Its very cool extension for translate web pages

It's been really easy to use and the translations are more accurate than other tools I've used before.

DeepL's extensions are a must-have for anyone in need of high-quality translations.

I am really shocked by the limitation of the target languages!! I do not see Persian in the languages and it is too frustrating for not being capable of adding many spoken languages to the translator! not inclusive

Someone else here said there is a limit of how much translation you can do. I'll use it for a while and see. Google never limits anything. Also, the english slangs translated to Portuguese (Brazil) are really ridiculous, it's too formal.

Why does the settings button has to appear every time I use it? I have been using it for less then 15 minutes and already misclicked the settings button multiple times. Edit: Aparently there is a limit to how much you can translate. So it becomes useless after some time.

OMG - my life has changed forever! I run events mostly in English but always ghet French requests and converting my in-app games into French was impossible without freaking out. Now, I'm having fun doing it! Woot!

We use it on our Youtube channel to easily translate comments and anything from viewers, as we have an international audience. This tiny deepl chrome extension makes it all so easy! You simply highlight the text, right click it which brings up a menu, and then select "translate text" and it will display in an area on screen under the text you've translated. Works like a dream!! Deep L is amazing and very important to me, an anglophone working and living in Montreal Canada which is mainly french. In order to move forward with my projects, I need to be able to communicate in french to the govenment and it is law to have everything in both french and english. DeepL has saved my life, and I know many others who feel the same!

A very convenient translator, at the level of Google Translate and even better! The only drawback for me personally is a large link to the DeepL website, which significantly increases the translation popup window. It would be much more convenient if the window just had a clickable site icon with a pop-up offer to go to a site with additional translation options.

Such an amazing tool, better than g translate

Paid for the PRO version to have the ability to translate full pages automatically. Most of the time, when it does attempt to translate a full page, it is only translating the visible parts of the page and once you scroll down to the part of the page that is NOT translated, it does not try to translate that area of the page.About 50% of the time, the full page translation does not work. I reached out to support 4 days ago and have yet had anyone reply back to my support email, even though I replied to their automated email that asked for further information. At this point, I'm going to have to ask for a refund. My business involves ordering from websites all over the world and translation services are essential to my business.

Exceptional. Our favority feature is the inline icon that allows you to translate what you just typed into another language. Without having to open a new tab, copy and paste the desired text, copy the translated text and paste the text to the area we started from we saved about 10 clicks per translation. That is a lot of time when we're translating hundred of individual text ares per session. Thanks for this amazing extension.

Just the best, feature to translate text areas is simply amazing. I think it just needs live translation of pages to be 100%.

Please add an option to directly open translations in a new tab. Now there is only an option to open translations in a popup or modal window. Thank you!

I've been using DeepLTranslate for a few weeks now, and the results have been pleasing. The speed and the fact that it little affects my system are its most crucial qualities because they allow me to continue working uninterrupted. It is a great deal quicker and more accurate than Google Translator when translating from English to Greek (though there is room for improvement). Highly recommended

Great online traslater with very intuitive results.

Doesn't work for some languages, e.g. Thai (it detects as Spanish) and Arabic (it detects as English), and will output the same text instead, so there is absolutely no translation applied. Works for Traditional Chinese though.

The feature that translates selected text in a little pop-up window is great. One annoyance: ... if the pop-up window is configured to appear left of the text (option in the bottom-right of the window), and the start of the selected text begins too far left of the browser window, then the pop-up window with the translation is cut-off as the pop-up is not far enough to the right (try any YouTube comment).

The amazing AI in DeepL produces vastly superior translationd than the big two, Google and Microsoft. Highly recommend.

I use the Chrome extension, the Windows application and the DeepL API. They are all fantastic and have allowed me to work in 6 languages - something I had to rely on six people for but I can now do on my own much quicker. DeepL have really thought about how to integrate there translation service smoothly and elegantly.

Having used it for a few days, I am still delighted when it pops up and gives me instant translations/gratification. The French <---> English translations are excellent.

there is no option to manually select the source language when doing a quick translation of a few selected words. it automatically detects the language to translate from, but gets it wrong at times. for example, "tomé mi lápiz" keeps being translated from czech to english as "i love it" instead of from spanish as "i took my pencil"

It was really good while it lasted. Quick and easy to use and its translations were better than the competitions'. However, they neglected to mention to continue using the extension, you have to PAY for it which left me peeved. If you're going to put a limit on how much I can use it for free, at least come out and say that from the beginning by putting it in the description. In the end, I feel like I kinda wasted my time on something that was too good to be true.

