I am loving it! I use ChromeOS and there is no native app on it - I would need to use an Android app and I wanted to avoid it. This extension gives me access to my password db! Keep up the great work!
Hey, been great for nearly 2 years, then recently, past 2 months, it gives this error "First argument to DataView constructor must be an ArrayBuffer", now I can't use it, now to report the problem, i have to sign up for Github to report a problem, I'm not that techy, I've already remove and reinstall, same thing, can't use it anymore.
The KeepPass Chrome extension works great! Haven't had any issues so far. It is easy to use and feels secure.
Great Add on!
its not working for chromebook? i cant make a keyfile it said i need desktop keypass cx which i cant get
Alright
Super helpful, love this extension. Thanks Brandon!
Works great, love it :)
Works great, better than some other extensions I've used for KeePass. This would be FIVE stars. However, using a keyfile and no password doesn't function. I appreciate WebDAV access, and the way this handles most all websites - No keyfile is a deal breaker. :(
doesn't seem to work with pCloud even though I have it selected. Can't seem to find my password files or open them. too bad...
Works great from Google Drive. Wish you could create new entries using it.
I can use it in almost all my browsers, sadly not on my main browser Brave, when I try to give access to the database in Google Drive, the extension is not able to open the login screen. :( As soon as this is fixed I can give 5 stars for this amazing extension :)
Is this still supported?
I don't use cloud storage for anything. After downloading this extension this is what it says about using a local Keepass file stored on a device, "Upload files from your local or remote file-system. A one-time copy of the file(s) will be saved in your browser's local storage. If you update the database on your local system then you will have to re-import it in order to see the changes." I already have to keep Keepass up to date on my laptop and Android phone, not going to deal with having to update passwords in a 3rd place, this extension for Brave browser too. Uninstalled.
Can't sync to drive in Brave. After clicking selector to enable drive, option to give permissions is presented. after clicking give permission, the selector isn't selected, and a red [Object object] error is shown.
Great application, though I am struggling to open my database vault in dropbox. Tried on several OS' with chrome, and i keep getting the "Error: Authorization page could not be loaded" Using the shared link for now, but i wish the Dropbox Integration was fully working. Other than this, i love the program! Thanks!
No support for SFTP
Seems like a smooth application from first impressions, but doesn't unlock my keepass file. I use a standard kdbx keepass file with mostly keepassxc on other platforms, and would love to have a way to not type every password on a chromebook, but I added my key file and typed my password multiple times and verified I typed it correctly and it will not unlock.
Perfect !
Just installed and used this for 1st time. It actually seems perfect but I'm holding out on 5 star because need to get more experience. It seems to work by magic - finding all the .KDBX files stashed away on my cloud storage -- even though they are buried away in a folder -- how does it do that,. Unlike some others I appreciate this is 'Read-only' - managing new passwords and the concurrency issues are painful. I like the features designed to be sure the paramount privacy of user data - it would be great to see more detail on this. But so far, so good and big thanks @Brandon Davis and others who have contributed to this very valuable tool.
Saves your precious time
Well done!
Works great with the password vaults I manage with KeepassXC and KeePass2Android!
Requires logging into OneDrive every time the browser is restarted, and fails to autofill even a simple login form.
Moving from Lastpass, this extension works perfect for me. Using this in chrome on Linux and SyncPass on my IOS.
I deleted my previous review. This one is new..... Great app. Works really well with Chrome. I have a suggestion. It would be nice if there were a way to switch between databases. I have two database files - one for personal stuff, and one for work. I can't figure out how to switch between the two. Thanks!
Notes: When I didn't have my key file on cloud, it seemed to continue to search for it until I uninstalled/removed extension. In this extension, it seems like the only way to access you're info is to "search", which may be problematic when you because I don't remember the website, ect.
Working fine on Linux and Windows platform too with Chrome.
Great for retrieving key pass file passwords
Just switched from lastpass to keepass... and found this extension... awesome.....
Never shows any keepass files after adding various cloud storage services. Utterly useless.
I like it but it could be better. Sometimes the "auto-fill" function doesn't work. Also, could the clipboard clear timer be shorter than 1 minute? Maybe give options for 5, 10, 15, 20 and 30 seconds as well?
Google Drive is now working again!!! This is a life saver extension. You can't add new entries to the extension, so you'll have to install a native KeePass Client on your desktop to do so. But the combination of Tusk for rapid website access and KeePass running on your desktop to add & save new passwords works very well for me. I would like to see more documentation describing the security of this plugin, but in terms of usability it's fantastic!
Easy setup and Dropbox integration. Performs exactly as it's supposed to.
This plugin works super well and is very well designed. The only problem I have came across is on Chrome OS it does appear the hotkeys do not work, perhaps something to look into and fix, would greatly appreciate! Thank you
Please add support for Google Drive in the Brave Browser; currently you are using Google's "Browser Sign In" feature to access drive, which is broken in more privacy centric chromium browsers. You should just ask for email and password for Google.
Easy enough to set up, but I'd hoped it would autofill username/password when I went to a website in the keepass database. Instead I have to click on the icon and click again to fill. I want to use this for low security sites, so ease of use is key, and its just easier to let Chrome password remembering do it for me, as that does autofill.
