Used to used iMacros for Firefox years ago. It was a good extension. The current version for Chrome doesn't work well at all. 0/5

Product is being discontinued and you have no way to buy a license.

Documentation is hard to read & lacking clear examples (how do I do a simple If statement or For loop??), but once you have a good script it is an extremely useful/powerful tool.

This used to be a free application. now it is a paid app, and not to mention extremely over priced for what little use it serves. Will be uninstalling and never using this product again. greedy corporations will turn everything free into somthing theyll make you pay out the a55 for.

Not Working

DO NOT PURCHASE THIS! Can Chrome please consider removing this extension from the store. I purchased it for $99 to get full functionality. However I tried for 2 hours to activate the license but it seems impossible. There is no activation link in the program, the docking interface does not look like their help website, right clicking the extension button in the browser does not show "activate now" as their website shows. It is impossible to locate the supposed installer on my drive. The help is non existent. Even requesting a refund redirects you to another company where they don't even list iMacros as one of the software to refund.

Free edition is very limited, worked with me only once without ability to repeat actions (which is the point of having the extension), paid version is very expensive and not effective according to other reviews. I have to replace it.

Normally don't leave reviews but it's ridiculous that I can't just have a simple three click macro that doesn't involve reloading the web page and adding 4 more actions. I may just reinstall bluestacks and use their macro recorder since it's actually useful.

Dont buy license key for this imacros. After i buy license, file access still not be unlock.

VERY USEFUL. ITS VERY FAST AND ACCURATE

No option to rename iim file directly in extension. And there's bug, when I right click on iim file in imacros extension then It goes drop-up the list of imacros file and then some files goes hidden. Very Disappointed! Please fix it ASAP. Please fix for All browsers.

This extension was great 10 years ago. It's not just that they change THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS for Pro... But now many other FREE extensions have surpassed it in features and everything else. My favorite now is UI.Vision, but there are a few to choose from.

Exactly what I need for auto click. It works well.

Absolute asinine to make a user pay 100 bucks a month to use more than 50 lines of code. In this day and age marketing tactics like this just show an executive team that is out of touch with the benefits or open source software. What a joke, a rip off, and a complete waste of my time. Would not recommend to anyone for any reason under any circumstances what so ever!

Installed it, clicked record macro, the only thing it recorded was going to a url, didn't pickup clicking form elements or any typing, going to assume this falls under the previous reviews of "This extension is useless since they made I/O a paid subscription service.".

Simply doesn't work in any way. Watched the tutorial and in the tutorial as you use Amazon the step by step commands appear in the macro window. When you do the exact same actions yourself no commands appear in the macro window. Tried different sites etc and the macro just opens the website, No mouse clicks or keyboard typing is recorded as a macro command. You see a iMacro icon next to your cursor as you type but nothing happens in the actual macro list of commands. So when you finish your final macro is just an open the website command. Which is useless.

This extension used to work beautifully and was very easy to learn within a few minutes, I used to to automate some tedious tasks in my browser. BUT IT NO LONGER WORKS. The Chrome extension fails to record, the Firefox extension fails to play. I checked to make sure my browsers were updated and I had the latest versions of the extensions, they are. I've spent now a couple hours dealing with trying to get this extension to work on my holiday weekend. I'm over it, going to look for something else to use. I wouldn't even mind paying the fee for the better versions but if I can't even get the free version to work, then I'm moving on.

I was a fan of iMacros ten years ago. But it now really makes me sick. Why you have to do things like that? You lose more than the tiny money you can earn. This extension is useless since they made I/O a paid subscription service.

I like the extension, it does the job except when it doesn't: every now and then it just fails to find an element which is on the page (verified with inspect element). The code I'm using is as follows: SET !TIMEOUT_STEP 60 TAG POS=1 TYPE=A ATTR=CLASS:some-class-name

I managed to create a working macro that opens google, & does a search. When I tried to a open another tab it flopped. I'm pretty sure imacros could do that in the past. Either way it hasn't done anything I couldn't do without it, & if it couldn't open a tab & load a site I don't have a lot of confidence it could do anything more complicated than that. I haven't tried UI.Vision RPA (formerly kantu) yet as somebody else mentioned, but having used this years ago with firefox I'm not impressed now trying to use it again on a chromebook. Maybe it's a result of them making a lot of features paid? I wouldn't pay for this. I used imacros BECAUSE it was free.

This extension is USELESS. There is a limit of 50 lines per macro. This is not enough to automate any meaningful process. It is a useless free trial that should not even be in the chrome web store. There is no mention of these limitations in the extension description, VERY deceiving.

Its works well for me, aperantly if you go above 50 actions it wont work but I use it to get free donuts from dunkin. Its easy to use and easy to understand. Watch the tutorials to better understand them. any questions my email is [email protected]. I have a laptop and am not in anyway connected to the developers or the app in any way.

Doesn't work anymore, requires an update from devs. When recording, it won't pick up all actions such as clicking elements on a webpage.

One problem was found. When we create a new tab, the bookmark "#Example.iim" do not open. We always need to open a page first?

Fantastic chrome addon ! I needed a way to automatically click on set buttons on a webpage and then close the webpage tab so that I could repeat the process. Initially I found the macro a bit frustrating because it didn't close the tab, but once I had discovered a couple of tweaks I needed to add to the macro I now have it working beaut. I am so happy to only need one click to repeat processes on each page. Thanks so much for this addon.

Along with file access restrictions, all my hard-work recorded macros have vanished. Not cool.

An emergency fix is required for users using the Personal Edition 10.0.5 The new chrome update Version 72.0.3626.81 (Official Build) (64-bit) has disabled the file access module and there is no way to upload files resulting in Error: {"code":-32000,"message":"Not allowed"}, Please provide an emergency fix for this situation.

Be careful, there is no way to unlock the limitations of the Chrome/FF extension (50 actions) even when paying! You will need to download the complete heavy application: in any case the Chrome/FF extension will remain limited!! It's not written anywhere, but here you are warned. Many people complain about this in their forum!

Want imacros working? 1. delete this app. Delete chrome (optional:) 2. install Firefox 52 to 59 version. 3. install old version of iMacros (any before "multi" version) 4. disable autoupdate for imacros and ff.

The plugin doesn't work and the main app still uses ancient Internet Explorer 11. Ipswitch's iMacros is stuck in the stone age.

I have used both the Firefox and Chrome free versions. The Firefox version is hands down the best one. It allow tons of features/code that the Chrome version doesn't support which is very disappointing since in prefer using Chrome over Firefox. I think that the IE version might even be better than this Chrome one but I am unsure about that since I only use the IE one for the free extract wizard.

this addon made me lose about 50 of my open tabs when it suddenly opened like 2 new pages, one of them being a pop-up. Of course I didn't immediately looked at the window to see which one the pop-up was and so I closed the main window.

It was working all fine. Used to for some time. But suddenly it stopped opening. Don't know what happened.

Unfortunately this macro software didn't detect Javascript click events, thus making it useless for interface testing.

i can save a record

Using the Free version was a trivial inconvenience (save as bookmark instead of save as file) and didn't require me to download a different version of the extension. With about 30 minutes of tinkering I eliminated hours of routine overhead in the form of a macro which automates a file export request. Works great for me. Thanks!

Was able to save a single macros only at the freeware level. I would've gladly paid but the price is not reasonable. This should be 10 bucks not 100.
