I have been using this art application for over 4 years and have enjoyed it for what it is. Sure, there were some save problems and some crashes but all I had to do was remember to save. However with the new version of Sumopaint, Sumopaint X, it has removed 3 of my favourite (and most basic) tools that you could use. The circle tool, the line tool, and finally the curve tool. I used solely these three tools for every piece I have made for 4 years and all of them are gone. Thank you Sumopaint, you have literally thrown away every single tool I ever used and rendered your program absolutely useless to me. I'll come back when you add those tools back. (Which is most likely never)

Sumopaint, oh wow buddy. It used to be cool, but now it can't even save my images without converting them into "Sumo files". I recommend using paint.js.org or gimp or ms paint. The pay part is also kinda dog shizzle. Hide your kids, hide your wife, hide yourself from this.

can't copy and paste images from the web directly into app ? wack.

The app is great honestly there are just a few things I don't really like about it, first of all when I want to change the size or opacity for the lines it just doesn't work, also when I was first using the pen or something, it would always go like and inch away from where I wanted to draw (I'm using a drawing tablet so I don't know if that has anything to do with it) and I think it's really dumb that you need "pro" to be able to use more layers and to pixelate things.

I really dislike the new update. I'm trying the free trial and now it wont let me cancel my subscription for this program. It takes me to a 404 error message when I click downgrade. Please hotfix this error immediately!!

was a long time user before the new update (2.0) The new 'upgrades' to the sumopaint tool make it practically unusable. They removed some of the best tools from the original online version. Also they added in a tonne of stuff no one asked for. Photo editor, DAW to create music, movie editor, code editor and even a 3D editor. Also if you ever encounter ANY problems with anything from this developer they DO NOT reply to any emails that you send them! Be warned & stay away.

HELP! I can not downgrade and cancel my monthly subscription! Ever since the update launch full time I dont like the layout anymore! When I go click to cancel subscription its loads a 404 page error message and doesnt do anything else! Please fix this problem immediately! I do not want to pay for this program any longer! Help!

This is amazing! Although people say you have to pay for everything, I didn't need to pay for any of the tools. It was very easy to use, with a large variety of fancy tools. Sumopaint helped me improve my art so quickly(I use a drawing tablet), it was amazing! I'd definitely recommend.

Not only do almost NONE of the tools actually work and instead they opt out for working as alternative color pickers, but it seems to crash a lot on my Samsung Chromebook 3. What a load. Oh, that's right. IMAGES DON'T save either!!! SO it's effectively a waste of time!!

I couldn't bring other images to add to the first one. It's annoying.

It doeant work for touch-screen computers only mouse! You also have to pay for the most stupidest things. Would not recomend this!

Hi! okay so i would recomend you guys let us to have at least 3 layers its really annoying when you have to get pro for everything.but over all it was nice to draw with. please do let us have 3 layers free and the circle tool CAUSE I CANT DRAW A CIRCLE

Why does the circle tool cost money? And also the other circle tool is gradient. No way to change it.

It was good. Now you have to have the PRO to do anything in this. TRASH DO NOT USE. if you are going to pay just get Photoshop!

This is a scam. I was doing an edit and EVERY TIME I would draw with ANY tool, it would not do ANYTHING. This app is a SCAM.

do i like it: yes this app is sorta like paint tool sai but some of the useful tools were pro only. overall this app gets a 3/5 i kinda recommend it over sketchpad if you want more useful tools

I bought the Pro version a few years ago, now that website is no longer online. I can't get any support to download a new copy on my new PC. The "free" version is horrible. You can't do anything with it and there is no way to contact support so I can get my version and I've emailed them many times. It's a shame because this was a fantastic program and even allowed you to store your creations online. Those are all gone now, without even notifying users that the site was going bye bye.

Neo-cheating. Lures you to downloan App, and subsequently limits it's features. This is a clear attempt to make you invest time and edit ceratin parts of a document, and coaxing the user to then buy the app because of the said investment of time. Many apps do this and it needs to end. Either decide if an app is 100% free, or 100% cost-based. I'm done. Uninstalling and will consider litigation against the creator.

Requires Flash so is effectively deprecated for Chrome users.

They let you make your project and then force you to go pro or lose all your progress. Disingenuous, especially for an app with such poor interface in the first place.

Okay I used this ALL THE TIME, then I logged onto it after a web update for it and literally all the basic essential tools you need are pro? It's highly upsetting and very disappointing, it glitched in and out of my art basis when I started my free trial, and when it took my money for a year subscription, it glitched at least 5/6 times in midst of drawing....

