Loved this extension, worked flawlessly for years with Hotmail/Outlook.com. Stopped working weeks ago, the Neo version doesn't work either. Shame as I haven't found a replacement.

Used it for years, suddenly stopped working. I have Outlook.

Been using for years, however problem with Outlook as doesn't check new message, have to click the outlook mail as opens it to access twice to get message. As this app hasn't been updated to this year, they need to be fixed up with outlook.live.com..

Is there a way to stop it from checking upon the startup of chrome?

This extension doesn't work correctly and becomes disabled by itself after a while.

WHY DON'T THE OWNER OF THIS EXTENSION DO AWAY WITH IT SINCE HE CAN'T TAKE NO TIME FOR IT TO MAKE IT WORK

Like many other users are reporting this extension is Not Logging in to Outlook.com. I am using a different Extension for webmail notifications and they quickly login to Outlook.com and remain logged in. This NOT an Outlook.com prom it is very much a technical issue with this add-on as proven by the fact that other webmail notifiers work well and do not have this issue.

It has been days since this extension does not work properly. I can click on my emails accounts and they do open fine but there is no notification about new emails and everytime it checks for them, it shows the accounts names in red so there is something wrong. They are hotmail, live and outlook accounts. It looks like the gmail account works fine.

Hi, Extension X-notifier (for Gmail™, Hotmail, Yahoo, AOL...) for Google Chrome was working great until yesterday, but now all my Yahoo email accounts cannot be signed in and not checking (clicking on it just open Yahoo page). Gmail is OK. Using latest Google Chrome and MacBook Air 2019 year, latest Big Sur. Any suggestions, please? Best regards.

It worked for years without a hitch. But in the last month or so it appears to try to show the number of unread messages - but won't update. You can click on the red AOL and it will log in - but it's not doing the job correctly.

it seems to me that bill gates went completely crazy and out of anger played back on everyone's favorite program x-notifier

X notified suddenly removed most of the email addresses I had in the drop down list beneath the envelope icon. I am still signed into these email account, I jjst can't see them, nor do I get notification about them in X Notifier. Version of Chrome, is latest. I also tried in chrome beta. same prob. Help!

works well considering there are No Other apps like it. whenever there's an update in windows, mozilla, or chrome, something inevitably fails and it takes a while before it gets corrected. alas i'm staying with it being its the only app i found to do what it does. nobody is close!

Best for Chrome that I've seen.

Doesn't handle Outlook.com, so I can't use it. The only other notifier I've ever found that does is shutting down, so I guess I just don't get to know when I have new mail no matter what I do. Yes, I'm somewhat unfairly taking that out on this extension, but it IS completely useless to me in its present state. Needs broader support.

Automatic checks have not been working properly for months now. I recently re-installed it (which is annoying AH, I might add), but it is malfunctioning yet again.

Broke after last update. Clicking email takes you to the email page, but it never checks on its own. It's always red. Overall pretty unstable extension, every now and then an update breaks it.

I am FED UP of having to "Repair" the extension every day I use it. It'll work fine for an hour or so and then suddenly DISAPPEAR. Requiring repair in the menu. I wouldn't mind it so much if I didn't have to RE ADD MY EMAILS EVERY TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I only use it for two email accounts and I've reinstalled Chrome and the Extension just to be sure and yep, this extension is essentially fubar. Which is a shame. (Also confirmed this bug on my work computer)

stopped working a few days ago. Seems yahoo servers changed something in the login method

yahoo mail watcher stropped working with new yahoo mail version so I tried this and it is working fine with the new version of yahoo mail just like the old yahoo mail watcher did for years before. Very happy to find this

Was the best, now shows all, social, spam as unread. How to fix that?

This Extension doesn't work good in Vivaldi !

x-notifier is showing that I have 46 unread emails on gmail and that isn't true, I've gone through all of my emails, it's only doing that mistake for gmail and it is annoying to me cause it's not showing me the new emails that are coming in.

Was working great, but now all my emails shows red. But clicking on it takes me to my account. All emails are gmail accounts. Update: After the update, all gmail accounts are working perfectly

Been using this for years in Firefox and now trying out Vivaldi and the Chrome version doesn't work correctly in Windows 10. Clicking the icon when you have mail does nothing. No list of accounts is shown like in Firefox.

Simple and awesome ext. ....... However it'll be cool if the ICON and DROP DOWN menu were stylized.... I mean they are simple but with Windows 10 something more stylish would look good.......but nonetheless 5 stars for convenience...............Thank you....

in the new interface, gmail does not notify about messages from neighboring social network tabs and promotions. this is the only normal extension was!

Awful notification icon does not show numbers (how many messages you have got) and is greyed out permanently no matter what you do the sound (chime) works only two or three times out of dozens of messages and when i get an email it opens another hotmail outlook tab even if i am working on another tab regardless and even worse as my outlook tab is open all day if i am reading an email on my inbox it throws me out opens another outlook tab for the new message how kin stupid is that by far the worst notifier i have ever had. no stars and not recommended to anyone. P.S. its chucked me out and opened new tabs 4 times while i typed this review. make that 5 times. I am now removing this useless extension !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's not working with hotmail/outlook emails for some months now.

