I think this app works really well.. EXCEPT, i've left my computer on unused for a while, sometimes up to a whole week. Whenever I've left it for more than a day or so it starts to gobble up CPU usage, and it progresses untill it is using every unused % of CPU usage available, using process explorer I tracked it down to this plugin, I go into Chrome task manager and kill the plugin and within seconds my CPU goes from 100% -> 10-15%. Im not sure what it's doing as it is NOT downloading and no new pages have been opened to review. It could be a programming error or it could be something more sinister I am not sure. I don't have anything on this PC to hide so Im not worried personally so I'll probably keep using it unless I find out something bad, but it is more frustrating than an issue for me. Other may have more suspision.

Easily control AntDM from the browser. I like being able to turn off AntDM when a website is having issues with it. Just as easy, I can turn it back on to help with download going forward.

I was using IDM for about 10 or more years and all of a sudden something started messing with it in Chrome and getting support was challenging. Anything other than IDM was going to feel alien no matter how good it was. But I picked Ant it had good reviews and man, I love it. The interface is cool and it WORKS!! Sooo fast. The only criticism is qbittorrent still rules the torrent world for me. Ant found many magnet links challenging if not impossible. But I made my decision and went pro. IDM had a lifetime license for around the same price as a yearly subscription for ANT. I don't think you should do this, but it's your gig. I like it.

I love using this product. It is very easy and fast to download video. Very simple to use once you get it set up.Would recommend it.

I have used IDM and Ant, I absolutely prefer ant, better interface, most download managers require and extension for the browser by the way to Function, IDM does as well

It supports a lot of sites, more than other download managers I have tried, and finds video streams everywhere I go. Very useful extension.

Help ... it cannot detect the Ant download manager running on PC..

This is absolutely the best and the most effective download manager has been ever written. I tried more than a dozen popular software so I know what I am saying. Please understand that just like anything else the extension is not as powerful as the registered app but the extension works individually without any direct need to the main app. As for the main software, there is a free one month trail but you are giving up your entire PC system to one of the best Chinese tech companies in case of any possible hijack or spyware, so make sure this is what you really need.

Best Video Downloader

Had one issue since downloading, received an answer within 24 Hours, problem solved, it took all of 5 mins to work out what was going on on the front page. Within 30 minutes of original dowmnIoad I had tweaked it to my liking and there were quite a few options, 2 minutes after that it ran like dream - never had an issue since. I strongly reccomend this downloader.

excellent download manager extension. I used this and IDM, both are great and work well. I've used the older version and the newest one and have not had any problems with either. I've seen some reviews about slow speeds, sbut I have not experienced that with any version of ANT. Recommended!

For my needs, I think Ant Downloader extension is great! The extension does need the program/app software to work as a downloader. Already had software on my laptop & desktop from a free giveaway site. All the setup & configuring is done there. Removed the other types of files it can download in the app, I have it now setup to download only videos. It sees about 99% of videos site's & domain's I visit. That makes me a happy camper!

This does NOT function like the old Ant downloader, for those familiar with and wanting the same ease of use. It's a 2 part deal, a browser extension and app that likes to remain in your system tray. Speed and # of downloads limits cripple it from doing anything worthwhile. Don't bother. And if I'm not 'doing it right', I wouldn't be surprised. The front end is a confusing disaster. It's like trying to solve a puzzle. Good luck.

i like this better from internet download manager ant downloader is litter better gives you options download videos to audio files, download subtitles on some youtube videos that have it how did i not know about this program sooner and first is dissapointing ant downloader shoukd be more popular than internet downloader it gives more options to download files files and videos

Downloads everything you want from everywhere + video to mp3, easy to integrate with any browser. I just stopped to testing other download managers.

Sometimes you need to try three or four different downloaders, before you get one that works, on any particular site. But once Ant gets going, it's usually very fast - 1h 30min 1977 movie in YouTube, downloaded in 3 mins! IDM has been known to do 22 MB/s at one fibre internet cafe.
