Super helpful. I first thought that the option "Clear downloads every few seconds" would cancel an upload if it hasn't finished, but no, I was wrong. It only clear downloads when it's finished.

Did what it said, removed the download bar at the bottom of every chrome browser window after you downloaded something. I always found it really annoying to have to x out of the downloads bar whenever I downloaded something, so this is great.
My OCD makes me close this bar immediately when something is downloaded. I'm so glad this extension was offered!

This extension works like what its title says, and them some. An added bonus is the "disable download shelf" feature, so you don't have to constantly click it off.
Great extension. I just use it to permanently hide the downloads bar, which I find very annoying. Obviously, the downloads are in the downloads folder...

It does what it says it does, but I'd prefer it if there was a timer for after the downloads begin or end.
Really needed an extension to clear the download shelf at the bottom of the screen in Chromium-based web browsers. It takes up valuable screen space and having to close it after every download is terribly annoying. This extension allows you to do that (and then some, from what I hear). A+

I wanted to get rid of the download bar. It is gone now. I haven't tried the auto clearing feature. I doubt I will use it.

As of August 21th 2019, the "Remove download shelf" function is working.
So far so good! That annoying download bar at the bottom of my Chrome window is finally gone from my screen.
It works, but I have to keep resetting it every time I open Chrome.
As of 7/16/19 the disable downloads shelf option doesn't appear to have an effect. However, everything else about the extension is streamlined, user friendly, works, etc.
Since "Disable download shelf" is not working on the latest version of Chrome, i tried using the "Clear Downloads" feature, because if the download bar is empty, it disappears anyway. The problem is that then my last used download location gets cleared and everytime i want to download to the same non-default location i have to find the folder again. Would it be possible to clear the downloads but not clear the last download location?
it does what it says + hides the download bar but for a tiny bit of feedback, maybe add some temporary/very short indication/notification to the extension that lets the user know if a file is started downloading or not.