Was a lot easier to use in comparison to the other translating extensions, not exactly how I'd picture it ( I'd imagine my selection would just be translated, not in a little box.) but it's not an issue at all. Very easy to use, thanks so much. ^.^

In my own experience DeepL provides most human readable and nice styled translations. I can compare it with Google Translator and MS Translate. I hope in the future the DeepL could determine more precisely in a context what form of verb (or adj.) should be used for "he" or "she" or "it" in some languages.

Its translation service is very precise, but it lacks translation speed sometimes, eventually returning an error. I do hope that this will get better over time, offering a quicker response time, just like the competition. And I will also have my fingers crossed that this will not be a feature intended only for PRO users.

I've used the DeepL website for years and just recently added the DeepL chrome extension to my Vivaldi Browser. It is absolutely, without a doubt, 100% fantastic and accurate, even with slang, technical, medical, and scientific terms. The Vivaldi browser has it's own built in translator but it's nowhere near as good as DeepL.

Really good, although I would like there to be an option for the translation to pop up immediately when you select a text, instead of having to click on the icon first.

DeepL is brilliant. I have just joined Mastodon, particularly to discuss the #ClimateCrisis. Having been trapped previously in an Anglophone Twitter, I am now part of a world community. I speak French and Spanish and could probably read Italian. But my German is virtually nonexistent, whereas many of the experts in my field write in German. Some are thoughtful enough to provide a written translation into English, but why should they? DeepL.com provides an accurate version of what they have said, and allow me to reply in German. Vive l'entente cordiale! (Can't yet say that in German, but DeepL will help me out I'm sure).

A year or so ago, I was a backer on a crowdfunding campaign and the campaign creator did not speak English (and I -- mostly -- did not speak Spanish). He noted that he used DeepL Translate for his campaign updates and I popped over there and found it to be a handy tool. The more I pour through the comments on other crowdfunding campaigns, the more I encounter comments from backers who do not speak (or at least comment in) English and each time, I'd copy the text, open deepl.com, paste the text, and read the translation. About 50 of those iterations later, the "Hey! Would you like to install the Chrome extension?!" banner caught my eye and here we are. I've already used it three times by selecting the comment, clicking on the little icon, and reading the translation in the pop-up. Terrific! Thank you!

What a life saver! I have studied Spanish for years, but never immersed myself so some of the conjugation and words have slipped my mind. I just got my first bilingual job and this extension is amazing to help with my work in immigration to be able to translate from English to Spanish and Spanish to English to better help the clients! Is very good, and gives more "natural" results than google translate definitely, but for some reason it doesn't work on google chat? I have no icon and no hotkey shortcut when typing in google chat, even if it works in gmail. Is a bit annoying as in work we have to use gchat for our IMs, and is ther I need most of my translating. Is this a google thing or a plugin thing?

DeepL is a great tool I use daily. Its translations constantly get better and the developers always find new ways to make it more convenient to use. Ctrl+C+C is my favorite thing ever.

DEEPL is my go-to application, when it comes to translation.

Very happy with it after hiding the popup icons as they felt a bit too present when any text is selected, relying on the context menu entry was perfect. Yet it seems the extension add a v scrollbar in the Twitter compose form, and since i couldn't find a way to deactivate it only for this site, i had to deactivate it globally... I would be glad if this could be addressed. Meanwhile i'll continue to use DeepL. com like before, that is, all the time...

I am studying Spanish and I use Blank Slate for writing stories, being able to write a story in English and print it off, then translate the same page into Spanish, and print that off, "that is fantastic," I can study the Spanish, and when I need a little help I can look back on my English page: I have a lazy brain, writing English under Spanish is no good for me, I naturally keep drifting to the English:

Sadly, it wasn't as accurate as google translate at all, as it cut out most of the sentence very bad that missing out too much words that don't make any sense, I am a person that understand both english and japanese.

I tend to stumble upon Japanese and Chinese videos on youtube a lot, and most of the comments are in those languages, this actually helps me get the translation fast without having to open a separate tab and copy/paste all the time.

Great for shorter translations. The Deepl website best for longer form stuff. If you see a sentence like "The best way to get use out of..." you need to retranslate that bit. Large amounts of repeating can occur too. I recommend narrowing the down the selection with these parts and retranslating. These errors can happen in both the site and the app.

It just works, IDK what should it do else. Well. The option to disable the selection popup icon on per-language basis is highly desired, even if it will cost an extra few milliseconds to detect the selection language. Oh, and monochrome icons that match the browser theme (the toolbar icon) or the website theme (the popup icon) will be great.
