заплатить, или включить рекламу. О рекламе, из того что я успел увидеть до того как удалил расширение: 1) на сайтах начал появляться яндекс-советник с постоянными всплывающими предложениями (при чем если в настройках советника поставить сайт в исключение, это ничего не меняет). 2) при чтении и попытке перевода слова меня сразу же перенаправило на другой сайт, при чем не в отдельной вкладке или окне, а в той же вкладке, что вдвойне неприятно. Исходя из этого, у меня вопрос к автору - зачем надо было делать это таким образом? Почему бы не сделать рекламу опциональной, как в том же Instant translate - по умолчанию включена, но если тебе она совершенно не к чему, то можно бы было отключить. Пока что вернулся к версии 1.199 и запретил ей обновление и надеюсь автор сделает все лучшим образом и я смогу еще в будущем поставить расширению 5 (так как оно по функционалу все еще остается лучшим среди других), но пока только так.

great indeed. but the last version lacks the option of having all three - Google, Yandex and Bing translators automatically one after another, when right clicking. it was a very good feature to have all three versions of a translation without going in settings. I don't understand why a good thing disappeared. thanks!

I have just installed it and used on couple of website. So far I like its approach specially about the small popup for the pronunciation of words. Excellent work done by the IXROCK.
