works well but it seems to inject an invisible div by id "sukan" on every page, and I can't figure out why, or how it's doing it by looking at the source code, which sketches me out a bit.
Finally one with a shortcut so I can use it in Pop-ups!
Worked great until recently. Now crashes periodically and sometimes causes Chrome to crash too.
easy and do the job with a single click as it says in the description
Does what it says, nice and easy.
Indispensable! The scrolling ad thing was only very temporary.. haven't seen it for ~2 years..
I've been using it for months now with no issues, and it's been really helpful for getting past some of the annoying bits on like news websites and such. it doesn't give popups or spam or anything, idk why some older reviews knock it for that, it's just a helpful little one click button to individually disable javascript
Works like a charm. Went to read an article on the NY Times website and a pop-up came up that doesn't allow you to view their article without logging in. So I click on this extension on my browser and it removed the subscriber pop-up.
It's very nice to be able to enable or disable JS by domain, the only thing I am needing from this extension is the ability to temporarily set a rule for a domain, and have that rule disappear after Chrome is closed, and the ability to modify the local storage rules manually. Also, the extension seems to interfere with Google Apps menu on the Chrome "new tab" page.
現在的Chrome已經可以控制網域要不要使用JavaScript了。這個功能似乎就沒那麼必要了。
Worked fine, but removed because of all of the sketchy permissions it requires... would not recommend, for this privacy reason
Breaks the back arrow on Chrome OS so you can't go back to the previous page.
The green, red color area in the icon is so small to be seen.
This is best at its simplest form.
It does the job but it adds itself to the right click context menu automatically with no way to disable that. I now use a different switcher
This extension awesome. before knowing this extension i was starting typing website around 30 pages for me it will take half day. But while I use this extension it took 5 minutes for copy and paste. This made my day.....
There are a lot of sites with annoying popups and so forth, almost all of which come from javascript. All I have to do is click on the icon for this extension and all that junk is gone. Sometimes there's a trade-off because menus or images that you want to see on a website also use javascript. However, this add-on "fixes" 95% of the pop-up problem (for me).
I love this extension :) the whole KS campaign was a bit unfortunate, but anyway - keep heads up mlb!
Annoyed people are less likely to support something, especially the thing that's annoying them. In the future I suggest doing something like Adblock does, opening a tab just once asking for donations. Or try having your extension icon have a little exclamation point over it that does not flash and goes away once the user clicks it to check what's going on. The information panel would then link to your funding page or something similar. Really, just anything that doesn't flash and isn't animated but still gives a visual one-time indication of a notice you want to get across to the user works far better than what you've got going now. Despite what some might say no one's really upset you're asking for money, they're upset that your icon is animated, flashing, and draws attention to itself constantly.
I understand the dev needs to run a Kickstarter but the random blinking and scrolling info on the extension icon led me to uninstall it. I did not install the extension to have red things blinking at me randomly. Next time, consider a persistent dot or something less obtrusive. Very few users take kindly to blinking and attention grabbing.
Annoying kickstarter promotions!
Removed due to money spamming animated blinking reminder. Not okay. Super annoying.
The scrolling ads in the button for the dev's kickstarter campaigns are extremely annoying and intrusive, not to mention unnecessary. Removed.
It reloads page when user toggles it, so it's useless for me. I'd not submit 1-star review if it honestly said it does.
great to avoid potentially dangerous sites and applications, but the most useful feature is turning it off to bypass the "anti ad-blocker" screens
Very helpful when needing that text - NOW
I've recently started controlling which websites loaded javascript to save bandwidth while on bad wifi and found that it was amazing, but Chrome's own settings for that are awful and it's not easy to activate javascript just for the websites that really require it. This extension is amazing. Now I get to have javascript defaulting to off and can activate it for a website with a single click. I love you.
that's nice
Quick. Easy. Fast. Functional.
Love it, in an ideal world this would be a default. Merci !
It reloads the page when you turn JS off, making it useless in most of my use cases.
Fast, simple and easy. Way better than fiddling with adblock every five minutes.
Perfect
works
Great extension and very productive, especially now that Chrome managed to hide so well the disable JS option
good
Can only enable/disable JS from the button, since the radio buttons shown from the search bar are always grayed out. The list of blocked sites can't be edited from the preferences. Still looking for something even half as good as NoScript on FF.
Works well. However cannot rate higher as you first must download the obnoxious content you don't want to see before you can block it. Really, that makes it worthless.
This is a must have for me.
good
Everyone should disable JS and install this app.
I need it to go
Love how you can leave it in a steady state on a per-page basis rather than always on/off for all sites.
One of the very few chrome extensions i use all the time. Thank you for contributing such a useful and helpful product that seemingly asks nothing from me in return. I wish everything in life worked this way. :)
awsm
Extremely straightforward to use, extremely useful!
