used in the past and liked. somehow disappeared from my extension bar and I needed a bookmark checker so I went looking and saw that it was still already installed. I removed it and then re-added the extension, it loaded and then promptly disappeared from the extension bar and I can't get at it to use it. I'll have to find something else to do this task
Took 25 years to acquire 45k+ useless BM's. But this handy little add-on app really helped me weed out the useless ones. Well they're all useless really... It worked well, systematically checking the viability of each URL inside my Yyuuggee BM archived mess. When it came upon a cluster of Google URLs, Google promptly recognized me as a global threat and flipped the switch off, just refused to cooperate unless I completed a "Captcha" for each inquiry. So I waited for my IP to come off of the brown-list and started again. Now it doesn't load at all. Just says "Install our NEW APP". Don't need all that, but TY anyway.

Great bookmark checking utility, work as intended.
Unfortunately this extension let crash Vivaldi immediately when I start this extension.
great utility, exactly what I needed
Overall a good job by the dev. It does the basic job of scanning for timeouts/dead links and you can delete them in bulk. However, the interface is not very intuitive and doesn't seem to follow best practices when it comes to icons and actions. As someone else mentioned, you can scan for duplicates, but then you are forced to manually remove them one at a time. It would be nice to be able to delete empty folders as well, which I bet the dev could figure out :) I think with some UI improvements and tweaking the interactions, while adding some functionality like enabling bulk deleting of duplicates, this would be a 5-star extension (assuming no bugs show up). I added this, ran it, deleted dups, and uninstalled with no issues other than the above mentioned limitations.
Wouldn't even load. Kept saying 'out of memory' so I had Task Mgr running and tried to open it again. I was only using 28% memory when I clicked to open the extension. It still wouldn't load. Horrible!
This extension is very fast and very thorough. I think the only thing that I could wish for would be the ability to schedule bookmarks checking, and have the time-out remain where I set it.
Thank you so much for helping me cull through 20+years of collected bookmarks? Would be nice to see a dashboard of links processed broken down by a total/dead/time-out/good timer, or some sort of way to seeing just how many links have been processed. Sent a small donation, do the same if it helps you.

Great extension! Pros: - Works as described. - Works quickly. Cons: - Interface is kind of confusing. The click spots don't look like buttons or links so you don't know to click them at first. The are also very small so it makes you think they are just a legend or something for the results. I think some traditional labeled buttons would help a lot of people know more intuitively how to use this.

It's refreshing to see someone create a simple and directly to the point software .. in the middle of the jungle of utter nonsense and completely useless software you stumble upon this elegant Gem .. I wish there is more than 5 stars.

Work when not so many bookmarks. For more than (about) 20000 bookmarks, it just freezes, refreshing it sometimes displays a short screen then disapears.
Between my phone and laptop, I probably had about 300+ bookmarks and It was VERY quick to scan them all! I was very pleased with the speed, the clean UI, and how easy it is to use. It does what it's supposed to!

I have no idea how to start this thing. I installed it and it disappeared. There is no icon in the extension tool bar. No right mouse click menu, nothing, How do you use this extension? I have no idea.

Excellent extension. It gets the job done, but the extension missed some of my duplicates that "Bookmarks clean up" extension found.

This is a very simple yet awesome functionality. It helps me to check all bookmarks which I have had accumulated for the past 10/20 years in Chrome in one go, and noted all those which have become invalid with a red cross mark. I did a cross-check - those marked "invalid" are really not usable anymore. Using the dustbin icon, I can clear those invalid bookmarks at the same time. This is very convenient and easy to use. Thank you for this useful extension!

Suddenly stopped working altogether I am not sure why
Unable to use it becuae getting the error Error handling response: EvalError: Refused to evaluate a string as JavaScript because 'unsafe-eval' is not an allowed source of script in the following Content Security Policy directive: "script-src 'self' blob: filesystem:". A very simple and elegant solution to an age-old problem. No instruction manual needed. Highly intuitive interface. Push 1 button to read and validate all of your bookmarks, then press another button to remove the dead links and you're done. Great little extension.
