Does it stop the youtube pauses? Yes. Does it now add in it's own random pauses? Yes. The sad part is that my videos now pause more than ever before because of the errors in this plugin. They pause right on loading the next video. I don't recommend this plugin. Off to find another way to get youtube to stop pausing my videos. For the Dev: Running a playlist on RANDOM with 400+ tracks on it. Your app works for about 30 mins to an hour. It will then pause a video (seems to be random which ones), at this point it seems to pause every or every other video in my playlist. Good luck trying to get this functioning properly!

Stop working

Loved using this for a long time but some update recently caused it to being auto-playing random videos after one is over even though auto play is turned off as well as shuffling my playlist... People say you can turn off auto-play / shuffle button in the settings but for me, going to the extension settings only allows me to change site permissions, no actual function options to the extension itself... If someone could step by step explain how to turn it off that'd be appreciated

Fails to fully provide the basic functionality of preventing the horrid auto-pause, and has severe issues overall. Most important thing is the fact that it doesn't really prevent Youtube from randomly pausing - at best it delays it from triggering, but once it does you have to manually resume the video yourself, and once it's happened once it'll keep happening again and again for every video unless you go to the tab and press play directly. Sure, the actual pop-up itself is gone, but not the real problem underneath! Beyond that, the 'auto-skip' feature is incredibly stupid, as it's from what I've seen a second autoplay button - and autoplay's already garbage because it relies on YT's completely awful recommendation algorithm. This inane "feature" is turned on by default, which has lead many to rate this extension poorly out of cluelessness - for once, deservedly so! The 'auto-click' shuffle and/or loop feature doesn't seem to work either - if you don't turn on shuffle and/or loop yourself in a playlist it does nothing, so you have to turn those on yourself, and at that point I fail to see if the feature does anything at all. It might change how the somewhat poor shuffle YT offers works, or might even make it worse, but I've found no discernible difference while listening to my playlists on shuffle. All in all, it needs to be updated ASAP, at the very least to fix the main problem - the broken/stupid secondary features are bloat IMO but I wouldn't care very much about them at all if the core feature worked!

The second i installed it, all the dormant youtube tabs played at once which is bloody hilarious. Not a complaint at all because it's what i expected to happen. But perhaps in the settings if possible you could implement a feature where it only affects one tab. Just as a QoL but we don't NEED it.

While it did stop YouTube from pausing whenever I changed tabs, it also made it so the videos didn't stop by themselves at all. It just went to the next video in the recommended list. There must be something better than this.

not a fan of the invasion of browser history guessing its used as a way to sell this info to ad pushers to generate some income from this app. I can at least understand that but definitely invasive and potentially harming

Default setting to randomise my playlists is the dumbest thing I've ever seen. Thankfully can be turned off

Imagine not knowing you can turn off the auto-play (not for playlist) and the shuffle/loop (for playlist). ?

I loved this extension for the fact that it removed the "Are you still there" popup. But the fact that it now makes Youtube play non-stop is very much an unwanted and non-optional feature, so I had to remove it. Such a pity! :-(

Hasn't worked at all. Still getting the click here to continue buttons if I happen to be on tab when it happens or the video is just paused at the start when it would have happened if I'm off-tab.

Works, but I cannot fathom what compelled you to turn on shuffle by default.. like, what?? Why on earth would you do that? I mean, that & loop don't even need to be features in the first place - they're already present on youtube by default. Seriously freakish move on your end...

It "works" at least to the extent that you no longer need to press to continue watching. However it ruins the youtube Mix, so when I choose a playlist I want to hear it as it is and not shuffled. So it tends to be more annoying than having to press OK to continue every now and then.

