This tool is a great find. It opens without me having to find it when I remember after the meeting starts. It identifies the speakers and does a decent job of understanding different accents. I would like an easier way to turn it off and on again in meetings, but I just started using it and this may be a training issue. I've already recommended to my Team.

I was loving this transcription product until suddenly at one meeting instead of just the 'words' being transcribed it was added in '@spaces/xxxxxxx/devices/x1x1x1x1'. How can this be rectified? I went through settings and could not see anything that I may have changed... (the x's indicates characters and 1's indicate digits).
I think the company has tried to incorporate too many features in what should be a simple application. First take, this was great and all the functions were cool with auto highlighting and flagging potentially important conversations but now as I am going back through the transcript (which is being used to create minute meeting notes for my organization) it appears the software regularly glitched and after one thing was said, maybe a minute later when on a different thought/subject, the software copied and re-recorded the same sentence that was already previously recorded. This is making the transcript unintelligible and adding a significant amount of time to decipher the transcript. I will be deleting this and going back to Meet Transcript, which was very simple and easy to use. UPDATE 4/20/22 - Trying to work on transcript and I am no longer able to access the transcripts. I fortunately copied them to google docs but that did not transfer screenshots. Google doc provides a link back to Tactiq for screenshots but the app is not able to pull those up anymore for whatever reason and so that information is lost. Do not recommend this app for large important meetings. It might work great for short meetings but I think Meet Transcript app is much simpler and easier to use.

We record 8-10 meetings a day with screen captures and highlights. This is way better than video recordings as you cut and paste the text into a client report. It has saved us huge time and information doesn't get missed. A great tool!

Great tool. The speech recognition is not perfect by any means, but it's already enough to give a good indication of the conversation that was had for those in the meeting, so as a project manager this makes a massive difference as I can better focus on the conversation rather than taking notes. While I'm hoping and expecting that the speech recognition improves (which is why only 4 stars), the fact that the speech recognition is not perfect almost protects the privacy of the people in the meeting in the way that someone who hasn't participated likely won't get a good understanding of what was said, and the imperfect text provides a level of deniability, so people can still speak freely.

Fantastic with Brave browser on a mac. Works flawlessly. I don't have to click anything. It auto-records and transcribes highlights questions (not perfect). It then emails and adds to a google drive. Very simple to setup and works in the background and serves it to you on a platter.
Can't live without Tactiq
What an amazing tool!!!! I love it and it saves so much time!
It's 3/1. I've saved one transcript, but I have 7 out of 10 left for the month. Why? Maybe because it saved double copies (along with duplicate "not saved" placeholders) of 2 meetings last month I where I had the checkbox for automatic saving marked for false. I guess those counted for this month. In general, the transcript count/quota tends to be unreliable and it doesn't help that they've made several slipstream adjustments to how many you get free. I've considered paying for the extension, but since they aren't keeping the business model stable and bug-free in free mode I'm too afraid I won't get what I pay for if I did.
I like using it. It used to be completely free but now will not save after 15 uses per month.
One of the best app I discovered this year. It makes my job so much easier. Although the transcription part is not always 100% accurate, it does the job. I just recommended it to my colleagues.
Love it, I do international sales 75% of the time and love how I can go back and send them a copy in there language, and had no complaints on any of the transcripts that is amazing.
update: this app keeps getting better. it's well thought out and the few times i've reported a bug or made a feature request they fixed the issue within hours or a few days. they clearly have a great team working on this. original review: this used to be great, but now suddenly it's asking me to "sign in with google", but i think it's just phishing because the "sign in with google" dialog isn't auto-filling and doesn't recognize that i'm already signed it. so i think they just made a copy of the official "sign in with google" webpage in order to trick you into giving them your password. it still works fine for most features, just not saving transcripts to google drive.
This tool saves conversations from Google Meetings and provides a transcript afterwards. You can take screenshots during the meeting, highlight important text and so on. You can the share these transcripts with others as well as save these to your Google Drive. Very easy to use. The developers are constantly working on improving the app and when you have difficulty you will receive help through the chat feature. When i had an issue with downloading a transcription, I used the chat feature and the developer worked diligently with me, even using a Google Meet to resolve the issue, Very friendly and sincere. The issue was fixed and all things work as intended. Great tool.
This is a fantastic product. I use it all the time to get the transcripts for meetings. Finding issues that were raised in a meeting couldn't be easier. And they are constantly adding new features. This is something that every business should have in place let alone individual users. I cannot recommend Tactiq enough.

Doesn't work
Tactiq is an absolute game-changer for Product Managers - I spend up to five hours a day in meetings and cannot stress enough how helpful it is to have a tool that transcribes everything happening there. All I need to do is to highlight the most important parts and share that with everyone. It also captures my accent pretty good so I'm very happy!

This transcription service works really well with Google Meet and the one time I did have an issue accessing my transcript, the Tactiq customer support helped me retrieve it in no time. Highly recommend.
Great tool to use
Tactiq was so awesome. Surprisingly, having a transcript during the call helped me have a better call, because I could recall where the conversation was going. Love it!
worked fine the first few meetings but the site where you view all the transcripts and where it sows all your unsaved transcripts doesnt even load, it continually shows an error "an unexpected error occured while loading, try again or if this continues contact support" its very annoying to have to wait for the my tactiq site to load for so long. going to try another transcription extension
Nice tool, easy to use, feel confident knowing your convos are backed up.
Although the transcribing is hectic, I absolutely love the fact you can download the transcript and work on it. Ideal for sending out to people not being able to attend or to recover something that was lost later on.

Super easy to install and use, and works transcribes automatically. My only issue is that the exported text to Google docs is different than the transcript on the website, its easier to just copy paste the text from the website.

This is perfect for my meetings, especially when several persons talk at once. I can then go through the transcription afterwards and add anything I may have missed to the Meeting Notes. Although not always accurate (that is understandable), it works for my needs.
For Gmeet, amazing experience... If you can extend to other online Meeting Platforms (Zoom eg) this will be absolutely brilliant... Reduces lot of time in making minutes of lengthy hour meetings...
A reasonably good extension for transcribing meetings. Very useful for automatically having a full record of your meeting notes, separated by speaker. It automatically saves it to your google drive which is helpful. But sometimes, it won't start capturing the transcriptions or will randomly drop off mid meeting, so you have to verify every time. The actual transcription depends on Google which is unfortunately not always reliable. It only gets it right about 70 - 80% of the time.
Simple, secure, and just works. Saves your Google Meet transcriptions to your My Drive, without sending them through a third party. Unobtrusive when you don't want to save transcriptions, just works when you do (a single click on the CC button and Tactiq does it's thing). Very responsive costumer service when you need it, a great add-on that saves a ton of time/split focus during meetings!
This is great. Surprisingly good at transcription, and because it is attached to Google Meet it all just works perfectly. The transcripts are properly paginated, with who spoke when. The files are in my google folder. This is my current go to tool for interview transcription.
