I love the Chrome add-on. A feature suggestion: since I usually have a lot of tabs open in the same browser window, the ability to push all tabs from the same window from smartphone to laptop (and vice versa) in one click would be helpful for users like me. Keep up the good work!
An amazing app & extension, opens up links, and all media & files when sent from any android to chrome. Would definitely be a ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ if not for the fact that there's no iOS support. Thank you!
Thanks for the great app, and possibly very difficult to manage without it. However, anything that was drafted in the chrome popup is immediately lost if you click somewhere outside the popup by mistake. I wrote a pretty long paragraph that I was supposed to send as an SMS. Just to refer to something I opened up a browser tab. Turns out everything that I wrote is now lost and have to write the same thing again. Not cool! Really forced me to open this page up and write a review. Hope this is seen by someone and taken care of in the future!
But it has a 25 mb per file limit for free users.
WARNING: do not haphazardly allow *all* texts to forward. if hackers ever get access to your computer or in any other way can see your pushbullet notifications, then they can bypass 2 factor authentication. This review is 2 stars to draw attention to this. Performancewise, pushbullet works fine.
Fantastic! Made my phone-to-desktop workflow 100x easier. The file transfer option is a big bonus. I only recently started using it. But SMS via desktop cannot be beat. End-to-end encryption is the icing on the cake! Great work! EDIT: After years of using this app, I'm finally getting annoyed with it. I have the pro version, too. My issue is that it won't stop telling me to put in my password for end-to-end encryption. On, off, setup correctly, it never ends. This needs to be fixed as it causes the focus to be stolen from the current window I'm in and it doesn't seem to be stoppable without uninstalling the extension.
I suppose it worked ok-ish, but deleting old pushes between my devices didn't work reliably, so sometimes old messages would continue to display but could not be removed without purging everything. Trying to delete them just put up a 'object not found' message or something.
recently the notification stopped working for no reason even with desktop app sadly this app is getting worse day by day !!
I went beyond my (if its incomprehensible after 5 mins - Uninstall it) rule but after about 10mins could find no notifications from phone nor any further avenue to look into it - everything seemed to be turned on and the "test notification" worked; just no actual ones; so back to Mighty text with its clunky arrangement. I wonder how difficult it is to copy Microsoft's "Your phone" format where msgs. and notifications are easily selected for viewing.
Love it, but one BIG problem, YOU CAN GET IN TOUCH WITH ANYONE!!
DMLKD
I do not support IOS, so i moving away!!
it stopped working from android to chrome. from chrome there is only option send to all devices not to specific device,
Great for transferring images, links etc. wish had universal clipboard in free version too
Used to love it, but then I upgraded my iPhone and was forced to delete the app. Why was the app removed from the iOS app store?
cannot login in by google account, seem a long time but no fix.
I tried to be positive regardless of the negative reviews, but the issues brought forth by some users are alarming. The financial implications, and lack of means by which a subscription may be cancelled, along with UI similarities leading to embarrassing situate especially of concern to me. As the reviews don't really show the impact they have on potential users, I added the extension so that I could express, the concerns I've read about make using this extension prohibitive and I will not keep it on my list of extensions.
I love pushbullet I probably use llike 20% of the features. I mostly send links to the missus and photos from my phone to my PC and the odd small file... but PB doesn't have iOS applications and that just sucks, I switched to iOS because of work and now pushbullet is dead to me
These guys are CROOKS! I signed up years ago and appreciated the product at that time. However, since then, there are free alternatives (e.g. linking your android message app to your chrome browser) that do a better job. Unfortunately, when I signed up, it looks like I OK'd auto renewals of my annual subscription. So since then, I have tried to cancel my subscription - there is NO way to do that. This is the second year they have charged me for something I don't want. I was unsuccessful in getting my credit card to cancel the charge last year and have not been successful this year (got charged today). If all else fails, I will cancel the credit card. BOTTOM LINE - don't sign up!
Didn't work for me and I could not figure out how to contact the company. I got charged again this year, and finally figured out how to get it to stop renewing the charges, but there's no way to email the company for a refund or for any purpose whatsoever. I feel cheated.