Worked Great Before But now It just Keeps Replaying the Same Video and does not go to the next video for some reason atleast in mix

Autoplay is locked on and shuffles playlists, got to disable the extension...defeats the purpose of the extension

Can confirm - this extension forces your playlist to Shuffle in Chrome. Toggling Shuffle on/off does nothing. Not being able to rely on a playlist to play through (without jumping around and replaying stuff that already played) is way more annoying than I thought it would be. This ext does what it advertises, but breaks a fairly elementary functionality on YT. Boo. :(

NONE and I mean none of the buttons are working not only that but the pop-up is starting to come back when I press loop in youtube because that loop button doesn't even work.. this kinda sucks

I love this extension, it's nearly perfect. Only issue is playlists are stuck on shuffle and never play in order when I have it on. Otherwise I don't realize the extension is doing anything which is exactly as it is meant to work! Thanks for this, just don't like the one bug.

auto skip work but if you play a playlist with shuffle on the shuffle no longer work and the shuffle button dont even work

its great! works as intended, although it has an automatically enabled the "auto-click loop/shuffle" option. it is great as an OPTION. no reason to why it is automatically enabled. gave me quite a headache trying to find out why the hell my playlists kept shuffling for a week.

So I got this to get rid of the annoying are you still watching pop up for listening to music. Turns out this extension breaks my keyboard's next and previous button, I have a logitech G810 mechanical keyboard. Without this plugin the previous and next buttons work just fine.

Really like this extension. However, after troubleshooting for a bit, I was extremely disappointed to find out ALL of the playback issues I've been having stem from this specific addon. Why in the world does this break the ability for playlists to play through normally? As in 1 > 2 > 3 > etc If this addon is disabled and I start up a playlist, it plays through top to bottom. If I hit shuffle, it shuffles around as intended. When this addon is enabled, playlists are ALWAYS on shuffle. Example: It'll be on the first song with shuffle off. At the end of the song, it'll skip to the 13th song in the list. If I go back to the first song, refresh the list, ensure shuffle is off, and let it play to the end of the song, it'll skip to the 20th song in the list. Why in the world is this broken? I really hope you fix this bug as this is one of the ONLY YouTube addons I actually rely on.

It didn't really do anything. I can't find the 'Prevent Inactivity Pausing' setting and just overall didn't work. When Youtube paused, it would wait like five seconds to a full three minute and then unpause it. I've never had to deal with auto pausing on Youtube before, it only just started doing this today and I've tried refreshing and closing tabs and basically everything! I just wanted to play a video in the background while I work but I guess I'll find something else.

major problem. this extension broke and since then I uninstalled it and made it so that my youtube was automatically going to the reccomended videos instead of whats in the playlist. need a fix

it worked fine at first but now after sometimes the video auto pauses but yes it doesn't ask are you there it just pauses automatically .

Works as intended, more options than the more popular extension that offers similar functionality. You can make it not automatically goto the next video.

I don't even know if it actually solved the problem because I was too distracted by the fact that it kept shuffling my music even when I double-clicked the shuffle button and made sure the message said "shuffle is off". I have my music in the order I want it, dang it. I'd rather have to go back and close the "are you still watching" thing every 4 songs or so than have to stop after every single song to relocate my place in the list.

Well, i use it for music.youtube.com because it hate when it stops for no reason, and... this addon is working fine ! But... when starting a new video on youtube, it always refresh the page after 1-2 seconds and restart the video... it's pretty annoying. So.. yeah.. need to choose between that or the music pausing on youtube music :/

Got it 1-21-2022. I already have an add blocker. This extension still works with "Adblock Plus". The extension works as planned. I don't have the popup on YouTube asking "Are you still watching". It also works when not on the YouTube tab playing the video. Edit (1/26/2022): The shuffle button is a bit broke (used it on a saved playlist for music 40 different videos). I decided to try the shuffle option and after a few songs (4 or 5) it just started switching between 2 songs. Overall not a big problem because I can quickly turn this off. When first reading reviews I expected this to happen. To turn on/off loop/shuffle on extension: To the top right of the page is what looks like a puzzle piece. Click it then click "AutoTube YouTube nonstop". Then turn on/off loop/shuffle I have loop on and shuffle off. Update 2/24/2022 YouTube updated. The "Video paused. Continue watching?" is back.

It stops Youtube from constantly pausing the videos alright, but then there's like a 20% chance for the page with the video you load up to be reloaded automatically ad infinitum, which is even a bigger bug.

It's worked decently up to this point. But since this last update, youtube will stop playing with what I am assuming is the "are you still watching?" thing, but there is no notification. The video just stops/pauses. I either have to refresh, or push play - which I should not be having to do at all if this extension works. Not sure what ya'll did with it for the update, but whatever you did, it's now not working the way it should. Please fix this.

