Major hassle trying to complete the phone section. Really annoyed about having to submit bank card details. Keep ending back at the payment section. Total waste of time.

This is a complete rubbish of a site to do exams, im gonna have an upcoming exam soon and bought myself a brand new webcam and for some reason, its not able to access my camera when doing the system check. Pure garbage and the support does not know how to solve any issues whatsoever

If there was Zero rating, I would enter for this Proctor Exam - Chrome extension. I noticed that there are few reviews, yet so many users. The users have no choice as school or company that they are applying for would be using this product for its exams. The company behind this app should consider the negative reviews to build a better product; and should also incorporate the ideas in the positive reviews. It looks like users are smarter than those who developed this product.

I need to install the app so that I can take professional exam. But got stuck, and it is stuck at the microphone testing level. It bothers me - because I have just my computer for a meeting before I start install this app. And I have been connecting with Zoom and Teams with no problems 9imagine 8 hours continuous presentation. This is a worst situation as the exam organizer is using this app. I have not come across such difficult install app.

absolute rubbish. i prepared as required - following all the instructions. it appeared to work on the day of download. On the day of the exam however - all i got was a white screen. i had to lower all my security and in the end actually remove my antivirus software and still got nowhere. The person on the helpdesk suggested i clear all my cache - done, then reboot -done, then decided it must be my internet speed - exceeded the requirements! in the end they told me to go back to the exam people! So on the day of my exam, i am unable to complete it, and ended up a gibbering wreck. I have now quit the course, after 9 months of study, because no qualification is worth the stress.

Honestly worst software plugin ever. Spent hours trying to set it up, with absolutely incompetent chatbot/call center assistants. The problem was not in my device but in their backend, but instead of trying to help me they sent me one stupid screenshare document after the next. Don't use this for your exams, don't penalize your students with this service. No wonder it has two stars, every good review is fake. WORST SOFTWARE EVER!

If anybody is getting: "This item has been disabled in Chrome." But if you click enable, Chrome automatically disables the extension again immediately. Try the following 2 options: 1. Update the chrome to latest version 2. Under manage extensions -> check if there's any other proctor background something extension enabled automatically. - Disable this unknown extension, then you'll be able to enable the intended one.

Garbage, almost impossible to set up. thank god for the live chat. Very annoying and extremely invasive of privacy requiring microphone camera and a literal screenshare. cant wait to take my exam then delete this forever. They even asked me to turn off my antivirus to use the software. smh

The mobile app connected with it disconnected 3 times costing me the 5 marks marks I only needed to pass.

VERY BAD BEHAVIOUR OF PROCTOR IN CUCET EXAM

Spyware.

Teachers beware: I have used this software on 2 different machines with very different components and in both cases the use of fan power and CPU usage is extremely high. The usage of fans and the heat generated as a result of this leads me to conclude that this extension CAN damage machines and therefore should be avoided. Note: I have a Ryzen 9 3950x and 32 GB of RAM, whereas the other was a laptop of much lower performance (the fan usage was extreme in both cases).

Spent three days trying to get it to work... plus I have an exam in two days and have spent two more of my study days with the exam board technical team trying to fix the issues (and no-one seems to know what the issue actually is, including two plus hours spent consulting 'tawk-to' the so called online technical support staff of said app!) Appalling. TimeWasting. Inefficient App! AND that's not even adding on my pre-existent and growing concerns about it's security and/or spying capabilities!

I thought this app was just gonna be a way for school to make sure I wasn't cheating. But then it went sideways. I was laying in bed when suddenly my computer dinged. It was proctorio. Watching. Waiting. It said I had moved and told me to scan the room. Then there was no room to scan. Life and existence itself came to a halt. This app deleted me, and I am writing this from the nether realms.0/10 would not recommend. It will cause you to stop existing.

This extension is garbage. It's suspicious how their ratings/reviews page changed from tons of 1-stars to one worded 5-star reviews. Using Proctorio has been nothing short of a nightmare. Sorry to all my fellow students who've had to suffer through their semesters using this spyware.

I tend to agree with the comment regarding permissions and spyware. This is equivalent to VNC or some other screen share software. I am not able to find anything on Proctor website of this HTML 5 extension for Chrome? I am unable to get a response from support related to this extension. There is no source code. The last update was 2018. On the website it lists iPhone and Android applications only. There is no option on these Chrome applications to validate the extensions without the source code or ability to contact the developer. For an extension stated to have over 100K users why is the # of reviews so low? Why are they so old and then you see multiple done on the same day with 5 stars after a 1 star review? The developers do not respond to any of the reviews or concerns. We had a few end-users wanting this added to the whitelist on Chrome Enterprise too which I've denied based on the above findings - and this is the abridged version. Anyone can upload an extension to Chrome store and put a website. With all the changes to Chrome browser since 2018 why has this extension not been updated? Why does it require so many permissions? You can verify the Android extension and iPhone from their website. There is no link or mention of this extension directly on the website https://proctorexam.com/test-taker-support/. There is no way to validate this extension is valid and by installing it you are making it possible to allow a remote screen share. There are better options. The website suggest to contact support and use a chat session or the iPhone or Android applications. Minimum there should be a direct link from the vendor website to the Chrome Store application and yet there isn't? Only links to iPhone and Android application. There is simply no way to validate this extension or the development team.