I love the extension, please make a mac download, thank you!
Works most of the time. However, it glitches if I try to send a group text or a text that's too long. Also you only get a certain number of free texts per month.
Hm, not sure what happened, used to work fine but the extension doesn't seem to work anymore unless you visit the pushbullet site itself, sending anything via the extension results in a generic error, wether that be text, images, whatever.. I see it hasn't been updated in a while, could it be abandoned? (hope not)
Doen´t work from today on Brave Browser
Pushbullet has a major visual design flaw that can lead to very embarrassing situations the UI for pushing messages to yourself and sending SMSes to other people are dead similar. i've accidentally sent what are meant to be private notes as smses to other people. this is ridiculous design. been using this for years but I've had enough of this. uninstalling it now.
Simple, effective. Works in real time and in demand!
My bitcoins were stolen after installing this app, how is that?
Something is very wrong with this app that involves privacy concern.
Premium is GARBAGE. Tried the premium as I have enjoyed Pushbullet in the past. My txts were often showing up under the wrong name or not showing up at all on the app. Amongst other issues. I emailed customer service 2 times with NO RESPONSE. What the hell did I even pay for?
I have never written a review this short or direct or real. This is worth every cent for pro and while I think that their price is excellent, they could easily charge twice as much and the only reason they would lose a customer is because someone forgot to pay their credit card bill on time and forgot to read the email Pushbullet would send to everyone saying they are doubling their price. I say this because the software and service are worth quite a bit more than that to me but please don't change the price on behalf of everyone on the internet
all ok apart from sound notifications not working on google chrome with pushbullet extension
Was good while it lasted
Useless for iphone users, they removed it from the iphone store without any warning.
great app
I have been a happy Pushbullet Pro user for several years. It does everything I need and I have not had any problem receiving notifications on my Windows or Linux machine from my Android phone. I do wish there was a better desktop client that I could use in place of an extension but that is a minor issue considering the value it gives me.
It's an extension I assumed I didn't need and I was right. Works only with Android to obtain some texting functionality with WhatsApp. Removed
can't send files from Chrome anymore, can't delete notifications either as they pop back in unless i close Chrome
Absolutely brilliant. A must-have extension. UPDATE (now years later): I'm dropping a star for the overpriced "pro" version. LastPass charges $12 a year, which I think would be the perfect price for Pushbullet.
No longer works on ios because the developers are petty
Incredibly convenient to exchange information between devices, thank you very much
i love this app, easy and helpfull to have notification any device. thanks, good job
Honestly, i like push bullet, i really do. I am able to send messages/links to and from devices with ease or even see notifications. HOWEVER, there are things that are annoying, the biggest one for me being the auto scroll down when i am using push bullet on my PC. if i get a big message i pop push bullet open into a window and i scroll up to read messages as i type them and the messages always, always scroll down automatically after a while of typing or reading. This problem has actually inspired me to write this review but all in all i would still recommend push bullet to a friend.
Pushbullet has suited my every need since maybe 2015 when I first installed it across all of my devices. I do understand the flak they're receiving for incorporating a subscription-based plan, but my use patterns have not warranted such necessities like extensive sms correspondence. It works great for sending links to my phone from my desktop, and vice versa. It's also a plus to be able to discreetly perform such tasks while at work or in a bind, say, if you want to save something for yourself to look at another time when you're away from your computer's bookmarks or browsing history. Sure you can access those from the browser internally, but pushbullet has worked as an excellent middleman, of sorts. It has become an integral part of my web browsing experience and I am very grateful for that.
Crashes chrome. Enters loop of notifications of some sort. Useless sadly.
Echt fet als je allemaal berichten doet komen ze ook weer terug maar dan van een ander en dat heb ik nog nooit gezien echt waar kijk maar dat is tocht niet leuk Groetjes Amber
VERY USEFUL FOR PUSHING PHOTOS . SAVES A LOT OF TIME
Cute user interface but I really cant justify paying to limit myself for something Google already does really well. I know people who could pass 100 texts in a day let alone a month!
so good!!!!!!!!!
