Doesnt remember the last place an image was saved, always tries to save in a default directory.

Mostly works as intended. However, for some reason additionally compresses image when saving "jpeg" as "jpg" - probably should not the full-on conversion process in such cases and instead just rename the file type itself.

Does exactly what it says it will do.

Needs .gif extension.

It does what Chrome should be able to do without having to add another extension.

Please save last downloaded location (like many have already suggested). It defaults to the download folder, every time. I could see perhaps the first time, but it should remember subsequent locations. Otherwise, works fine, thank you.

works fine but there are 2 things holding it back from being perfect. 1. It doesn't remember the last location you save in which is massively inconvenient, especially when downloading several images at once. and 2. It defaults every file name as download instead of the original file name which is annoying.

Requires full access to all sites. This is a security problem at the very least and a potential red flag for malicious behavior.

Just downloaded it, so far, it seems to be working as it should. Happy with the program add on.

Totally useless, it don't remember in which folder you want to save a image it always come back to the default folder ( and not the default folder of chrome, the default download folder of your pc, no matter if you have setup chrome downloads in a other folder )

we desperately need for this extension to save the last directory. it's a pain to work with it when every single time you have to browse for the last placement. it redirects to desktop every time, no matter what the chrome settings are set. otherwise a brilliant gadget. to this date I don't understand how stupid devs are to decide on transition to webp format. all us artists now have to deal with this by additionally wasting our time while downloading every damn image..

I love this extension. A request to the extension writer, could you please keep the image name intact. Using a placeholder like download is really cumbersome. I have to manually change it to download1.jpg or so on. Just use the original name and change the extension.

Great for video editors. Ignore all the 1 star comments. If you have to use online webp to png converters up until now, this is great. Right click, select png, hit save, and drag it into my video editor. This already saved me so much time. Thanks a lot!

Whoever coined the update that forces everyone to download picture as WebP can burn in hell. The fact that I have to download a 3rd party extension just to bypass such a worthless, and obstructive feature honestly baffles me. How backwards can you be, people at Google? Thank you for this, working as intended.

Great solution. Would be much better with the GIF option, and also if it could remember the location for the last file saved - by default it always sends you to the 'downloads' folder.

Works well enough for images, but I wish it had a GIF-option. It's unnecessarily difficult to save GIF's as GIF's now'a'days...

Save as Jpeg but then it saves it as a JFIF.... Doesn't work right....

Its really great cause I can finally download images without them becoming WebP, But it would be even greater if you could save GIFs as GIFs.

As of the 29th of August 2022 this is working fine for me. Saves a lot of time and headache saving images from a website in JPG format.

WebP (and WebM) are something that just should not exist. Support for these two is HORRIBLE at best and they are just really bad formats in general. Some people here are saying that its not working correctly or not working at all and all of them are wrong. It works just fine, if it doesnt then its a problem on your pc. I am so happy and thankful that this extension exists.

Doesn't work and was last updated in 2015. Needs to be removed from the store.

I'm using Opera GX, which can uses Chrome addon, but there's this annoying thing that sometimes, when I download image it comes in webp, which is annoying since very few sites accept webp in return, like say I post something on Facebook on my wall or story, which doesn't accept webp, sometimes glitched on Discord too, so that save all the hassle of downloading a webp and having to convert it afterwards!

Needs an option to either remember the last download location, or at least set a default folder.

Automatically names every file "latest" If I wanted to manually rename every image I downloaded I WOULD JUST TAKE A SCREENCAP! 0/5 Completely worthless!

As others have noted, it always defaults to the location set in Settings > Advanced > Downloads instead of the last folder saved to like Chrome's native downloader does it (with "Ask where to save each file before downloading" checked).

This add-on is a godsent especially now that webp is being forced down the web's throat. I would use it as my default way of downloading images if only it could recall the directory I last downloaded in. But this might be a problem caused by google rather than the add-on.

Great plugin. Does exactly what the description says. I wish someone would make a Chrome plugin that completely disables the webp file format or will auto convert them to a proper image type like .jpg or .png. I honestly don't know what Google was thinking with webp other than to introduce a completely useless format that will inconvenience 99% of users. If I could complexly disable that format I'd even pay for such a plugin. Hopefully also discourage website designers from ever using such an awful format in the first place. Giving this a 3/5 star just because the extension does not remember your save location. So when saving multiple images, this extension is very clunky to use.

This is the best extension since webp exists, at least for us people that uses web images as part of our work, and now that companies started attaching images in emails as webp even when they know that we will have to convert them in order to work with them (universal music included). Since I started using it three months ago, the extension hasn't redirect me at all to any site, some people complain because the saving folder is not "saved" but it's default save folder is the default downloads folder, so nothing to complain about there, you can just change that in chrome's settings anytime you need to.

Be careful! With this plugin being active my google search results were redirected to random shopping sites and went back to normal after disabling it.

Won't save in incognito mode despite permissions being turned on for that. Returns a very uninformative error message (an error occurred while loading the image) for all three file types. Works fine in normal mode. Using 64-bit Chrome 80.0.3987.122 (Official Build). Only quibble when it works is that it would be preferable to add it into the "save as" option box, rather than to the right click menu.

Stopped working yesterday , Can't save to any format even tried "open image in new tab" then save , Still won't work , Removed extension and reloaded it , Still won't work , Oh well , dzoesn't seem like support can help either so why am I ranting here ? Hmmm.

Does not work. When I try to save an image it fails.

This Extension works good. But there is one thing that is very annoying. This Extension does not remember the last directory that I saved an image in. This App is ok if you are saving an image or two. But if you want to save several images to the same directory, you will get annoyed with this Extension very fast when you have to navigate to the folder location over and over again. This is the only reason why I gave it 3 stars and not 5. I've removed this Extension from Chrome and am using a different Extension that works perfectly and remembers the last directory that I saved an image in.

Works great! One small issue is that it doesn't remember the last directory I saved in, so I have to navigate there each time. I'm using Chrome in OS X.

I can't get this app to work. I don't quite know what I'm doing it wrong, but it certainly isn't "download and instantly use".

I work exclusively with jpeg images. Don't need or want PNG. This little app works perfectly.

Jepg Quality are horrible. What is up with that?
