Wasn't for me. It wrecked subtitle sync on media streaming and I was still seeing ads. And as others have mentioned, getting a pop-up from the service I was using to block ads and pop-ups was irritating. Ad blockers should be so unobtrusive you can forget they're working. This wasn't it.

Counter productive. I downloaded this to block ads, but this app has more pop-up ads of itself than it blocks other ads. And when I say pop up, I mean "pop". They shake, they move, they pop up in all different parts of your screen, without warning and all the time. Would not recommend.

It blocks ads but then this dumb pop ups to buy the premium version, I guesss that's what it was, keep popping up. Why make an ad blocker with a bunch of pop up ads? Doesn't make sense. I'm deleting it.

This kept me not worrying about ads and blocking trackers. I love the protection

It certainly does the job but the moment you get settled it starts pestering you with ads for itself. There's no way to stop it, so out it goes and I'll stick with Adblock plus that's been doing a good job for years. I installed it on the recommendation of some journalist who managed to get a minor bit of PUPware installed at the same time -no idea what it was for but I spotted it and deleted it immediately. The whole excercise was a waste of time and effort. Bye bye Total Adblock.

I bought the Total AV cause some idiot website said it was the best, obviously not. I get just as many of it's annoying popup ads to pay more money to get rid of the ads that TotalAV was suppose to get rid of. It's a scam pure and simple I will uninstall and find something else. Very sad that TotalAV does this to people, I guess they have no conscience!!

if you don't like ads you picked the right extension. BUT it lags a LOT and plus it doesn't block yt ads

Has more popups and ads than without it, very annoying and doesn't block twitch ads. You're better off with any other adblocker.

It's amazing! I've been using this for a few days and it has been blocking every single ad and letting me watch YT in peace. 10/10, would definitely recommend.

at first i loved it. then my computer started freezing than it got to the point i would have to turn my computer off. id be right in the middle of doing something and it would just freeze then would go blank then nothing id have to start all over. It have happened with all the SSDI paperwork for my husband. All of his paperwork for his Doctors, his assistance paperwork. I'm now having to start everything over from the start. DO NOT PUT THIS ON YOUR COMPUTER UNLESS YOU LOVE DOING THINGS TEN TIMES OVER. IF YOU DO GO AHEAD KNOCK YOURSELF OUT WITH THAT HAVE FUN. MEANWHILE I HAVE EVERYTHING I HAVE TO START OVER. The second time I have been stupid enough to spend money on this bad joke and nothing has changed. Refuses to download ad blocker and gives me anti virus instead. No one to contact, just a Hamster wheel of mis directions.

There is no better adblocker on the market right now. Works flawlessly. I only hesitate to give it 5 stars because it too has annoying popups trying to shill you more products. There's still less overall than before, but come on, really?

Life is so much better now. No adds, pictures or videos, on any site, ever. Not only is browsing so much better, but it saves me on internet costs which I pay for my the MB. Easily worth the money, essential as far as I'm concerned.

it worked for less then a month and i paid for the full year and i get non stop ads all the time and when i check the stats it says its bocked ads but it never does not sure they test there product in popular area such as twitch

Worked great for the first couple of weeks, then stopped blocking ads on YouTube and web pages and started spamming me with "Upgrade to premium" ads. Even more ads is not why you get an adblocker. It's not actually free, they just want your money. Overall I don't recommend it.

I can't tell you how much time this app has saved me! Sitting through meaningless commercials and endless pop-ups is exhausting, and can ruin many online experiences as you're continually interrupted. I stopped watching ANY network TV on cable or digital for that very reason 14 years ago. This app is worth every penny! I can now watch videos from websites without being stopped at very important or crucial scenes. Lately though, Google has been changing my settings at start-up, and not automatically starting the app on every page, so keep an eye out for it, but it's not hard to miss when your not used to seeing any ads at all. I would definitely recommend it if you enjoy online videos. without any interruptions.

Just got it...I tried to watch USA News live streaming and tons of ads....could not see screen...immediately all gone and watching USA news, because as a Brit interested in Politics.