The only notifier I've needed. I've used this for several years, starting in Firefox, now in Chrome. Handles multiple accounts with ease. Does exactly what I need.

Unfortunately it doesn't work. It worked for a few days and now only constantly shows a question mark. I can't find any options to try out, either.

It no longer checks Yahoo for me, but works well for Gmail & Hotmail. The one thing I HATE about it is that it does not store your passwords ANYWHERE. The FF version used to store them, but it stopped, and now there is no way to recover any of your PWs if you forget them, so be sure to write them down and store them somewhere safe, or you'll have to change them all like I did when XN stopped working for Yahoo.

Managing several Yahoo & Gmail accts. Browser and Yahoo updates make it stop working for a while but they keep releasing updates to bring it back again. I like that.

I used it for years for my yahoo mail account, for me the most simple and usable checker.

Can only check once, second time it will not response. Even though restart browser won't work.

Latest Edit 07/25/17: STILL NOT WORKING FOR YAHOO. Its been almost 2-3 months that it has worked for yahoo since Yahoo updated their login other than super fish functionality that was almost sneaked in unnoticed, this is an excelled extension and gets the job done

Works great when it works but unfortunately, I guess yahoo, hotmail, and gmail are changing things faster then the developer of this extension wants to change things so it stops working more then it works. Not reliable enough. Thanks anyways.

Having trouble with my Yahoo mail. Gmail is working fine.

Buggy at times, but works better than most. Now it is showing that I have 1644 emails (outlook.com), which is not accurate at all.

Doesn't work very well lately. Has trouble with Yahoo, AOL and Hotmail with multiple accounts. I understand some of the issues are browser problems and other issues are websites changing things all the time. Unfortunately this app has to adapt every time any of those issues arise and makes this app have constant compatibility issues. 5-stars when it works but when it doesn't work it is almost worthless.

not working great with my crome/ hotmail account

This app works well the only thing I've noticed lately that I don't like is I am unable to delete any of my email accounts in the options setting. I select delete after highlighting the one I want to remove. But as soon as I refresh the page it's back. Please fix this.

Not like the old version at all. I manage 17 email accounts between gmail and yahoo and it won't check all of them and when I click on OPEN, it only opens half of the accounts that have email in them. Totally stupid. Actually looking for a better email manger right now. If anyone has any ideas, please reply.

I have multiple gmail and hotmail account. It always opened the same / first gmail account or hotmail account no matter which one I selected. but the feature worked well on firefox.

Has trouble accessing all of my Gmail accounts, but works great with all my Yahoo, AOL, and Hotmail.

This is a great extension however it does seem to break a lot and they are slow to fix it. However they recently fixed it (yet again) and for now it is working as it should.

Issue related to not checking multiple emails is fixed, giving you back star!

Not working for Outlook.com. This app used to be great. Not anymore.

It was OK for a while, but a week or so ago it stopped checking more than 1 gmail account. A great pity.

This extension needs to be updated, it will only stay logged in to one gmail account.

Used it in Firefox and it was awesome. Doesn't seem to check some accounts for no apparent reason. I guess Google chrome is to complicated for them. What a shame.

It is ok. But wish it would recognize the many flavors of Microsoft's emails (live.com, outlook.com, office365.com)

Gmail is back now. Cool.

TLDR: Log out of gmail(s), log back in (all of them). Gmail wasn't working for me for a while, thought it was something to due with the developers not keeping up to date...but the extension was working no problem the whole time. Just logout of gmail MANUALLY (you know, click your acct and hit logout) then re-log back in. Check Now in X-notifier and success! Still the best email extension for getting notifications and switching between inboxes.

same problem as other postings. in chrome, it is not checking all gmail accounts. they remain red. in firefox, it works. please fix! great extension.

It doesn't work with INBOX accounts. If you transformed your gmail into an inbox account it will remain Red.

Used to be great BUT currently NOT checking all gmail accounts. Some remain in RED. Please UPDATE. Looking forward to finding an update, as this was the MOST USEFUL chrome EXTENSION! Thx!

Gosh.. Deleted accidently this plugin. And couldnt find. Tested 5 different extensions.. They had just too much options. This X-notifier is BEST. So SIMPLE and so GOOD 2in1

GMail script bugged for the 999th time, it doesn't notify of any new mails from my GMail account.

Best thing going for email check, I have no problems with Gmail, Hotmail (Outlook), Yahoo. A deep computer cleaning may remove your info but all you have to do is add it in again. 5 stars.

Used to be 5 stars, now I cant use multiple hotmail/outlook accounts. Its a headache to check my outlook account if any other hotmail accounts are added to xnotifier. This leaves me searching for something else I can use in place of this.

if this is the same brand extention which I use on fireefox where it woks excellent, in chrome is too slow, not working for nothing with multiple yahoo and outlook, i didnt test with gmail i broke my nerves, so i deleted it, if there is a similar quality extention like that one for firefox, and WORKING same for chrome, let me know, thanks
