This is an excellent tool that allowed me to easily transfer content from a Google Doc to a Gmail draft. Its user-friendly interface and efficient conversion process make it a great option for me who frequently uses Google Docs and Gmail for work or personal communication.

Doest not work. Tried reboting, same. Starts to launch, but stalls at "Loading might take a few seconds" . Locks the tabe/window hs to be force closed. Chrome v96. Have reverted to Select all, Copy, in Docs, switching to Gmail, pasting into new messsage.

It used to work but in the past couple of weeks, it stopped working for me. Whenever I click on the "Open in GMail" button, I'm getting the error message "{"success":false,"error_text":"Temporary Error - please refresh your browser and retry"}." Refreshing and retrying doesn't help. If this extension doesn't do what it used to, I need another that performs the same function

I never could get it to work. Every time I clicked on the "Open in Gmail" button I got this: "{"success":false,"error_text":"Temporary Error - please refresh your browser and retry"}" When I wrote to them about it I got no response for weeks, then I resent and resent and resent my query. Finally after about four months I got a very friendly-sounding response, telling me that they no longer serviced that extension. I'm out of luck. They suggested loading a totally different extension that creates templates. Not what I wanted or could use, but at least it was a response. If you have not yet downloaded this extension, I would recommend against it. It no longer works, no longer is serviced and you may never get a response from CloudHQ telling you that.

Every time I click on the “open in Gmail” button, my browser freezes.

I tried to convert a doc with a few - 5 - pics in it, all formatting was lost, it was unuseable.

I was using this extension fairly regularly but then recently it stop working. It just ask me to create a Cloud.hq account. I click the button and it logs me into my account. I ask for rights and then nothing. To bad it was an awesome extension.

I downloaded and used this app but tonight when I tried to convert a google doc into a gmail ... it just kept sending me in a loop to create an HQ account -- cannot figure out what happened! HELP !!!

I'm looking for an easy way to email a nicely laid out google doc and it said formatting would be preserved. Wrong. It did pull up a draft in gmail, but it's text then image then text, looks really bad. *sigh* Never as easy as you hope it will be.

Doesn't maintain the formatting. I know you're going to say contact support - don't have time.

There are no formatting issues in Google Docs and being able to port docs into my email makes sure I don’t run into formatting issues sending an email. Couldn’t ask for more

Everything is one click with CloudHq. One click to take an entire google doc to my email and be able to send it out. Just lovely.

I am unable to get this product to work. I keep receiving the following error message: {"success":false,"error_text":"Temporary Error - please refresh your browser and retry"} I have refreshed and restarted my computer multiple times. Nothing seems to work. I've had success with a couple of their other products. I used the Contact Us feature on their website and have not heard back. I just sent an email to their support email. I will change my rating as soon as I can get this product to work for me. Thanks

Simple and easy, formats were preserved for me!

Drafted a few templates in GDrafts and have used them as "fill in" emails...this tool works perfectly with my workflow

Google Docs is a top tier word processor that i've gotten so used to that it's actually amazing I can port anything from Google Docs to my Gmail. Awesome product.

I love google docs because they're easy to format & I can collab with other people, so being able to type up something and port it to email from there has been amazing. Flyers, Lists, etc etc etc. I've done it all because of this extension

It would help if the cute little blue button that is added to you DOCs actually brings up a composed email draft to send. Awesome waste of time. Thanks guys.

Experiencing the same problem with several of the reviews here. My text didn't wrap as it should, and the font automatically changed to the standard fonts in Gmail.

Love the idea of this and hear it works for others pretty well, but it never keeps my text in the right font. Would love help troubleshooting, but cloud hq never responded to my inquiry.

I just now got this Add on with high hopes that finally I could have an email with an photo or two and the text wrapped beautifully around them. But alas, no such luck. The email opens up with the text below it, while the Google doc I used had the text wrapped. So what's that problem???? Help!

Not working for me at all. Not seeing the open in gmail button. Have closed and re-opened chrome but still nothing.

Just didn't keep any of the Google Dosc formatted document. Photos moved all over the place!

Awesome, it created from the docs but it automatically got into drafts and not an open composed email. Also it did not have the signature.

Works great. Create a doc with pictures and verse, check spelling and grammar, and send it as a email.

Yet another reason to switch from Word to Google Docs. Draft long emails with formatting and it goes right to Gmail intact. Easy-peasy

Best and simplest to use free extension. I spent countless time creating a draft in docs and cutting and pasting into a email and the formatting always a mess. Not anymore - Google Docs for Gmail drafts without the messy copy-paste. Keeps my formatting and layout as I made them. Time saver!

I use this extension all the time. It is a great way to format a fancier email (if you will) and then easily share it out via an email. Very useful is that the original document still exists as is. Great as a PR function. What we send out from our school is branded, looks clean and is consistent with minimal effort. Great merge of google docs and google mail.

Fabulous extension! Easy to use to send out information to my CSA Farm Share members that looks appealing.

I now use this for all of our regular email posts. I find you can get a clean layout especially when writing within invisible tables so no matter what size screen the other person is on, my alignment stays the same.

I haven't found an extension from this maker that hasn't been very useful to my job as a teacher.

Works wonderful! I love using it for things I send on a regular basis. The only thing I have some issues with is tab formatting, but that might be a symptom of using an older template made in Word's older days transitioned into gmail out of gmail and into google docs.

It is not stable and will not convert with the same format

I have been using this for a while. It transcribes to a different font in Gmail, it mixes up sentences, and once in gmail draft the text is of different sizes, which cannot be formatted or changed in Gmail. It may be my fault, but this extension doesn't work for me. I now just PDF docs as an attachment in Gmail, which works fine.

I just installed it, and already, I can see it will be super easy to use. I can't wait to write my first fancy email tomorrow! I am excited. I will return to give you updates. I will tell all my friends about it. That's for sure!

I only need to convert about 10 documents every 6 months and this is very convenient.

Works really well, Fast and mostly no issues. Completely awesome useful extensions and I don't think there is anything better. I really think you should get it.

I found that this chrome extension helps making emails a breeze and it is very useful when you need to do a lot of styled emails. Beats having to copy paste or compose in HTML. Best of all, it’s free :)

It works immediately - now I can make a gently formatted newsletter and send it out to my staff with one click. SO much easier than all the template apps out there.

I found bunch of Google templates here: https://docs.google.com/templates?q=newsletter I tried these templates in GDocs and they create excellent Gmail emails.

Doesn't work. All I got was a page full of code. Update: After looking at the code, I saw in it a lengthy URL for Cloud HQ. I went there and with some guesswork was able to sync my gmail with my Google Drive and now this extension works.
