Unlike most extensions, this actually does exactly what it says it will do. Simple. Effective. I am 100x happier writing documents in Chrome now. I prefer this in-app solution much more than installing an application and using a script. Thank you very very much!!!

Doesn't work

Recent update broke pitch to zoom on the MBP, developer is not responsive.

No longer works

Does nothing to stop the ctrl-mouse wheel zoom issue. Maybe it worked in the past, but it's completely useless now.

As many others have said, it doesn't work anymore

As of December 19th 2019, this doesn't work anymore (Chrome Version 79.0.3945.88)

If it used to work it no longer does, I just downloaded this followed all instructions to the letter and it does not work. I have no Idea why Chrome wont let us unmap or remap zoom when other popular browsers do, esp when so many other functions are tied to ctrl, I end up acidently zooming in multiple times a day!!!

Doesn't seem to work anymore. If it ever gets fixed... It would be great if it had an on/off option. Sometimes I like to use Ctrl+Mouse Wheel. Other times, I don't like it. So if this extension could be toggle-able somehow, that would be wonderful.

Unfortunately, this doesn't seem to work anymore with the latest Chrome. I enabled File URLs. I refreshed the tabs. I even tried restarting Chrome altogether. But scrolling still occurs. Luckily. I have NoSquint Plus installed, so I can just refresh the page if I accidentally scroll, and it will reset back to the NoSquint default. (NoSquint also tried to disable Ctrl-Mousewheel, but that no longer works, either.)

This extension has positively improved my life.

seems to work just how I hoped it would. it prevents the touchpad-pinch-zoom, but it still works for other things like zooming in on pdfs and on google maps.

As I am writing this review, my screen zoomed four times while using my trackpad. It does not fix touchpad zooming.

Doesn't work in Chrome Version 61.0.3163.100, including after browser restart.

It does exactly what it should - it prevents my touchpad for lagging the "Scroll" and zooming any page when I push "ctrl even when I don't physically scroll on the touchpad (but it still sends the lagged signal)

The extension does not work anymore. The last update is almost 3 years old! As per the previous reviews, it does seem to have worked nicely a couple of years back. However, perhaps due to some changes at the browser's end, this extension is no longer functional. Requesting the developer to provide timely updates.

Totally worth it, delivers what it promises. I work on a laptop and I often accidentally zoom in/out on a page while trying to press ctrl+tab to switch browser tabs while swiping on my trackpad. It was a major nuisance before I found a fix, I am surprised there's no other extension like this. Thanks.

Thank you for this! I (like many of you, I'm sure) have a sensitive trackpad and also use ctrl to navigate my tabs. The erratic zooming has been frustrating me ever since I purchased this laptop. Finally I've found a solution to this annoying issue. Thanks again!

Finally a solution to this horrible Chrome bug. At first I thought it didn't work because it still seems you can zoom on the Chrome web store and in the Chrome settings page - but it seems this extension works everywhere else. I can live with that; it makes Chrom(ium) 1000x more usable for me. Thank you so much.

Ctrl + Wheel still zooms in and out, but seems to have fixed the mouse tilt + wheel zoom.

GOOD F*CKING RIDDANCE! This was driving me crazy! I'm glad the extension community at least cares enough to hack around this annoying UI bug that got me EVERY SINGLE DAY as a web developer.

One of the most useful Chrome extensions I have. Works 99% of the time.

Constant random zooming was driving me mad as I use the logitech k400r keyboard with built in touchpad (I don't use a mouse). I am using Chromium under Debian 8. I don't need 2 finger zoom as prefer to set zoom manually in Chromium control panel.

It only seems to work 60% of the time. It has definitely minimized the issue, but has not fixed it as a whole. I still get zooms when I don't want.

Beautiful. I always hated when I would try to use CTRL+W to close a tab but inertial scrolling was still going, causing the tab to zoom, then close, then be HUGE the next time I visited the page. Thanks a ton!

The wheel+zoom feature was maddening on my Windows 8.1 laptop with a mousepad. This was a lifesaver of an extension. (mousewheel zoom is a major misfeature in Chrome, especially when you combine it with the requirement to use alt+click to open a new tab)

What a relieve!!! Just works - after restarting Chrome. Chrome adding more and more of such painful "features" that can't be disabled (I know this one is an old one, but they are continually adding such crap). I was already considering using another browser after buying a new mouse where the wheel is rotating without resistance. Every time after scrolling to the top or bottom fast and then pressing `Ctrl` (for opening a new tab using Ctrl+t for example) Chrome changed the zoom for all tabs of this domain and I had to press Ctrl+0 to get it back to normal. Now I can enjoy the fast wheel of my new mouse.

It doesn't work while the page is still loading. Only after the page is fully loaded the zoom is disabled. But still makes Chrome usable again with a mice that have a fast scroll wheel like the Logitech MX Anywhere 2.

thanks it works great. wasn't a problem before, but my new logitech mouse scroll wheel has a weight/momentum behind it and closing tabs using ctrl-W would also sometimes activate the zoom as it is so sensitive.

Perhaps the most useful app for Chrome. I was getting so frustrated with the zoom feature kicking in when I was scrolling and would bump Control key. Found this after some googling. Works perfect (after I restarted Chrome). Mouse still scrolls, but I am not being bugged by zoom kicking in or out when I bump the Control key. Thank you very much to the Developer.

This is a life-saver! My laptop trackpad was causing scroll events to fire "inertially" and when I used a CTRL shortcut it would scroll the page to 500% or 25%. ARG!!! This extension works perfectly! Great job!

I would like the ability to still scroll while holding control, but giving five stars because you fixed a problem that was soooo frustrating. :)

I never review anything, but Ive been searching for hours on how to disable this very stupid feature that windows/google incorporated into the code. This should be an add on with everyone using keyboard shortcuts, theres no easy way to disable it, but this worked perfectly. THank you sir, you are a life saver!

Thank you, this saved me. There's no way I could deal with my new laptop without this extension because the same action that scrolls also caused Chrome to zoom.

I've never rated an app but Google chrome is worthless without this app. Period end of story. This is not a hardware or software issue. Not being able to disable zoom in a browser is a browser defect.

Lifesaver. You have to restart the browser after installing it for it to work... at least I had to (Chrome 43.0.2357.81 on Ubuntu 14.04)

This one is a life-saver! The idiotic scrollwheel zoom is has been driving me insane!

Saved my mouse and keyboard from a smash to the wall. I've got the mx performance mouse, one of the Logitech "flagships", and the scroll wheel on it can't stay still!!! And it squeaks all the time too...
