Does the job perfectly and has been now for years.
Practical but has some issues. 1st, when you click its icon it should have its own menu with an On/Off switch since some people just don't need it on all the time. 2nd, for some reason it clears all downloads from the downloads page! This should be optional with another On/Off switch. 3rd, I would suggest that it also includes an optional "Download Complete" PopUp at the bottom of the Chrome window.
Crashed Chrome when downloading using downloaders such as flash video downloader or Video Downloader pro. Needs more testing.
works fine ... It really clears the download list right after completion of the download , and also closes the download bar right away ... The only bad think is that sometimes the extension gets corrupted for no reason and stops working...Then a repair was required.
Simple and effective - highly recommended. Suggestion: could use an Options page to be able to select which of the 2 functions to perform (e.g. one might like to hide the download bar after completing the downloads but without clearing them, or viceversa). EDIT: This extension might conflict other extensions that need to process the download history before it's erased. The developer should consider changing the extension's conditional from 'if ( e.state )' to 'if (( e.state ) || (e.state.current ==== "complete"))' or add a setTimeout() somewhere, to delay a little bit erasing the download history, at least till other extensions that need info from there can get the data they need...
Great extension, small, elegant, only a few lines of code, and does what it says 100%.
I really liked it, and it did exactly what it says on the tin, but Avast warned me that it had low security rating and that I should remove it. Sorry, I worry more about my online security than having the downloads bar disappear quickly.
Why is this not a default setting in Chrome?!
^ what he said...
Just PERFECT!