Recent update borked something up. I clicked on the icon, it opened the drop down as normal, in there I clicked on friends and it opened a new tab to the friends thing. Now every time I click the icon, it flashed the dropdown and then opens the same new tab. ALL THE TIME. Literally can't use it now. EDIT: Now that this is fixed, works just like it used to. I don't like the new redesign but oh well.
I love this app and have used it for years. It works basically perfectly for my needs. The recent browser update to the UI though is terrible. Wasted space, tabs on the bottom. The browser isn't a phone, it makes no sense to move the tabs to the bottom.
Really? I've been using pushbullet for years and now dark mode is "pro" only? Thats pathetic. Good bye.
If a pushed notification expires, or is dismissed from the phone or the Chrome extension flyout (the one by clicking the Pushbullet icon) AFTER the Windows toast disappears AND is then collapsed into the action center (default 5s after popping up on PC), the Chrome flyout and the notifications on the phone work as expected (notification cleared, new count deducted accordingly), but it does NOT automatically get dismissed from the Windows action center.
Everything is smooth for as it does all what I wanted. Nice application.
Absolute must have on every device for years now
not simple to install. don't even think about getting a response from their "support". No one will ever reply or help. I like it and would go to the Pro version, IF I KNEW SOMEONE WOULD SUPPORT US IF I DO.
almost unusable, sending just doesn't work,no notifications...
Was great up until today. Now signing into the desktop app redirects me to here, and signing into the extension redirects me to pushbullet homepage. 0/5 look for something else
Used Pushbulllet happily for years without issues, and it was solid all around, but as they went the "Free-mium" route, and more features became subscription-only, I started having reliability issues with the basics, like messages/links properly pushing, and, no longer being able to depend on it, I eventually fell back on more traditional methods like email. Luckily I ended up finding Join, which, for my needs (sending messages/links/notes/the occasional file/etc between my myriad devices), actually works better, and has no monthly fee. All's well that ends well. I'm sure PushBullet is equal, or possibly even superior for certain usage cases, especially if you are willing to pay the monthly fee, as it DID work well for me for a long time. Since I don't know whether the issues that caused me to drop it have since been resolved, I am rating it on the assumption that they have, based on my experience with it WITHOUT the premium subscription; if you are willing to get the subscription, you can likely add between one and one-and-a-half stars to my rating in terms of what to expect.
This app makes the transmission of images, texts, numbers, videos, and links between devices flawless. Convenient and quick.
Been using it for a while now, mostly for the universal copy & paste feature. That feature alone was worth the $3/mo. However, it seems that after updating to Android 10, the copy & paste feature doesn't work on my phone anymore. It still works between all my other devices though.
This is written by the POV of a 13 year old kid. Like any kid I like talking to my friends. I also find my classes boring at times. This extension fixes everything. I go to a school where we all have our own computers and we all use them a lot. So it is perfectly reasonable that we would have them open. I use this to chat with friends, and even discuss homework. I don't have my pushbullet account hooked up to anything so I find no need to buy the pro version, if I was sending files then I might buy this feature but usually it is just texts or links or images, so the limited file size doesn't affect me. Also because I am only sending messages from my computer I am not affected by the limited amount of texts that are sms or whatsapp. This is a wonderful extension and I hope that this helped you.
Very helpful. Message notifications delay to pop up at times
It's perfect if you want to leave your phone behind because you can write text messages, make phone calls, transfer files & links, and read phone notifications. WOW! It's even better for 2019. I highly recommend Pushbullet on your laptop to make it even better!
does not let you send
Great little thing this is!!! I was using google messages till i found this? hoping its free !
KEEP IT UP IT IS IMPORTANT TO DOWNLOAD YOU TUB VIDEO
best utility I've run across in quite a while.
Would love it if you could pin the extension popout window to the Windows taskbar so I don't need to open up the browser every time I want to look at my notifications. Other than that I really love this app!
it must be FREE
I can't even sign in to the extension.... everytime I try to sign in, it takes me back to my account page on browser tab, but the extension still gives me the sign in /sign up option. plz fix this otherwise this is a useless app to me.