I've trialled it for a week and bought it last night. I would have given it five stars except for the fact that you keep asking me to download TotalAV. I run ESET on anything and don't want an extra antivirus tat may cause conflicts. Can YOU please MODIFY TotalAdBlock to AUTOMATICALLY block your adverts for Total AV? IT IS ANNOYING!!!

I have purchased this program three times trying to get rid of a notice that I need to renew a paid up program. They place this notice in the upper right hand conner so that it will block any ligament response you may need to respond to, you first have x-out there "There you need to renew notice." I have gone to the the extreme measure of deleting all of their programs and scrubbing their sight from my computer, all app's are gone but one, that you need to " re-new you not expired notice " I took it to Best Buy to their GEEK SQUAD they could not get rid of this hideous notice. So fellow human beings, unless you too wish to fall unto their never ending hell I would suggest you avoid this company lie the never ending hell they are. dmjphd.

I subscribed on 12/2/22 and again on 1/26/23.....now receiving a pop up that I am not subscribed....have confirmation nbr. This purchase was with Paypal.....of course they have no record nor does Adblock have a contact number. Yet, Adblock is keeping score of the ads they are blocking????...annoying...I do not need that info. Also when I sign in to google browser....their ad is so aggressive it pops up on search line, resulting in deletion and retyping my search choice. Also still getting ads. Possibly I do not understand the concept of Adblock....and apparently will never know since there is on contact info. for live agent.

It really worked well, but the reason I rate this 2/5 is because I was unable to remove it's intrusive ads, even after removing the extension a long time ago. I REALLY HATE THOSE POST-REMOVAL POP-UP ADS! REMOVE THEM, PLEASE!!!!!

Really works well even on Bings daily news feed ands Youtube. Good product BUT, what I really don't like is dinging my account for $9.95. I'd sure like to know how they got my bank account information completely without my permission. Four stars deducted, just for that very underhanded practice.

Don't trust its $1 trail, it'll charge you later, you don't even know it. I rate 2 star because it really block ads.

for few days thought was good, on par with other known ad blockers but then they show just as many ads that they blocked, make you turn back on for individual sites everytime you restart brower, so considering the truly free ones avalable and ask for a donation occasionally dont use this i would only recommend this one if you are prepared to pay for it, tbh cant see any diff from truly free ones to this one

I'm unable to disable "Total Adblock" ads. It seems to work well for all the sites I visit, but the extension has it's own ads that constantly popup and are more intrusive than the ads I get from the sites I visit. Pretty disappointed so far. I'll give it another week of evaluation but will likely remove it in the end. It's a nice product but with it's own intrusive ads? I'm not liking it! Now I'm looking for an adblocker that blocks "Total Adblock" ads. Where does this end?

its a good extension, it does what it says on the tin, however if you need to relogin or have a fresh browser install, it has a confusing set of menus to log back in, almost making it impossible to login and crack on surfing the web, good product but riddled with poor user friendly dashboard and logins for current premium users

I added this extension a few days ago but disabled it in order to compare it with uBlock Origin. uBlock worked very well, but I thought that I should try this one anyway. My trial period expired before I used it for more than a couple of page loads, I guess because of the date that I added it. That's when I read reviews that said some users had trouble even if they upgraded. Glad I didn't. I will remove it.

Like a fool, I paid for an account on Total Adblocker. After a week, it started displaying its own popup ads telling me how good they were in blocking ads for me. Now it is asking that I pay them AGAIN just to contact support. WHY? Because it doesn't show that I have a paid account any more. This app needs to be removed from Chrome store and EVERY DOLLAR REFUNDED. This is a FRAUD by every definition, and I am filing with the FTC.

It does remove other peoples ads, but, if you don't pay them, they forcefully serve their own ads. You're essentially just switching normal ads for more intrusive ads from them. Horrible product.

This Ad Blocker app does NOT work as it claims to be in their website, it keeps on popping up its own Ads/Windows numerous times rather than blocking/dismissing other Ads, which is very very very annoying!!! I'd rather not have it installed in the first place if I knew!!! Also, I only made an initial one-time purchase of AUD$2.99 to trial it, but I got subscribed to a recurring charge of AUD$9.95 automatically afterwards without my knowledge or explicit approval which is fraudulent and deceptive!!! Lastly, I never authorised my creditcard detail to be held in their website but somehow they have it there, where I've been trying to delete but to no avail as the button does not work!!! I also had to go through multiple warnings/confirmations just to cancel my subscription, and I am still waiting for the confirmation from their Support team who has also tried very hard to keep me as their customer and warn me of the disadvantages of not having this very annoying and useless app!!! I WANT MY MONEY BACK PLEASE!!!