It does its job, but I noticed today that it stopped autoplaying videos. I got a stupid notification asking me to continue watching the video. I don't know this is a bug or not, but I hope this will be sorted out.

Redirected my google searches to bing. Very maliciously too! It would load google.com's search page and then load bing's results into it. After changing my search my browser would be entirely switched over to bing. After disabling this app, everything is working fine. Making Bing a virus makes me hate it even more. Don't use this app, because if they are willing to do something like this, who knows what else they do?

I hate that it shuffles my playlist and there's no way to turn that off. If I want shuffle, I'll use the youtube one.

It worked fine for removing the pause thing, but it forces shuffle with no way to turn off the shuffle. I put my playlists in a particular order for a reason. I don't want them shuffled!

Straight up didn't work

It doesn't work, I leave it on at night for some ambient music and it will pause.

As of the last couple of days, this app no longer works. The "Video paused. Continue?" box seems to disappear, but the playlist stops playing, and I have to manually restart it. However, up until the last couple of days, the app worked great for months.

This extension does way too much with no option to stop some of it from doing it. For example, I just want to stop Youtube from pausing my music video playlists every 30 minutes. This extension takes it beyond that by bypassing user defined settings like auto-play, so it plays the next random completely unrelated video instead of stopping. Why it overrides our own settings is beyond me. It also shuffles the playlist instead of playing sequentially which again there's no reason for it as we can do that ourselves if we wanted to. There is no option to stop this extension from doing these things aside from disabling / removing the extension which is exactly what I did.

The add on seems to be working well, and even seems to make the site lag less overall when loading videos. I do have one grip, however. Since installing, my playlist seems to be stuck on shuffle. I can't seem to stop it from shuffling now.

If only it didn't have a forced play next video override. The default button for that is perfect already so why complicate it by having to open an extension menu to toggle it on and off

It works outside of playlists. It used to work within playlists, but now when it autoskips, it jumps to a random video and sometimes even outside of the playlist.

Doesn't work if the tab playing youtube isn't selected. The "continue watching?" popup still happens.

Please add the ability to completely disable the Auto-skip to next video function, without having to either instantly play the next video, or not at all. The way youtube did it with the 10 second wait is what i prefer.

It does one thing great: preventing the annoying "Are you there" message. Alas, it also seems to turn on autoplay. I basically want Autoplay off except when I play a playlist, which should then be played completely without that stupid warning.

The extention does not cancel out the "are you still watching" I'm disappointed. otherwise works as advertized

i like the idea and it really helps me get rid of the popup from yt to unpause... but the small play later list is bugged like h****, i create a list and after the first expected "un pause" i get a remove of the small play later and somethings different starts which annoys me so much

When playing a playlist, it does not go to the next song in the playlist. Instead, it goes to the next song in the recommended section. Is there a way we can fix this?

It works, i suppose. Only 1 problem. When a playlist ends, it just goes off on "auto-play" playing other random videos that AREN'T in the playlist. I would've liked if the playlist actually stops after the last video. Decent app though, i suppose.

It doesn't work at all. And it shuffles playlists even when shuffle is turned off. The "video paused. Are you still there" pop up still occurs after about 1 hour of continuous playback. Playlists where I want to watch the videos in order, are shuffled. Playlists where I want to watch in shuffle, tend to loop on a random video.

When I first downloaded this extension it worked perfectly, I completely forgot about the annoying pausing problem as I listened to my playlists. However, a few days later, I began to notice it stopped working. While it stopped the pausing issue, I now face a new problem. The videos are stuck in a loop, I only noticed after my brain registered that the same song kept repeating. Rebooting chrome or the computer seems to work for a bit, only for it to start looping the same video after a while. Refreshing and opening a new tab wont work. If this looping issue is fixed, I'll bring it up to 5 starts, but for now I'll leave this extension installed but off until its fixed.

As soon as I installed it YouTube refused to play any videos. I removed it immediately and YouTube worked again.

Just installed it, and I'm looking forward to being able to draw and stream without having to constantly worry about YT pausing my playlist, but the shuffle button doesn't appear in the app settings like it's supposed to. It has all the play and seek buttons, but no shuffle/repeat buttons, even though your patch notes state this has been fixed.

