I mean i used it before but then my computer did a whole restart thing and then it got removed so wheni added it again i couldn't record like when i went to the page it was installed and then it kept telling me to install it and when i refreshed it just still told me

This is the best video recorder I have ever used. Thanks to the reviews as to why I decided to check it out. Fast and perfect enough for my purposes.

I'll change this review if customer support can get back to me. But the plugin stopped working this weekend. I can record videos, but if I click on the hippo icon in the plugins bar, it just hangs and never connects. So I can't access any of the controls I used to have access to there. Might switch back to Loom. This is a great product when it works, but that's the thing - Loom just works.

This app is amazing!!! I recorded gaming videos with my friend online and the audio came through clearly! I'm so glad I found this app, there's no other extension that I found that did the job. The thing I love most is that they don't have insane prices like other recording apps. Very simple and easy to use!

the app's really awesome! If you have friends that record videos I'd recommend using it or pay for the premium for perks. the regular recording is awesome too, tho i wish that i could download without getting premium

Hippo Video is a video platform that has two unique features that other video platforms don't have. And that makes it a fun platform. The first is a functional sales page. And then a video of the sandwich. Video emails are great for sales and also keep sales professionals in touch with their customers. It's an amazingly good platform.

It's good but the fact that you only have 2 days of free video editing sucks, and I don't want to delete my account just to have another 2 days of free videos.

It is a good chrome screen recorder if you have a Chromebook or if you want to just quickly hit record and be done with it, but there are better options if you have other operating system such as OS or Windows 10.

Amazing recorder the quality is so good! and theres an enless time limit and editors you can use to make your videos better!

I once ran out of bandwidth, but I contacted them and they gave me premium edition for FREE (1 week) so that I could download it! Very nice! Thank you!

That is a best screen recorder ever I seen.....

It's a great alternative to Screencastify, the fact that it can record system audio is what made me switch. BUGS I ENCOUNTERED: While the site itself keeps me signed in, when I use the extension, I need to sign in every time. Editing works fine, but applying the updates doesn't seem to do anything. On screen, you can click OK as many times as you want, but there's no indication said edits are being applied to the video or how long it's going to take. You can, however, click cancel edits without any problem. System Audio Glitch: I was trying to record a scene of a TV show I liked on Netflix. I had done this about a dozen times before without any issues. This time when reviewing the footage, audio was incorrectly layered over the visuals; it started too early. Maybe it was this episode in particular, but over the span of two days I could not get this bug or the other one mentioned to go away.

Its not Free, But its the best thing so far that I've Found so far. I record YouTube Vids on a school laptop at home and I need a fricken admin password so its the best one so far.:)

Yeah sure, its pretty good but I don't like the fact that you only have a 2 Day Free Trial when you first sign up. -1 Star And you only have a 5 minute Recording time so I had to search on google for a refferal code "wVtazv7" -Minus Half a Star And if you want growth you have to pay 20 dollars like CHILL -1 Star

Simple, fast and high quality videos! Installation was super easy and I've had no issues so far!

This is great but it's a little bit slooooooowwwww I also wish you added a trash because I accidentally deleted a good video and I could've undeleted it if it was in a trash.

Doing editing is so easy on hippo I will recommend this for new editors but we can make only 5 atleast 10 min yes we can make a video of all but after min we have to stop we cant start like a gaming video on it and when i edit it i just saw that it is not a smooth video because after min there is diffent angle I mean we can crop it that result

I dislike how I couldn't use pro edit without upgrading. I need to make videos for school, and I'm not allowed to spend money on this

Hi:) I tried Hippo, for about one day, It didnt turn out well.. i would sugggest that you add a santence saying: Free trial only for 15 mins, Because i Didnt know that until now... , I didnt find the Edit section, and you need to pay, My other fault is Its Really expensive, I barely knew that LOL, i would just adore this app if it were free and if you made the app more clearer, I agree its a very cool app so you need to pay to use it, but Maybe just like a few pounds,because eventually its goona have a fault, so its best if you just make it more cheap:) (I recomend: ApeakSoft Screen recorder (Free) )

Well i didnt like it because its not free and it will only let me record up to 5 minutes which is terrible and it will not let me proceed with out setting up some sort of new account on a platform ive never heard of

This app is horrible, I hated it, You know why? When i download the extension it was clean and really easy to work with,but after a few months (or days) Its laggy and glitchy EVERY time i try to record, it suddenly CRASHES, WHY? I HAVE GOOD NETWORK!!! this extension DISGUSTS ME!!! I have even more negative WORDS FOR THIS!!.

i do not recommend this is starter people who make videos let me explain so basically the file of the video will not save first time i tried then it will ask for the file it DOES NOT GIVE THE FILE AND WANT THE VIDEO FILE

i hate the video lag. the audio isnt in place with the video. say i shoot a gun on a video game and its shows me on the screen shoooting but it happens like 3 seconds before it auctually shoots. its annoying and i want it fixed. plz read the review. i also turn quality down but it isnt any good. it only stops the lag in game not the video or audio lag

It says its free, but when you start editing all you are able to do is shorten the video without paying to do anything.

i like it but the audio needs to be better im uplaoding vid and the audio is fine on hippo but when i upload to yt it sounds like a video for toddlers

Hi! I love this app I rate it a four because when Im recording a song ( i'm a gachatuber and gamer) it's annoying that we can't record audio, It really hurts me because I have to stop breathing..

I won't deny that I like the free things in life. While this extension did what it was supposed to, you only get a small fraction of the features unless you upgrade. There are other screen recorders out there on the chrome web store that does what this extension does and MORE, and it's FREE! So, nope. Uninstalling.

It is a very good screen recorder and the best in my opinion, but I've been trying to screen record something and it will NOT let me do it. It'll start counting down and at 2 seconds it will send me to a new tab saying that an error has occurred. I didn't think anything of it and I logged out of it and logged back in. It continued to do it so I removed it from Chrome and re added it. Still did it. I have no idea what to do now and I really need it for a YouTube video. Please tell me what I can do to fix it.

I use HippoVideo to make my youtube videos and it is incredible. I love the fact that it allows me to do a quick render to see the video as a quick preview and to not have the choppy scrubbing. Overall, I can recommend this to just about everyone who needs a quick and dirty editor.

Edit: It was not what I expected. You have to pay to get record without time limit. But still love it! OMG, Thank you for providing a software that record my classes. Because my teacher nevers records her classes and I often forget things I should've learned. Hippo Screen Recorder can also record by tabs which is in means very productive and satisfying. This is the only recording software(without time limit) that fits my need in online school. I love you it. Thank you, thank you, thank you ???? To be honest, it's actually my first time using this app after despitefully looking on the Web for an extension of this kind that has no recording time limit and no watermarks. Thereforw, I might change the rating if I don't prefer this recording tool for a long term use. But still, thank you so much!

Seems to be crippleware of the worst kind. Amateurs & beginners seem not welcome. The expensive commercial users might like paying the monthly fees. Look at their costs that come with increased time spans & abilities. OBS STUDIO, open freeware, on both Linux & Windows, seems much better.
