4 out of 5 because there is no way of making the Links/Tabs smaller - apart from using 10 of them in a line. They take up a lot of the screen. At least I can eliminate the Search Bar,

Best speed dial even better than Opera ( my rank 100/10) Initially i thought it would make the browser slow and hangy hangy, but the speed dial added speed, organised my bookmarks and now i cannot live without it . Superb !

Very useful, unlike some similar SPEED DIAL apps it's very simple and just does what I need it to do. I previously was using SESSION MANAGER but got tired of having to re-enter my settings options so often as it kept resetting itself for unknown reasons. Almost glad because it encouraged me to try this which just simplifies the process.

Error durin loading a preview. Can't fix or avoid.

Pros: My browser apps now works like my smartphone apps! Very helpful! Cons: The images don't always work and I'm stuck using a favicon and text instead of a large app icon. The tab switching isn't smooth.

This is a very good Google Chrome extension for navigating my most frequent websites. I must admit it isn't as good as the speed dial that is built-in to Vivaldi. But when I need to use Chrome, this is the closest equivalent I have been able to find.

The only issue I have is not being able to change the search box at the top of the screen. I don't want a russian search engine. All else is exactly as I like. I have NO issue with copy/pasting: I then get to put in EXACTLY what I want. That's a good thing. Update in 2021 - With a different OS I'm extremely happy with it. Update in 2022 - Still extremely happy.

The only reason I didn't give it five stars is the inability to put the groups in order. Past speeddials I've used has allowed me to rearrange the order of the tabs. Other than that so far so good. UPDATE: It crashed and I lost hundreds of links. I know there's a backup but adding every time you add something is just not top of mind. It's my fault for losing everything but it still sucks when it happens.

Of all the speed dials I've used on many browsers, this one is working out the best ??

I've been using Speed Dial for about 3 months now and have had zero problems with it. It's well thought out, does what it's supposed to do, and easy to back up, There may be a few features I could wish it had, but nothing that's important. The last extension like this I used had more features, but it kept screwing up and I'd lose my stored links. For now I'm happy with Speed Dial.

This is my favourite extension BUT I accidentally deleted it and when I re-installed it all my sites were gone. Is there ANY way to get the old sites back?

Great so far, just getting started.

Need an update to get 5 stars. Need to be able to customise Bookmark size and needs an option to stay on recently opened Tab. keeps diverting back to first Tab created which can be a headache for multiple Tab users. Other than that great.

Too bad the extension isn't working anymore. At some point it keeps crashing.

I like the app overall. I do wish that I had more freedom in the customization of my app icons.

Works well and can be customised into exactly what i wanted. (ppl complaining at the search engine choice should check the settings) The only criticism is that the search history for that search bar is always kept. (see other reviews) I can easily live with that if i get the other features i want. (if you change the background and download / add pictures to the tiles it can look really awesome and change the search engine to google or duckduckgo so it works like a dream) 5* (update after 5 years... exactly the same, no issues)

Super easy to install and use. Took minutes to set up. It's really streamlined my internet work instead of looking for routine work sites they are all there on the dashboard. The Google dash restricts the number and is less flexible. It would be great if the boxes showed how many times I had visited a site each day (which would re-set at midnight or whatever). So I could tell at a glance if I'd missed any important routine work each day.

Excellent speed dial! The ability to customize the background, fully control the background color of each dial, use custom dial images in .png format, and import/export settings makes this the best extension of its kind that I've found. There are so many awful speed dial extensions in the web store that should take note. Finally, someone who understands the importance of the customer experience in a new tab page. This one is a keeper. UPDATE: My speed dial images keep disappearing. It's the second time it's happened. I have to keep importing my saved settings to get them back. Very annoying. Changing my rating from 5 to 3.

I like it but... While my boyfriend can save the logo from the website to the bookmarks page, I do not have that option, so in order to have easily recognizable tiles, I have to save an image and add it. It's a pain in the butt. Not sure why this feature is working for him and not me.

Much more helpful than old chrome shortcuts. But I was not able to put jpg or png files as the logo of each site on the shortcuts and also it was a bit difficult to color them. I would like some improvements and they would be useful. To be able to change the dimensions of the tiles to fit more on the screen, for example instead of 5 X 5 rows to be 8 X 4 or 7 X 5, to be able to change the logo of the site to a larger one, to still display the shortcuts of its applications google (the dice icon that appeared on the top right of the screen). I had to make icons with google maps, gmail etc while I could have avoided it if there was a "dice". It might also be helpful to have ready-made shortcuts available for major sites like cnn, amazon, ebay, facebook, yahoo etc.

the extension made my life easier. the only problem is there is no cloud to save and import on other pc or mobile but you can make export file so it is something.

There are not enough folders in the folder, that is, folders on the main screen, so that you click on the widget, and it opens and there were more widgets in it, so minimalistic, fast and convenient I used a translator

Was looking for an extension to replace chrome's 'apps' tab (had a lot of bugs lately) Productivity-wise and the options you have of customization: 5 stars. Some thing that can be better - editing an existing bookmark with a loaded picture - such as changing the background color - requires to upload the picture again

Easy to use but powerful at the same time

Ive been using this app for several years now on the Brave browser. Fantastic. Tonight I tried to add a shortcut to a folder and it refuses to save. I tried a basic bookmark (google) and nothing. Turned off blocking, no help. I backed up my bookmarks and deleted a folder thinking i may have too many book marks. That didnt help. Edit. Restarted PC and the issue cleared up. ONLY issue i've EVER had and it was easily remedied.

Way better than FVD speed dial. Simple and intuitive interface, even if some portions are still in Russian. Only thing I'd like to see is to have a website open in one window, then drag and drop it into the speed dial window and add it as a speed dial.

Overall, very good! However, needs the following options: 1) Able to choose the size of the rectangles (they are very large) 2) Easily move the rectangles to different positions (click and move)

I just installed this speed dial app as a replacement for Speeddial2-New Tab. There were several features in that app that aren't present here but if a few enhancements added I'd be perfectly happy. So far it is stable and functions as I want. I will write a new review once I've used it for 3-4 months and had time to determine if there are any bugs. But thusfar? It's great and has a lot of potential.

Does Exactly What it Says on the 'Tin ! NO GHOST TABS OPENING ! Finally found this after years using a Ghost-Tab-Opening Speed-dial App, shame as it was a leading app, but then we also get to APPLAUD New designers like this whom have probably built it from the ground up WITHOUT Ghosting tabs opening up in the background slowing down ones internet & laptop ! Well Done, hats off to you Speed Dial Dev !!

was a good programe for the last year or so but for some reason all my bookmarks are all gone :-( 300 + i am starting from scratch to get as many as i can but now with no link to speed dial anywhere its gonna take days, hopefully they dont dissapear again

It's kind of annoying that if I want a website logo over the entire card I have to download it, make sure it's the correct size and then upload it to the speed dial card. The default cards like the ones for YouTube and Facebook and such already have their logo ready without me having to do anything, so it's obviously possible to make it so for all other websites, instead of just having tiny logos in the middle and a bunch of empty space around them. Otherwise it works fine.. like any other speed dial.

Far from perfect yet still the best one out there, out of the 10+ new tab/speed dial extensions I tried this is the only one which suits my needs. In case you want to know what the settings in Russian are, Google Translate says they mean: ["Add to bookmarks" context menu item - When changed, a browser restart is required], and [Show add bookmark and group button]
