Its great! Specially after the last update, the ability to be able to past thing of the clipboard with %clip% is sooo useful, beyond helpful with any work I have to do, keep up the good work!
Tidak support dengan teks panjang 5 paragraf
I think that there's an update. I tried multiple PC and the extensions don't work. This works fine last week.
This is a great tool to save time!
I've Installed this extension and it just will not work in Chrome. I've Uninstalled and Reinstalled it several times and it just will not work properly for me.
Love it!!! Works great for me. Saves a lot of time.
I just can't get it to work properly. I test the shortcuts in the box and one minute they work, next time they don't. I have created only 4 at the moment and only one (the very first one I entered) works. The other 3 are all in the database. I can see them but they don't work. I've saved and refreshed but no luck
back up option is missing.
Just installed this today and I think it will be a game changer. I work in an IT help desk call center. This is going to help speed up my ticketing and productivity.
Unbelievalby useful
This WAS a great program and WAS very helpful. Doesn't work anymore and types in double the text.
It's no working anymore
It no longer works? Worked pretty well for the last 5 months - a few times it quit working and I had to remove it and re-add it (which requires one to re-add all the shortcuts). Yesterday it quit working and removing/re-adding the Chrome extension no longer fixes the issue. :(
Very nice. It would be very good if the editing text box could display line breaks more clearly.
Just a little feedback: It would be flawless if we're able to hear a "click" noise when we use a snippet, like "textblaze". Otherwise, you're the best :)
So far so great!! I use it to short cut my email, phone number, and address and it's awesome.
It is not working. Everytime I try to enable it by pressing in the logo it redirects me to the extensions page.
Only one of mine works even thought I've set them up the same way
Sometimes, maybe good. Sometimes, maybe bad.
I have been using this extension for almost a year now, and it has been working awesome, but since a few days ago, every time I click on it to activate it, instead of doing so, it opens the tab where I have all my shortcuts. How can I fix this?
unable to use it from 2 days noww... it's not working at all , whenever clicking on that option its taking me to option page other than getting activated.
When I try to click the icon on top of the chrome, it send me to option page. The only time that worked was when I used it on the option page. I tried everything, but nothing worked. I also clicked "all site" mode, but still doesn't work.
It looks like the Dec 5th update has broken this extension. Whereas before clicking the icon top right in Chrome would activate the text expansion, now it just takes you to Options. The only way it will work now is by typing your shortcut text into the Options test box. I did notice a Chrome popup asking for permission for something to do with this extension, and allowed it. If there were a way to export & reimport my strings, or if it was a confirmed fix, I'd have a go at reinstalling this. My 5 star rating means 'Loved it' :-)
Such a great tool! Just missing export and import function! Copy and paste every single entry is not user friendly! Please add this function!
I would like to be find a text expander browser extension that builds on a previous entry, but unfortunately, with Free Auto Text Expander, if you have "ty" for "thank you," then you can't use "tyvm" for "thank you very much" as it expands out to "thank youvm."
It's working well but I can't use it to a different computer with the same key words. Is there any facility to sync with google account? So, that I can use it to another computer whenever I use my google account?
This was working great for so long. Now it doesn't work at all. No matter what I do, it won't work correctly. I guess I have to try and find a different program now.
Spaces are being replaced with "@" signs!
It doesnt even work! It works but when i click enter it goes as the beginning character if you know what i mean
Pros: It works well for simple text replacement. It doesn't seem to create any performance hit to install it. Cons: It has to be manually re-enabled for each site you want to use it on, every time you restart Chrome. 3/23/22 UPDATE: The latest update completely broke it. It seems to have corrupted my database (e.g., "@" was inserted at the beginning of all of my shortcuts). When it does fire now, it inserts the same text three times. 3/29/22 UPDATE: Uninstall/reinstall fixed it. I had to recreate all my shortcuts, though.
the extension stopped working today. it will not turn on even after uninstalling/ re installing
It works for most places that counts for me.
doesn't work... completely unresponsive
I love it, very helpful with daily work.
TOP
The text expander doesn't work consistently. Most of the time it doesn't work.
It good
I love this extension! Definitely made our chat life easy and very efficient!
not working at times
170 templates already! LOVE this extension! I have used it for several weeks and am still adding new text templates every day! "pub" for example expands to "User updated the browser but ... Tried the course in IE and it worked. Recommended to contact us again if it still does not launch in in the main browser after the update to further...." What a timesaver!
it does exactly what i wanted i have it setup to turn "th" into "Þ" because why not
I like how this works perfectly! I just hope we can save this so we can use our saved notes on other pc/device. It would save tons of time.
Would have been good with there was an option to import/export templates.
there should be a "find and replace" all option when we need to make any changes to the draft
I just need an option to always keep the extension working, instead of enabling it for each site/tab individually. EDIT 2: I've switched to use: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/magical-%E2%80%93-auto-text-expan/iibninhmiggehlcdolcilmhacighjamp
Excellent concept and works, generally, where you need it!
It does not work on Chromebooks It works on windows 7,8,10 and macbook When it works on Chromebook it is great to use for kebordding online
The icon on the bookmarks bar is BLACK, which means you can't see it when it downloads. Also, it NEVER works. I thought this extension would be the replacement to the other auto text expanders, but it ONLY works on the website where creation is being done. It doesn't work anywhere else. As a physician, I use text expansion constantly, but this is frustrating because it worked just fine before. Now its useless. Thanks.
it doesn't work
It's great when it works; just doesn't work most of the time. It will be going along fine until it doesn't. Never know from day to day when I will have to reload the whole thing and start over. It's happened about three to four times in one month.
sometimes dont works
Don't let the low ratings fool you – this extension is a really good one! It actually WORKS on every website where it has access, or the ability to GET access! And that, unfortunately, leads into the main problem this particular extension has… … it needs to manually be enabled on every single website, every single visit… If you're going to be on a website for a while – say, a text-based game, or an HTML5 chatroom – this isn't a huge deal. Turn it on, and off-and-away you go! But, if you're using it to browse MULTIPLE sites, or have to refresh a page or close the browser for any reason… it can get very annoying to have to re-enable it. I'm also a little sad that there's no pop-up or allow the add-on to NOT auto-replace something you've typed in. I, for one, got this purely to convert triple-dots and double-dashes into ellipses (…) and en-dashes (–). Well, on rare occasion, I actually DON'T want those converted. To get around that, I'd need to type dots or dashes separated by spaces. It's a minor inconvenience when compared to the main thing I mentioned, though… but I've been spoiled by using a TABLET with auto-spelling and text replacement, for the last several months, so… yeah. In any case… I think this is very useful as it actually WORKS on websites and doesn't require a login of any sort, but it would be MORE useful if you didn't need to keep turning it back on… (It also refuses to run on this very website due to "not needing access," so that's something else.)
Very helpful extension
You have to enable it manually on every web site you intend to use it on, and refreshing the page meant you had to manually re-enable it. I need it for work and this just makes it impossible to use. There are other auto text expanders that remain active on every website by default. Use one of those instead of this one.
How do we set up the extension so we do not have to activate it for every website?
Saved my behind when I just lost the other extension due to malware!
Great app. It would be great to have date functions (e.g. "ddmmyyyy" > "01/02/2013") and html support to have links with labels.
very helpful thanks so so so much
This stuff make me more efficient
It works for google docs and other typing sites which makes things so much easier for me! No fuss simple editor, very easy to use. It'd be great if we can also sort the shortcuts by name or date.
So far I like it and very useful to my work.
This is a nice snippet. Thanks!
