OUTSTANDING!!! The developer deserves some kind of peace prize for this! Sure, there are some features that are a little buggy, but it has been an absolute lifesaver for me! I am deaf and this has allowed me to watch the videos! Even more important, it has allowed me to transcribe them from English into other languages by copying and pasting the transcript into Google Translator so that others I know in other countries can receive the message as well. To the developer: THANK YOU so much for your work! You have made others lives better through your work!

I MUCH prefer this tool to the default one provided by YouTube which presents only a wall of text. Or too many time-code breaks. YTScribe is on the way to being the premium video transcript tool and it will get there once there is a Punctuation option somehow made available. Yes! I really need the Punctuation option and look forward to it arriving!

Yep, the punctuation feature would be the thing to look for. Some recognition aspects like acronyms are already great.

I love this extension and I use it all the time. The only problem is you don't have the punctuation feature working any more. Other than that I still use it and just edit it myself.

Its good. It only depnds on thickness of accent and background noise. My only complaint is when youtube limits a video, where comments, and rating are disabled, captions are also disabled. This breaks the extension for whatever reason. still worth installing 9/10

I love this extension. I am a online college student and many of my professors prefer to upload lecture videos or post links to videos. I learn and retain more when I read so, this extension has been amazing. I do miss the punctuation feature. I look forward to the punctuation feature being readded.

it did not work. Just got a blank page. I could not guess if it was working. perhaps a progress bar or something of that sort would help. The video I submitted was two hours plus long.

It worked fast and accurate on the first video but I have not been able to use it since!

This is great, but I can't watch the video while reading the transcript, it stays fixed at the top. This makes it almost useless to me. Can you make a scrollable option also the ability to hide related videos? I use this for work and don't want to be distracted. A hyper-productivity tool like this needs the option for me to stay focused :)

there is no punctuation in every video almost all I transcript (in Bahasa Indonesia), so confused to make it into text for reading. please make it more confortable for me to read. Im deaf person, cant hear, only can read, but without punctuation its make me confused

Best Tool, i recommended those who havent used it to try.

It's a good tool. I could see the developers adding lots of value and perhaps be able to charge USD $30 for every two point releases. It does well with the punctuation and works in both MS Edge and Google Chrome latest versions. My problem is that we are not able to choose the language of the transcript generated. I have been getting Arabic for several videos that have multilingual non-English captions/subs. I have no choice in these scenarios but to copy the transcript directly through the YouTube widget thingy (the three dots), toggle timestamps off and then paste into a document.

Does most of what it says. The blue timestamps in the video and the line of the description that says "jump to any part of the video" makes it seem like there will be timestamp links in the time-stamped transcript. Sadly, there isn't. This is the primary reason I installed this extension. The time-stamped transcript feature loses a lot of value without the links. Maybe this is a feature that was once available and removed? Giving it 3 stars because the rest of the features are solid. However, I will be uninstalling because the primary reason I wanted to use this tool is to get time-stamped transcripts for note taking.

The PUNCTUATED TRANSCRIPT FEATURE (at the time of wrting this review) currently comes up as a server error, however editing the VIDEO TRANSCRIPT is no big deal for me, as I have to ensure the output is 100% correct anyway. It was okay, But Punctuation not working. Every time it is showing A server error has occurred FUNCTION_INVOCATION_FAILED

Great tool simple and easy!

This extension is very helpful, but some of the functions do not work properly, although I tested it on several browsers, including Google Chrome. The 'time-coded transcript' does not load consistently, it often doesn't load. The 'punctuated transcript' would be fantastic if it worked, but it almost never loads, it just gives a server error almost every time. I hope these problems can be solved, because it has great potential.

This is one of the most useful extension I have and use it often. I have one problem with it. I find videos with spoken English, my native language, that have English closed caption but the YT Scribe transcript is in a different language that I can't read. I have not found a way in YT Scribe to change the language in the transcript.

Why its not working even with CC videos too, it takes a lot of time to open in some videos and not opening in many videos. Please its a humble request fix this issue properly. Its not solved. Hope you will fix this.

It does the job fine and it's given that not all videos will be transcribe so I know this has its limits.

Great tool to quickly get subtitles or transcriptions for most YouTube videos. Very fast.

Really simple and easy to use. Does what it says. Hopefully developer keeps adding features and makes this tool even better. It is quicker that getting the transcripts of youtube and reads nicer as well due to how the text is spaced. Thank you YT scribe team :)

As someone who isn't terribly visual and prefers reading the written word, this extension is really handy. The extension itself isn't 100% foolproof, but it goes a long way in making reading subtitles easier. Highly recommend this extension if you're a student that needs to listen to interviews, or even someone who reads much faster than one listens. Looking forward to more accurate timestamps and full transcribes. Thanks for this!

It only worked with videos that had subtitles, which seems pointless because you can just read the subtitles for those types of videos.