Claiming to block pop-ups while creating innumerable, commercially oriented pop-ups designed to increase its own revenue is FRAUDULENT, deceptive and misleading. A "Block Unlimited Ads on Your Favorite Websites Upgrade To Premium Now TOTAL Adblock" pop-up appears frequently forcing you to close it to see the page content!

I want my money back, and DO NOT RENEW MY Subscription. Did not do what it claimed to do, and screwed up my computer.

This is just stupid. STU-PID. STUPID. I got too many, WAY too many ads. Plus, I could just buy site supporter on NationStates, which is like just 2.99. That's a great deal. AND IT DOES THIS SPAMMER'S JOB! Guys, do NOT install this. It gives you more ads than they block.

This is very, very intrusive in that it constantly keeps putting up popups about how many ads blocked and badgering people to purchase their Total adblock premium service. Plus it was misrepresented in the initial description page that I saw in Chrome web store which did NOT say it was only a 7 day trial and then the premium service would have to be purchased after 7 days. This company are TOTALly untrustworthy in that when I had their Total Internet Security package purchased for £19.90 that was very intrusive too and I had to remove it after only a couple of weeks but 10 months later I started getting emails and popups from them saying that my subscription would be automatically renewed for £119 for one year. I sent several emails to them telling them NOT to renew and to cancel my subscription Despite me having told them this they sent me emails in answer to my emails asking stupid questions about why did I want to cancel and always stalling and never coming straight out and telling me they would cancel my subscription as I had requested. BUT they still billed me £119 via PayPal. When I requested a refund from them they wouldn't give it to me. I contacted Paypal and sent them all the emails I had sent to the company over the 2 months prior to the subscription renewal and PayPal found in my favour and returned the £119 to me. I don't trust this company and neither should anyone else! This company are NOT in business to give everyone a good service this company are in business to rip you off any way they can and take your money and they completely ignore any good morals or ethics about good customer service etcetera

This does block most ads--except ads for adblocker. HOWEVER, it blocks several sites that I use and know to be safe. Must figure out how to avoid this. Otherwise, I will have to try something else. The Web did not use to be this bad.

This is an excellent extension; it stops me seeing nearly every ad, on virtually every site I visit. What's not to love? Well, I'll tell you. I get more pop-ups now than I did before. And every one is an ad for Total Adblock. I've had it for a week - I have to say, it may be gone by next Tuesday.

Parasitic spammer. Replaces your ad with ads for their paid version. Pages which I know do not have ads, now get ads for their paid version - new tabs open - it's an ad for their page version - third page pop up - ad for their paid version. Its the Ad blocker that gives you more ads! (except Youtube - it just can't block Youtube ads). Your screen is now their billboard. As subtitle and unobtrusive as an unannounced prostrate exam. Avoid.

Forgot I even had this extension installed as I haven´t touched this laptop in a good few months. Before browsing, I had to deal with a boatload of pop ups, auto opening tabs and all sorts of stuff I hate. Turns out it was for an ad BLOCKER. Could've fooled me with this app generator. I get that everybody needs to eat, but shoving your "special deal" down my throat 3 tabs at a time isn´t selling my on the ease of ad free browsing. Can´t even remember how well it did when I used the laptop so it must've not been exceptional.

Ok so the app works great but here's the thing. This is an adblock right? Made for people who hate ads? Then why DOES IT HAVE ITS OWN ADS?! It didn't remove any of the ads that were actually bothering me. No pop ups were removed at all. Then it added a bunch of popups of its own. It literally made my experience WORSE.

yes it blocks youtube ads and othe ads but uless your have the permuim version it'll give you 50 ads of its own a day, perfect if your willing to spend some money but other than that its basically garbage

Replaces the cites adds with tons of its own. I'd suggest another add blocker that actually removes adds, instead of replaces them.

