Please do not download this extension. It says it does not collect user data, but it has google analytic code in the source. It also redirect google page search to yahoo. Shady as hell. I do not know how this extension passed google's review. The downloader itself is great but so shady and sketchy! If you want to use it, you should just download the source and remove ga.js and the google analytic file.
Technically it works, but... Search engine keeps popping up an extra tab disguised as Yahoo search results, usually caused by a browser hijacker virus.

It makes Yahoo my basic Search engine. And when reading back, the owner has bought a lot of fake reviews. All the 5 star reviews look sketchy and seem fake!
Hijacks clicks onto Google search results and redirects the browser to Yahoo!. Probably does other nefarious things as noted in other reviews. Still downloads videos, but not worth the risk.

It is more successful than most other video downloaders, but it does occasionally redirect my google searches to yahoo, for this reason I keep it disabled until I need it

Redirects google searches to Bing
It did what I needed it to do. Till I realised every google search I did, once I clicked on a result, it would direct to Bing. That was incredibly annoying and a scummy thing to do so I deleted it. Unless you use bing, not a good extension. Use an alternative, there's plenty on here.
Do not get! This is basically malware for a browser. It replaces URL with random URLs to spam websites.

Causes your google search results to a spamware search engine
Injects ads, takes over clicks, forwards traffic to who knows where. Dangerous extension! I will say that it does what it says it does, makes saving videos easy peasy like nothing else I've seen. Keep it disabled, only enable it for the brief moment that it takes to start the download. DO NOT ENTER ANY TEXT OF ANY KIND, ESPECIALLY PASSWORDS, WHILE THIS EXTENSION IS ACTIVE!!!!!
The only FB vid downloader I only found working. some people say that it has some adware, I haven't actually had any of these yet. so my advice to you (the one reading my review) is to install and only Enable it when you want to download the video you want, then disable it after you got what you want. hope that helps.
All idiots can put a malaware easy into your PC. They promise you can download from YT, but not working. But hey.. no worry. You get loads of ads injected into the browser.. Cool
This doesn't work. The downloads are like 1kb. Many people are saying it inserts ads into websites. Would not recommend.

Avoid. As others stated before, this is an intrusive extension which shouldn't be allowed to be in the chrome web store. Google, please keep out extensions like these.

Perfect extesions... but seems to be the cause of pop-ups (ads), and DNS errors on my home network (no internet). Indeed classical malware detection software gave nothing. However, disabling the extension makes things much better but some ads still pop-up. My problems however appeared before installation so Im guessing this plug-in enables malware to be effective, but doesn't necessarily have any. How about a clean version, "Nastja"? :)

Videos on tvp.pl come in a choice of 7 bitrates, still this extension consistently shows only the four lowest resolutions/bitrates/quality. !! Beware. This addon inserts ads in the bottom of your page - I noticed that on Google's Homepage, a pornographic Russian ad popped up from the bottom of the page like a toaster notification. I then inspected the page and saw two hidden ad IFRAMES coming from an .RU domain. I systematically deactivated each of my extensions until it went away and it was the "Save Video As" extension. Try it yourself!!
Very good video saver but: I'd prefer one that lets me choose a video by right clicking over it. Also when multiple videos are on a page, rows block each other's visibility so you have to guess which one you are trying to save. I think I use standard fonts on Chrome so I don't know why visibility is a problem
