It works! it's sort of sad that the expected outcome of something (such as extenstions) is for it not to work, or work well. NOT SO with Universal Video Downloader! I currently have 11 video downloader extensions and sixteen image downloader ext. installed (not ever loaded all at once) - mainly because not one of them works like they are supposed to. If Universal Video Downloader continues to work, fingers crossed, looks like I will be cleaning out the useless extensions and having just UVD installed. I would be totally willing to pay for it (one time payment, not that icky recurring subscription stuff) to keep it updated and fully functional!! Thank you devs! UVD is awesome!!

Out of all the extensions I used, this was the only one that worked perfectly. It can be a little tricky, but once you learn exactly how to use it. I would say its the best. Good work!
Excellent video downloader that just works. Has a recording mode as well. True universal video downloader. Perfection!
works well in conjunction sites if required. I use the setting "ON CLIC" In conjuction with browser guard. Some sites need temporary pause of AD Blocker
Does not work for Twitter, not matter what combination of Start and Stop I try.

Actually this is the only extension works for me, but when i open different videos from different windows, it gets confused i guess, when i download a video, i see that another video comes, i dont know how to explain this :)

Great extensions. It works as expected.
This is not a downloader. It's a recorder. You must keep the video playing. Does a good job of finding them but the download method is too inconvenient.

I have installed several video download extension so I can download videos from adult pages and this is the only one who actually works
I really disappointed with this extension. I can't download video from YouTube even from the website. So, why other users has give the positive reviews. I will again I totally disappointed because it has waste my time. I was furious while use this extension.

good to download. incase ur a free movie watcher without netflix on s2dfree or soap2day. you can easily download movies using this downloader.
Doesn't work
I downloaded it so that I could download videos for my class and it downloaded the video as an html file. There doesn't appear to be any way to adjust the settings for it either.
Nope. Didn't work. The extension went blue, it found all the resolution versions of the video. Hit record button, it went red. I hit stop to save. Then nothing. No file anywhere, or even some kind of progress bar or percentage meter ...
The only extension that worked. I had to start the video playing before it could find it, that was the only catch.

It works as expected. It provides my browser with the direct URL link to download the video files directly from the source. Will use this as long as it allows me. Very happy.
The only tool I could download a special video with. The format or type (.mp4) was changed to an unknown format in order not to be downloaded with normal video downloaders. Then I changed the name and could watch it as a mp4 file.

I just downloaded it this morning Tue, Sept 30 2021 .. I tried to record a video , this extension looks like its saving the video, but it does not show a video file type. Why does'ent this extension tell you what file type the video is that you are trying to save , & also where the file is downloading and what file type it chooses to save it as
Hey, I don't know what you guys did, but now I can use your software to download a video from a website where I couldn't before! I'm so thrilled!
When I record a video from website, this extension saves the video, but doesnt save it as a video file type. This extension needs to tell you what file type the video is that you are trying to get, & also what file type it chooses to save it as.... Bad design. But it seems to work impressively besides this....
This is the best video downloader for most alt-media sites that I've found! I like that it gives me the correct title of the video so I don't have to rename it later (instead of a bunch of letters, which some downloaders do.) I also like that it puts the downloads into my normal download folder, so I don't have to remember what special place it puts the downloads. It doesn't work for YouTube, but for that I use 4K Video Downloader instead. I recommend this Video Downloader, it's great!

Not Use-able
The only one that I've found so far that can identify and download embedded playlist videos hosted by vimeo
DOWNLOADS TAKE FOREVER. THEY START AND STOP FREQUENTLY EVEN THOUGH I HAVE THE LATEST WINDOWS AND CHROME UPDATES.
Doesn't work for downloading videos even from my own website. The video is playing and the extension says "Nothing to download - Try to start playing video"

Where can i find the progress bar?
The downloads I have on my chrome says it needs an app to open the download, seems extensions don't work on here,