It charged me 10 dollars for a subscription i didn;t want. The whole time it was trying to charge my card it was more intrusive with its ppop up and new windows on chrome launch, than any ad ive ever encountered. Unless you want to pay monthly subcription to the service highly dont recommend. It will annoy you every time you open google chrome.

Ok, I'm still on the free trial, so I speak from that, BUT THIS IS LITERALLY THE BEST THING THAT HAPPENED IN MY LIFE. Funimation gives you like 7, 30 second unskippable ads in a row every 10 minutes, AND IT BLOCKED ALL OF THEM. IT EVEN MADE MY BROWSER FASTER. saved my life <3

The constant pop-ups advertising a $29 Total Adblock Premium product are unacceptable. I removed it from Chrome after a week.

This extension really cleans up your web experience. I can work again. I'm not bothered by ads. I can make screen recordings without editing ads out... because there aren't any. Love IT!

Good for adblocking, however it labels itself as "Free" and then bombards you with ads to sign up for their premium, it got worse after the "trial" expired and kept popping up the little widget to sign up for premium, and I mean it KEPT DOING IT. I would close it and then it would pop back up after a few seconds. Even after I removed it to look for a new, actually free adblocker, it would give me a giant pop up to install it again it was insane. You should just use it for a few days then look for a new one. It's not one star because it was actually good at adblocking for a week or two

This extension suddenly started serving its own ads on web pages to upgrade to a premium version. I've had the extension for a long time and this is a new development. Too bad.

This is not FREE! Yes, it does stop most advertisements but in stead, seeing Total Adblock advertisements. Every few minutes, asks me to buy the premier version. Although I ignore it, keeps displaying notification that I have already reached the daily limit. To by pass it, pay for the premier. After 5 days of usage, I decided to remove it.

Fr I thought this was gonna be one of those virusus but it works! I stop seeing the 5 mintues away soon after lol. Seriously try it out it works.

It works great for a week, but then unless you upgrade to the paid version, it keeps popping up its own ads for total ad blocker. The developers of an ad blocker that spams you with ads for itself deserve their own chapter in Dante's Inferno.

Well, this helped a LOT. I never got ads anymore but it pops up every ad it blocks. A little annoying but totally worth it. I have also heard some bad reviews though. I am thinking about uninstalling, but personally this worked great it for me.

Very nice, only issue is the ad it sometimes gives you to block ads, usually is at the bottom of the screen, but other than that its great, tbh I have no idea why there's a bunch of 1 star reviews, after all it's FREE!

Junk! Blocks content needed for sites to work properly on almost every website I visit. Not to mention the constant pop-ups saying how many ads it's "blocked", might as well have the ads still, equally as annoying. And most of the apparently blocked ads it's counting aren't ads anyway, its the content needed to view website that it's incorrectly blocked.

It did not block ads for 90% of sites i visited and i was unable to cancel my 8.99$ A MONTH subscription when i easily downloaded a highly trusted free adblocker off chrome web-store.

Yes at startup it usually pops up wanting me to purchase a bigger package, but big deal the free ones works pretty good for me. I no longer have ads popping up over EVERYTHING. Try to do some research and you spend more time shutting down ads than reading, this stops that. I am pretty happy with it.

It literally replaces ads with popups saying BUY OUR PREMIUM and if you dont it disables the adblocker There are many good free adblockers on the webstore this is not one of them this is just a cash grab scam

So, I bought the basic version to get rid of Youtube ads. NOW I GET ADS TO UPGRADE *THIS* EXTENSION ON SITES. They are MORE annoying than the original ads since they POP-UP over the page. Advertised as completely free, really a short trial (that doesn't really work) and pushes the upgrade through popups and opening tabs over the home page when no permission was given

grate blocks a tune of ad but must in pordent traker makes me feel safe online and makes me fell good that my grandma uses it she had like 7 virsus I was able to get block and get trakers away but it does all want you to buy the better vertion

Originally liked it and didn't run into any difficulties. Opted to try their premium service and discovered when trying to re-subscribe at the end of the service period that they were not being open with the country they were requesting payment from (They requested through the UK when I was buying it in US and they gave no notification of this source). I had my debit card blocked for concerns of unexpected travelling. Very Shady!