Google Drive sync doesn't seem to work at all, nor to correctly display the error message (I get [object Object] instead). Using a simple URL doesn't work for me neither, getting the following message in the console: options.build.js:8 Uncaught ReferenceError: getParameterByName is not defined
Simply excellent, thank you Brandon! Where can we donate?
works
error : First argument to DataView constructor must be an ArrayBuffer I use it both at home and office. I always have that problem at my office computer. log in session is expired so I have to log in every time i use. it works without problem at my home computer. I don't know why
Often works like magic for accessing my Keepass2 password databases. Lately Chrome will not hold the permissions granted for accessing my databases from my gmail drive folder where they are stored. It's a real drag to have to set the options each time I want to use the password database to find an entry. Maybe this is caused by a change in Google the dev is unaware of.
Works like a charm and support field references in KeePass databases. I just installed it so I need to try it out more but by the looks of it, it's the old CKP on steroids ! Enjoy
Doesn't work with more and more sites: often will only fill username, or only fill password, etc. There's been a bug report open for a looong time but no one working on it. Leaving this review as I came on the store to find an alternative..
The extension is great indeed !! However, it should improve on below mentioned points: 1. It should be able to auto fill passwords on page loading without clicking on the extension. 2. It should auto detect any change in password while signing in and accordingly, it should update the database. 3. It should be able to generate new passwords. 4. Should be able to detect and save new passwords in new login
I have been trying for weeks to get this to work with Dropbox with no success. i can't get it to successfully connect to Dropbox but after that when I click the icon in the browser all that happens is that it asks me to set everything up again. So frustrating. i really wanted this to work.
Doesn't import all my accounts? Works better than the other options.
A worthy successor to CKP. Fixed all little nitpicks I had with the original. This extension is a must for everyone who uses keepass.
Works well, but is a bit slow to unlock the database, much slower compared to the KeePassXC program on my Windows 10 PC.
Thanks for keeping this extension rocking when it comes to use Keepass databases on Chrome \o/
Thanks for keeping CKP updated and looking great!
This works a charm. The autofill is very handy. The UI overall is great and intuitive. I think the next cool feature would be to allow remembering new passwords and edit the database. Something like keeweb integrated in. I could only get this to work with OneDrive when the database file was in the root folder. Also, I could not get this to work with a shared file link from OneDrive.
I have tried them all and Keepass Tusk by far works the best. Very well done, Easy to use..
It's work, but the big problem is that it do not update it's cache if the file disk has changed.
This is THE plugin to go for if you use KeePass and Chrome or FF. The dev is very responsive, the plugin itself is ultra high quality, intuitive and reliable. I can't imagine using Chrome or FF without this plugin (because all my passwords are randomly generated by Keepass and I don't know them!)
It works well, I had a question about things, and got a response back very quickly on github.
great free alternative to lastpass, glad Tusk is being maintained now that CKP is dead
Only thing missing is generating and saving passwords
A necessary tool to anyone using a decentralized password manager format like KeePass. There are some small differences & kinks to it, but otherwise was a very straightforward replacement for CKP. Brandon and other contributors on GitHub have done a great job maintaining the extension, responding to issues, making updates, and squashing bugs! :) Since there are a lot of feature requests for edit functionality here, wanted to mention that I use Tusk in conjunction with KeeWeb on the web and KeePass2Android on Android, which are both similarly open-source.
I like it. Is very useful Fully featured The feature I like most is that you can copy the pass in the clipboard and you can set the time to clean the clipboard PD: I generate the passwords with keepass2android uploading the keepass file to cloud and using that on computer with this extension that reads your keepass file.
Works very well! Setup is really easy too, if you have your keepass file in Dropbox/Google Drive.
Switching from CKP to Tusk was a breeze! The new interface looks great - glad you are carrying this forward - great job.
really like not being dependent on lastpass anymore. :) Love that it works with Nextcloud, makes it super easy to have synced passwords across computers. Looking forward to being able to edit and save newly created passwords.
I like it! I would love it if you could implement write features, even if they were quite rudimentary. I installed this app (and previously CKP) to use in my work where I'm not the admin, and it works really great to read passwords, but sometimes when you need to add a new account, it is an hassle, you need to add it on the phone or wait until I get home. I'm no expert, but it think there is already some implementation of read/write in javascript (for instance KeeWeb), you could take inspiration in their code..
1) Although I told Tusk to keep the database open until the browser exits, the app takes forever to unlock the database with every new tab. Very bad. 2) I signed up for an account on a new page and Tusk did not provide me a method to auto-save the new username/pwd combo to my keepass DB.
Works with chromebooks
Working fine with Keepass desktop client.
Easy, simple to use, and it even auto-fills most login forms. Top-notch software. A+ work!
I switched to Chromium because CKP was not available on Firefox. After discovering Tusk I immediately switched to it since is available for both and offers the same functionality. The only thing I miss now is support for Mega or Own/NextCloud (if techniocally possible) since unlike GoogleDrive or OneDrive, they are cross-platform and can be easily installed on Linux. Other than that, great job!
Pro: Cleaner interface than CKP / Seems to work w KDBX 4 / Dont seem to to need that plgx file hassle (Chrome iPass?) Con: Remember db password not working at all @ Version 63.0.3239.132 (Official Build) (32-bit) (Portable Apps) - when working would like to see forever option rather than just 24 hours max. Doesnt work at all so far for me on FF Portable
Found this after the old CKP stopped working. Easy to use and does exactly what it says it does. Would like to see OneDrive for Business supported but that is a very minor complaint.
This works on my Chromebook, using a KeePass database on Google Drive! I just followed the simple instructions. Fantastic!
I input a shared gdrive database link, but it doesn't recognize my master pass.
CKP with KDBX4 support, finally!