It definitely made using YouTube music a lot easier, though I did have one issue that slowly became more and more annoying. The shuffle button has a tendency to repeatedly play the same songs over and over, for a while assumed it was the placebo affect and that it was just doing this randomly, eventually got annoyed and turned it off, after the first song I clicked on it went backwards in the playlist and back to said song. Still a lot better than having to deal with the "Are you still there" function, but that really does kind of dampen the experience.

Hello can i know why my youtube still popup the "video paused, Continue watching" message even after i used this extension.

Been working great until very recently. Now I get a message "The default functionality for shuffle/loop buttons are overridden by AutoTube. For more info, check the settings." Now it doesn't follow the order of my playlist, but just jump around in my playlist (sort of shuffle) and I get some of the songs lots of times and others aren't played at all. But normally I don't want shuffle, so it's pretty annoying. And I can't find anything about this in my settings.

Wow amazing app omg! Changed my life!!!!! This app earned me $300,000 in only two weeks...I have no idea how. I also have a six pack now and my love life is incredible, not sure if that has anything to so with Autotube though. I've been reading a lot lately and have maintated a very healthy diet. I don't think autotube has done anything to help this. Thanks for listening to this review, love you.

Yeah... it worked for stopping the paused message coming up now and then, but it sucks that the "Auto Play" is going even though I have it turned off. I do NOT want it to play the next video listed on the page... I only wanted to avoid that message when it pauses and ask if you want to continue watching.

It's helpful in the fact that it works and does the job but it has made the playback really jerky and it is no longer smooth.

Works well, without one issue: the shuffle is lost once in a while. Probably has something to do with the way the modal is dismissed. Because it'll shuffle for a while, then will just start playing in order. I click shuffle and it's good for a while then stops again. I'll keep using it, less annoying than all of YouTube wondering if I'm paying attention.

This would be a lot better if it didn't completely ignore that i have the regular autoplay for the "up next" video turned off. it's rather annoying, it should only be blocking the 'are you still watching' pop up, not completely negating my up-next autoplay settings.

While the functionality is pretty nice, for some reason even though I have auto-play turned off this add-on makes it act like it's on and automatically plays the next video. It's rather annoying if I do say so myself.

this addon has bugs. it will automatically add a playlist to your library. super annoying. i think there is a bug with the selecting and clicking of the wrong button. second bug is "Auto-skip to next video" doesnt do anything. shouldnt it jump to the next video immediately? bad

I've having the shuffle and loop thing problem since last week. Thought it was my internet or so, but then I noticed it was this app/extension problem. As for that I'm now using another app. But please care to resolve. Version I'm using 1.6.5. Thank you.

Works great except for the loop and shuffle that stays on even when clicked. the option is not clickable to fix this issue.

Um, I've having the same problem with the shuffle and loop thing. I tried doing as you advised to another user, saying that they should try to toggle off the shuffle/loop feature by going to the extension menu. I tried that there's no option to turn it off so...what now?

Great Extension!! I have no problems, no Lag, no Pauses. With this you can now let YouTube run ALL NIGHT! :D

i love the ability to keep my videos playing when im not actively on the youtube site, but the extension has made it so my shuffle and loop features aren't able to be turned off. Please address the bug! Only thing keeping his extension from 5 stars

Worked great for a long time. But now seems to be the cause of messing with the shuffle and loop play feature with Youtube.

It still have issues, it sometimes work and sometimes doesnt. I think I need to restart whole chrome or reload the tab or something to make it work, otherwise it doesnt resume if not focused in the tab however as soon as I click into the tab it resumes playing. I am a developer myself and I have trouble describing the behavior honestly, I wasnt able to determine cause of the issues. But I believe you will be able to figure it out and polish it out! EDIT: after V1.5.7 Moe addressed the issue I was experiencing, since then it works like a charm 5* now, thank you.

Doesn't work. Videos still pause.

Worked well yesterday, today a message saying 'Queue Cleared' was constantly popping up in the lower left corner of my screen while YouTube was active on screen and I suddenly couldn't play any of my playlists anymore. The first video would load but then the Queue Cleared message would pop up and the playlist would disappear. I removed it and just now added it back to see if that fixed the problem. I'll update either way.

This did not work for me. The extension and all domains are enabled, and my video still asks if I'm still watching.