I cannot stand to text on my phone. This makes texting while at work or at school a breeze. I love how easy it is to share from one device to another.
Please add "Mark all as read" button
Amazing!
This is a great app! So convenient pushing info around from device to device. I use it almost daily when I'm on my PC reading an article or watching a video, then I need to head out and I'll push it to my mobile and pick right up.
expensive but very good
Works perfectly with my iMac/Android combination. The best app of it's type that I've tried, and I've tried them all. Well worth the small subscription price.
This makes communication easy without using the social media which I'm trying to avoid. However, I think the messaging features should be better.Currently we can't see if the user at the other end is typing and we can't use emojis..Better to include those also.
Excellent little program - Easily SMS or Send "stuff" to your devices. Have not run into any problem;-)
The only notification I ever got from my phone in chrome was the test notification. Outside of that, it had a 100% failure rate.
Recent update caused messaging not to work. Had to uninstall both on chrome and phone and then reinstall. Windows app isn't showing new messages still. Edit: That worked for about 5 minutes then stopped. Been a pro subscriber for over a year so I will end that soon if it isn't fixed. Sent two emails to support and haven't received anything. Terrible support. Removed stars until I receive support and it's working as intended again.
To not be able to have it running as a tab nor customize colors is, at least, shameful. This simple feature should be enable on PRO (payed version).
Was great. Used to use it to transfer files over to my phone from my browser but that stopped working. So no use for it anymore. Uninstalled.
i love it
A very useful extension for mobile app developers.
Used to be free, have to pay to use it now (the free message limit is way too small). Sometimes doesn't get notifications until I wake up my screen on my phone, then I get spammed with a bunch. Every company wants "only $3 a month" but that ends up costing way too much when you add them all up. Sick of subscription models, make it an outright purchase or at least a 1 time payment to remove the message limit. An optional subscription model for commercial uses, application support & some "additional features" like universal copy paste would be fine.
This is truly the best way to get pushed notifications across multiple devices. Worked instantly for me and teh setup was extremely helpful and easy to follow.
Must have essential for working with multiple devices remotely.
Fantastic. Text to computer. Been using for a couple years. Love it.
it worked first time, and stopped working, i just can send sms, but i can not receive,
loved the app. but let us see the battery percentage of phone on the pc/laptop app, so it'll be helpful while phone is in charge. loved it really. <3 <3
Very complicated. Did not show up my Whatsapp or other notifications.
Often end up with duplicate devices that can't be removed as they're not visible in settings>devices. Really frustrating.
Using it like for years. Loved it. But one issue Chorme Mirroring is not working. Please FIX.
Very Good. Our school doesn't allow phones but when I need to contact my parents due to reasons, I don't need to worry about getting permission on using the school phone. Keep it up. :)
Pushbullet is still my favorite remoting app, the mirror notifications thing is a great value I use everyday. BUT Chrome has stopped showing pop notifications when i push to it. I have to manually open the add-on and view the notifications tab. It used to alert me to pushed content. All permissions are correct so weird :/
was a great app until recently the notification stopped working for no reason. Had to install desktop version to get them back. but still have to keep the chrome app around for easy sharing of links which means twice the resources background
shows only "All Devices" option. That happens only on chrome extension
Been using it a few years now, is a big help @ work with the text notifications popping up on my desktop instead of my phone, which has to be put away. Now I know when someone is trying to get me and can get back to them or not, but i never miss anything important. I don't use it to really text back, though I have, just use it to get the notifications mostly and to send links between phone and pc when needed. It functions perfectly for my needs.
I've had to pay for Pro twice so far but, it's the only app out there that will allow me to chat across other messaging software.
It's not perfect, it has its quirks, some of which have been in need of a fix for years. But it still works pretty well once you get used to it. And I couldn't find a better alternative that has both the texting and "shared clipboard" features.
good!
Love Love Love!! Its perfect
Great extension good app A+
