App does not work!

i'ts not working

It doesn't work for slides at all! It take me to another Talk & Comment Website. I was told I could use this for a presentation but that the end of the day its just wasted two hours of my time. I am very disappointed in its outcome. Had high hopes and got so little in return. If your curious this is the website it let me to: https://talkandcomment.com/

Not working

It worked great last year, but I am having trouble with it this semester. I use it as a college professor to give feedback to my students on their writing. About 50% of the time it is glitching and says something along the lines that an error is incurred and I am thinking it is server side issue? Not sure, but I have had to record my 4-7 minute paper reviews a few times and it is getting frustrating! -Chris

I downloaded the app. Repeatedly reviewed and effected the instruction nut to no avail; and, I have a Chrome compatible product, viz. laptop.

I find this not really useful at all. I have generated several URL's of my voice comment and shared them in many places in social media like FB, Gmail, etc. But later when I click them I am directed to another website with a voice message icon and when I click it, nothing is there. Thus, the URL expires after a few days and never can be retrieved. Hence, the facility is really not useful.

It's really great except the audio quality is kind of poor but that could be my own computer or microphone setup I'm not sure and the other downside is that it doesn't keep the message very long I think it only lasts for like a month or two so if they could make it so that your voice message lasted indefinitely that would make it infinitely better it would actually be awesome at that point and also if they can improve the audio quality and also if you could add a GIF of your face so that it looks like you're doing the actual talking while the voice is going that would be great

It is generally good and very useful however the start and end sounds are very loud and startling which can be pretty annoying

this thing always turns on by itself whenever i press turn off it still shows up and it gets annoying!

This is a great app that I will be using in my classrooms regularly

Great for teaching. Works well with Google Classroom. Can also be used effectively and easily by students with dyslexia on tests, etc.

The recorded link for talk and comment takes you to the website (talkandcomment.com) instead of playing the voice link. VERY FRUSTRATING!

too much technical problems and i can not use it

I am not good at ICT coding and programming language with complicated coding exercises taught by Engineers. So I resort to using layman's simple software that are readily made on just a click of a button like Screencastify. Screencastify is intergrated into voice over powerpoint, GIF decoder and other multimedia software so that I can easily turn still images into moving images. This why I love Screencastify against Camtasia and all those other complicated fancy engineering software. At the end of the day ordinary people are the consumers and not complicated engineers who are in the know but a minority group. I use simple software to produce easily consumable products such as educational videos etc from K-12 and beyond.

I like it. It has facilitated my work while evaluating my students. I also like how my voice sounds. I listened to the audios several times just to verify it was me who was speaking.

fantastic, never going to if possible, type another email or use voice control, which doesn't seem to pick up all your conversation correctly, regardless of how clearly you speak!.the only problem i had, was the yellow window which pops up, is situated near the bottom of the page, and i cant click the ok button without going into settings and max in" the page out!.

I see a lot of 2 and 3 star reviews, and I have fortunately not had any of these problems. This is such a great tool for educators. Voice quality has been perfectly appropriate for the scenarios educators have. It is also great that you can make the recording on any screen, and paste in the recording anywhere there is a text field. Many times an embedded player will replace the the link!!! Sometimes the floating button causes issues, but there is a toggle button built into the extension button in the toolbar to easily turn it off until you need it.

Love it!!! BUT my students are not getting my voice comments! I make voice notes in my Google Slides lessons and attach them as a comment in each slide. When I make a copy for each student to access, the voice notes do not appear on their copies! However, when I share my Google Slide with a staff member, they CAN hear my comments. I'm not sure why teachers would have access to these comments but students don't! I hope there is a quick fix for this!

It's a great tool but I want it fast

I give this app three stars, because everything was great until I played my voice recording. It's blur and unclear either using my laptop or my phone to record my voice. If this issue can be solved, I'll gladly give it five stars.

I LOVE the extension! AWESOME!. The issue is I can not have it running when I am not using it. Any time it is enabled, my Google Documents freeze up. If this was not an issue I would use it all the time. Turning it off in the Extension does not resolve this. I have to disable the app (in Chrome settings) and then refresh page to have Documents work again. Any chance this is an easy fix? Thanks for the awesome tool. Hopefully this bug can be worked out!

I like its functionality just fine. However, when the extension is active it makes every page load *extremely* slow and scrolling through long pages is accompanied by an appreciable lag of several seconds with each page. When I deactivate the extension the problem goes away, so it is the obvious culprit.

I think this is WONDERFUL! This allows me to give easily accessible audio feedback to my students. I even just included a "if you prefer to listen to this email" element in a big send-out I just did! Opens in a separate, but easily navigable window. No ad pop-up's. This is simply great. Hoping that they will continue to figure out ways to make the "play" button appear on mobile devices / social media... still just the big long link when I post on Facebook or other places.

Using it for the first time it was really slow. When trying to paste it wouldn't work with just control V. My friend was using it and although she had been recording for less than 2 minutes it said she had been recording for 29 days. She couldn't stop the recording. When she tried to reload the page it completely stopped and was a black square instead of the circle that starts the recording. When she tried to start nothing happened at all. It is a rubbish app I would never recommend it.

Voice quality is very poor and it does not work the way documentations says it will. I guess I stick with my phone, too bad, good idea but poor application.

I had to remove the extension, it made my Chrome browser unresponsive. I'm running Chrome browser v61 and Windows 10 x64.

great app How long are these voice notes stored on your server after we create them you know for instance if we create them and send them out how long are they good before they're not hosted no more on your server?

I cannot get it to work. I record myself then copy and paste the link but a voice box does not appear. Just the link.....

no support that followed up with me and after several weeks my audio was not there and in there overview and on their site, they mention nothing about duration in length of voice recordings.