Okay, here I am, literally only adding this extension again to tell you to NOT use this program unless you're willing to pay a couple bucks. Tbh they shouldn't even advertise it as a free program anymore because over the years they've turned everything into pay to use. I used Sumopaint a ton a few years back, but I've now converted to other art programs because no offense, but Sumopaint sucks. They've made all the features I used to love completely pay to use now and I'm not willing to use money on the program since it's not even that good??? So yeah, don't use this unless you're willing to pay, and even then the program isn't even that good, so you're basically getting ripped off. Don't use this.

i used to go on the website a lot when i was into digital art, but once they started hiding otherwise free tools behind paywalls and money-grubbing "Pro" modes, i stopped using it. Case in point, if you're gonna waste your money on art stuff, buy an Image Scanner. It's what i did, all things considered.

it works probably as well as microsoft paint, unless you pay. if you want something to just draws 1 layer pictures for free its good. Otherwise its kinda pointless

I use this program to make my webcomic. I used to like it but now you have to have Pro literally EVERYTHING. It used to just be a few filters and really fancy tools but now you have to pay just to make a line or use a third layer which is just ridiculous. Another thing that happens is it will crash A LOT. Happens about 5 times per drawing. I don't know if this happened to anyone else, but they also turned off my Pro subscription early when I had paid for longer. If your looking for a really basic and annoying art program, then get this one. But if you make digital art often and like good tools, find something else.

Confusing tools and such, but like any paint software, you have to get used to it. Other than that, this is a great extension!

It worked so well. I enjoyed using it until my free trial ran out. This is obviously a money scam. The free trial doesn't even last that long. Clearly this is just a scam, hoping that you'll enjoy it so much you'll end up purchasing it, when there's clearly a better option that's free.

So I was expecting this to be awesome, and work really well! And it worked pretty well But I'm making a comic, so because you NEED pro, I couldn't even Make a straight line!!!! So it didn't work out for me

Terrible, literally have to pay for everything. I mean, paying for a line tool and to adjust the image's colour? Honestly this is quite unfair. I used to enjoy this extension and use it everyday until literally everything I used became pro :(

Used to love this app until they added the pro feature. They continue to excluded features that used to be free ,soon there wont be anything available to use. Even when I considered paying for pro , there is a time limit. very unhappy.

Hate it now. I've been a loyal user of it before they added the 'pro membership' where it blocks most of the tools to use that were useful to me while I was working on something. Will NOT be using this again.

i used this as a replacement for sai paint tool and i preferred it until now it made most of the features i used only available for pro! this was the only good art thing i found on chrome now its ruined, thanks alot

As a self taught artist who is used to this program for many of my works of art, i have to say that it was better than microsoft paint. however, taken away the save to computer and locked away behind a pay wall, is a really bad idea. this is not worth your money as i was considering to get your pro account however its not worth it i would rate this as a 0 if i could

I,remember when sumo paint was free and you didn't have to pay $2 a day just to use all the futures, yes $2 dollars a day...That's a bit of a rip off if you ask me. Oh, and lets not forget about the glitches, because i want to know if it only me that is experiencing these issues... when ever i try to save something lit a filter or an adjustment it freezes and i have to reload my whole page, this happens maybe once or twice and i thought it was just a coincidence or maybe just my internet, but then i would always do this and i would have to reload mt whole entire page, hard work gone :(. But anyway minus all of that it was an alright app.

Requires the flash player Um... yeah I'm not installing that browser murdering hellware just for a drawing app. Get with the times and ermbrace the Canvas and WebGL goodness.

I think it has some great potential and everything was running smoothly. But resizing images to edit and merge were not that user friendly. Hope this can be improved.

Very useful. Easy to learn. I used Paint Shop Pro for about 10+ years and it is very similar. Great program!!!

So, it's pretty okay, but when I drew, the pencil marks wouldn't stay, and it wouldn't fill in the art I wanted to fill it. I know a great FREE software from Chromebooks called "Sketch.io" you don't even have to download it!

It's is really good but make sure to save because every once in a while it crashes and when you refresh or anything it starts back to a blank artboard.

As far as I can tell, this extension just exists to promote the website. It does not appear to do anything.

Can't use it. Can delete it fine, but I can't get the painting open.

We used this in school and i think this is very useful although I'm not a talented drawerer, I think that is the reason it didn't work. I think this is very helpful app and although other people might not like it I liked it. Though it was kind of confuising @ first.

DO NOT DOWNLOAD!!!!!!!!!! I sent my art to my email (from website[Why a website! Too cheap to get a app] ugh) and ofcourse. I wasted 2 hours doing the art ( the art program is good [besides that its a website] but you cant save it!!!!) and i went to my email to get it printed and framed and it didnt send. waited longer. still not there. It was going to be my friends birthday present but nooo

If you want a good drawing program USE THIS! it takes a while to get used to but it's great! ignore the comments saying "Ohhhhhh I can't remove it!!!" don't let that scare you. Download it! it updated it's & you can remove it if you want to remove it right click & click remove from chrome :3
