Does help me read. I have a corporate Chrome installation and am trying to read a book that is stored on my Google drive. Each time I changed ANYTHING like font size, the screen would go blank and I would have to re-load the book. It was easy to do, but a little incovenient. Other than that the interface was easy to use and it do perform it's main function which was to open up an epub and let me read it.

Uncomfortable interface, extension can't remember files you opened.

the book is shown well enough, but 1. i can't find the Table of Contents menu 2. when the header part of app is (accidentally) clicked and the web page of https://epub.freebusinessapps.net/reader is shown, the book is gone even when the 'upload from your device' menu is clicked

Very inconvenient. You can't just open the file "with Chrome". You need to open the extension, go to the menu, press a bunch of buttons, find this file on your computer, and only then open it. At the same time, the extension automatically loads only a tiny piece of the book, which makes it impossible to search through the text or simply fast-forward it.

I can not change size of text

Every time I open it, it opens two of itself. No ability to change that.

This works fine for me.

This extension provided a horrible reading experience. I'm a faithful Chrome user, so I figured this extension would work great with my Chrome browser. Nope. It loaded only portions of an ezine I'm publishing, but never the ends of any of the stories (several lines were missing from the ends of each) and skipped one page completely (how can it decide to do that?!). It does not include page breaks (that I could find), so the pages all ran together untidily. Our publishing logo was blown up huge and pixelated, and the other images were grainy (so it doesn't convert images well). My co-designer pointed me to a different epub reader that worked beautifully, where every line of the zine showed up properly and the images displayed correctly. I'm removing this extension, and I won't be using the Chrome epub reader ever again.

It just didn't work. Loaded the document but I could only view the first page. Whenever I tried to go to the next page it reloaded the tab and I had to reopen the document. Not helpful in the slightest. Also the menu options did nothing/wouldn't load.

I installed this because I wanted to be able to enlarge text and use a dark mode. These work but every time I change a setting it appears the entire file reloads and goes back to the beginning of the book. Not slick at all.

Installed but when I try to open an ePub file in Chrome it just re-downloads it and displays instructions saying I have to re-upload it to the extension to view it. Very non-intuitive. Just open it.

It's a bit flat. I can do more with Adobe free. the controls are clunky with the page turning only in one spot. Also you can't even search for a specific word. That makes it hard to use when researching.

The only tool that works. please keep it free and enhance it.

easy, simple, great

This worked great to read an algorithm book in epub format on an older chromebook. It's fullscreen with a small menu on the left. Colors and diagrams show up perfectly.

Total waste. and poor performance. Avoid

Scrolling is a pain. Usability is minimal. Navigation is non-existent. Don't install.

Only loads a tiny portion of text at a time so you can't search for anything

No table of contents button, can't scroll up/down without it reloading the same pages over and over, resizing the window takes you back to page 1.

It loads up my textbook, but I'm uninstalling it because it doesn't have any other features. The dark mode is nice, but you can't highlight or write any notes.

Because the app only loads small fraction of the book, it makes it impossible to search for anything and painful to scroll. Will uninstall.

It ruins HTML bullet points rendering due to an uncaught error. Would have submitted an issue if the project was hosted somewhere public but it isn't so 1 star.

Nice extension for reading books

It's easy to use however I wish it had the option to change the font style (Serif fonts are difficult to see for those with vision issues) and there doesn't appear to be a page count, which is important for me. Also, when doing the "swipe" option, it sometimes will bounce to the prior page or bounce the same page - it's not very smooth. Also, it doesn't appear to be a bookmark option which seems kind of silly to not have it. It gets annoying when you re-open the extension and the book has been put all the way to the beginning - especially when you've read more than 50% of the book! Also, some pages are cutting off the bottom, so I'm missing the last sentence or so on the pages.

Add Google Translate to the ePub Reader.

I've never used something so poorly made. Constantly teleports you back tons of pages, font randomly resizes, poor use of screen space, loading new pages if extremely slow, and then it just forgets settings at random and puts you back on the horribly broken "continuous scroll" This is literally all within the first 30 seconds of using it...

I appreciate the extension, but every time I change the tab or change any setting, it takes me back to the first page of the book, which is extremely irritating. Is there any setting am I missing or is it a bug?

Developer of this extension has copied many popular extensions and published as his own. Shame on you.

It is working perfect. It opened up a file that got an error message from a couple of the other apps I tried, so I'm happy with it so far. Has a night mode which is a must for me. Overall, seems perfect. Not sure what the guy who said it only takes up a small portion of the screen is talking about... It fills mine up, and allows you to change the size of the font which is useful.

سلام من برای مطالعه کتاب‌هایی که فرمت epub داشتند همیشه مشکل داشتم و باید نرم افزار مخصوص دانلود می‌کردم و بعدش نصب می‌کردم. ولی از زمانی که این افزونه رو نصب کردم دیگه راحت شدم و بدون دردسر کتاب‌های مورد علاقه‌‌ام رو مطالعه میکنم. نصب و استفاده از این افزونه رو به شمایی که کتاب‌خون هستی توصیه میکنم.

It works very well!

The user interface is simple and easy to use. Liked that. The display is good; things like the format and font size can all be controlled in the control menu which by the way is conveniently positioned. Would suggest that the page turning system be better designed. Using the arrows on my keyboard seemed to move the pages back to the homepage or rather randomly; I had to resort to using the arrows on the top left (the ones enclosing the book title). While the menu is fine as it is, it would render a better look to the app if it were designed to have the icons for different controls spread out rather than on a list like it is now. Would look good that way whether they were fixed in place or even if it were a hidden-menu-shows-up-when-you-hover kinda thing, would just depend on the positioning I guess. Overall, I like the app. Will definitely keep using it. Thank you.

The bottom portion of the pages were cut - - so there were lines, or even a paragraph, cut off. Frustrating.

Can't bookmark. You have to reload your book each time and then figure out which page you need to start reading. Time Killer. Calibre is too much but still better than this.

Excellent epub viewer. It does what it's suppose to do without any problems.

simple and it work fine. It need additional features such as bookmark, page or location....etc.

It is not very easy to scroll smoothly. When you scroll it jumps forward almost without much control.

guess it works fine

Gives me no less than 220 characters per line. Unreadable. No clear option to format the text in any. Switching in and out of full screen mode (F11) seems to reset the extension, you jump back to the title page. Scrolling behavior is very iffy. Obtrusive annoying symbol menu always visible. Avoid.

Works well for me, no problems. Good format. open your ebook from drive or your computer.

The size of the text can be increased to fill the whole page. It is very useful.

After uploading the file from your chromebook, the resulting text/book fills only a tiny part of the screen. This is not suited for a more dynamic reading.

It gives you a tiny window (maybe one-third of the browser) for the book and has the rest of the space for the extension name and a button to load the book that could easily have been in a compact area so that the actual book would have the space to be more readable. There also is suspiciously ratings done on the same day that are almost word for word the same rating. This extension could be a nice thing, but it is not ready for release . . .