This is a wonderful extension
Great extension... but it will force Twitter.com to redirect all browsing to its mobile.twitter.com address instead, even if you use incognito mode. To fix this, you need to uninstall the extension and then uninstall and reinstall Chrome. Sucks, but that's the only way it worked for me.
i want to try it
its like magic....brilliantly superb.... tons of thanks
This is amazing!
This is a really great extension. However, it would be extremely helpful to be able to disable Javascript BEFORE having to actually start downloading the page. For example, if I type "google.com" into my Chrome Omnibar, I should be able to disable the Javascript BEFORE having to actually start going to the page, rather than after. I know you can disable ALL Javascript and then turn it on on a site-by-site basis but that's a pain in the neck. Having this option would increase my rating to a 5-star because this extension is otherwise awesome and functions perfectly.
I Cant use it to open a secured site, which was the reason I am here
This is amazing! Adblock alone is just not enough these days.
Простой блокиратор, но позволяет снять ограничение на копирование текста с сайта или заблокировать всплывающие окна.
convenient switch for quickly removing the annoying pop-ups
Very useful on website containing popup for us to disable adblocker.
good job
Did not work for me.
If it bugs you when pages load slowly because of ads, animations, videos that autoplay, this is for you. When you just want to read what's on the page and not be bothered, this extension fixes the whole internet for you. Not only is it easy, it remembers the sites you've switched off. The only drawback to switching javascript off is when there's interactive content on the page or a video, then you'll need to turn it back on.
My favorite tool for disabling scroll-jacking on websites.
Works much better than Ad block/ ad block plus because it doesn't let ANYTHING past it. I was considering dumping Chrome because I don't feel it gives the end user enough control over their privacy (or makes you jump through hoops to get it which makes me trust it less). But with this add on, I can browse the internet in peace!! Love it!
This might be my single favorite Chrome extension. As a token of my gratitude, I made a small paypal donation. But can I request one small feature? A keyboard shortcut for toggling JS on or off, please!!
I like this extension, its makes my work easy
This is a great extension. Just one piece of suggestion. Could your team please change the icon? Example: Big Green gear icon for turn on, Big Red gear icon for turn off. Then it will be the perfect apps. :)
I use this so much to disable stupid ads and annoyances on tons of websites. Popovers, autoplay youtube videos, etc all removed with a button click. Thanks
Removes garbage from choice of pages, loads infinitely faster.
Works for the entire selected URL.
Better than the built-in functionality because it's one-click and has auto-refresh, but I wish it would give us the option of unblocking entire domains instead of just a subdomain. For certain sites where the subdomain constantly changes (like Bandcamp), I want to unblock the whole site but this extension only blocks that specific subdomain.
the best extension thank you
Superb! Thank you!
outstanding
Doesn't work properly. When you disable javascript on Twitter for example, you are redirected to mobile.twitter.com. When you re-enable it, you still get redirected to mobile.twitter.com. Doesn't happen with "Toggle Javascript"
I use it to counter the "Disable Adblock to read content" websites, simply turn off JavaScript for that site, and that's it, you don't need to disable Adblock, this is the first ever extension that I've bothered to rate and leave a review. Good job!
Exactly what I want, thank you!
not working
Good
Great ! Just what I wanted. Chrome developers could've added this as an in-built feature :/ Thanks :)
This is awesome.
THANK YOU!!! Some sites are incredibly overfilled with different crap js like advs and spy scripts. What a relief...
Since Chrome v52, this extension is completely non-functional. Seriously needs an update.
Probably my favorite extension. Especially given that the setting carry over to other computers
Thnx mister, very very useful, i tried before also ublock for blocking some terrible elements in the page, but it was useless, but now is done with your extension, thnx again.
This thing is awesome. I would recommend to anyone using it to right-click on the shortcut, choose "Go to JavaScript settings" and set the default to disallow JavaScript on sites. Then when you visit a new site it will not use JavaScript. If it looks unusable in this state then turn on JavaScript. Seriously, I'm excited about using this every day.
Great ! It worked for me !
Just like this system. It's really good for my working.
it doesn't stop javascript, it just reloads the page with javascript disabled.
Super
good
thanks
ok
THANK U!!!
this is useful and does the JOB :-)
It's very helpful...
i am hoping it will be my best friend when i am finished if it is i will giving you plenty more stars
Finally stopped the z.moatads.com horrible AdSupply ad's that float on the side of the browser page. Best Chrome addition I have ever used!
i love it
Works on a per-tab basis which is really nice.
Best extension ever. Great for those sites that take too long to load when you simply want to read an article
Update - this is even better than i thought, you only need this and no other pop-up blocker and stuff, great Job guys - really happy that i tried QJS!! Initial Review - Works perfectly. the websites i visit simply popup ads on every click .. This ext. only blocks for 1 website and not overall chrome. Cheers Developer!
Fast, reliable and very useful for anyone willing to copy-paste from right-click disabled sites.
