I also miss the wrap around feature. Love the extension otherwise.
One nit with the recent update; it used to wrap tabs from the end back to the front and vice versa; now it looks like tabs don't wrap to the front/back. Any reason for this change?
This is an amazing extension which I found out while I was looking for a functionality exactly what it offers. Short cut keys are convenient and it has saved a lot of my time.
changed the default shortcuts
To the point
This extension is great, and improved my productivity massively; thanks!!!
Works exactly like described.
Exactly what I needed. Thank You!
Works perfectly and there's no fuzz with having to create an account or mess with settings. Don't even have to restart Chrome. Prime candidate for one of the best extensions out there.
god level extension. thanks!
I love youu, this is super helpful, normally tabs on the far right are impossible to move but now they can be. <3
Does the Job
Ridiculous that Chrome needs an extension for this, but thank you so much for writing it!
exactly what I was looking for.
Truly amazing productivity / organization extension! Where do we donate?
Exactly what I needed! Thank you!
Very clean and convenient
Unable to edit my previous review, but I left 4 stars because it does everything I want it to do with the exception of buggy behavior where opt+shift+left/right would move tabs in spite of that function being mapped to ctrl+shift+left/right. A scenario where this might happen is when editing a URL and wanting to highlight whole words using opt+shift. Developer addresses this bug in other review comments. Setting the mappings from "In Chrome" to "Global" caused the buggy behavior to stop. Now I can use ctrl+shift+left/right to move tabs and opt+shift+left/right to edit the URL without clashing behavior. Because it does exactly what I want, 5 stars.
Simple, works fine. I wish this also had a feature to move to the rightmost postition and actually to open tabs at the rightmost position.
Works good, doesn't need any permissions
So simple and beautiful. Nice.
As Ali Abbas' mentioned, option+shift+left/right in text selection situation, the extension shouldn't be activated. (Using a default setting; control+shift+left/right)
This should be built in to Chromium. Great feature to quickly rearrange tabs around with the keyboard. Only one issue: when you try to select text in the address bar using Shift+Option+Left/Right, it moves the tab instead of selecting the text. The shortcut for this extension is Shift+Control+Left/Right. The Shift+Option+Left/Right shortcut needs to be removed so we can properly select words in the address bar. Please fix!
It works fine, but I would like for it to be able to function alongside tab groups. Currently, moving a tab will open collapsed tab groups, and moving a tab will skip over locations when entering or exiting a group. 5 stars if it is changed to work cleanly with tab groups.
Just works as expected! Thanks :D
I love it, but there's a bug on Mac OS that prevents using "alt" (option). If you set your keyboard shortcut to "ctrl + shift + left" for example, using "alt + left" also triggers for some reason. So it's impossible to use "alt" to select some text in the address bar word by word. In other words, somehow, "alt" triggers the extension as if it was a combo of "ctrl" + "shift". ?
Moving tabs left/right doesn't work for me, only CTRL-SHIFT-UP/DOWN does anything
Very Useful Extension
Works exactly as it should, huge QoL boost. I would love to see shortcuts for collapsing tab groups as well!
It works!
Does exactly what it says it does. I find this extension exceptionally helpful for me since I regular use 150-400 tabs at once (RIP RAM), love it!
Love this extension! Just installed. I noticed a bug: I have (the default) ctrl shift arrows set for moving tabs left and right. This works great! Here's the rub: If I'm on a webpage and filling out a form field (for example, the very field I'm typing in now!) I can use option shift arrows to highlight whole words at a time. Makes for faster editing. However, if I'm focused on the URL (I'm a big fan of cmd L to edit URLs) and I similarly try to use option shift arrow to highlight part of the URL, the tab gets moved instead of the word being highlighted. This is despite ctrl shift arrow being set for that shortcut and not option shift arrow. This only happens when the URL bar is focused.
Great extension, works as advertised.
Thank you! Exactly what I needed.
Perfect, exactly what I searched!
Beautiful simple and useful open source extension with a trustworthy permission set and an honest + active developer!
For those times when reaching 6 inches to use your mouse is just too much. Works perfectly.
Absolutely awesome. What a useful tool! Thank you!
Works perfectly, thanks! This is good for my productivity.
Simple and effective
amazing yet simple extension. use it every day. +1
É maravilhoso. É prático e traz muita produtividade e ganho de tempo. Adorei!
Thank you!
This is great ... when it works. For some reason, it stop working to day, and I have no idea how to fix this. Has anyone encountered this problem?
To move selected tab(s) to the front (leftmost position) Mac: Ctrl+Shift+Down Windows: Shift+Alt+Down To move selected tab(s) to the end (rightmost position) Mac: Ctrl+Shift+Up Windows: Shift+Alt+Up Swap this
Great simple extension. Works perfectly.
Does what is expected of this. Also if there is any additional functionality like "pin tab" would have been also helpful.
This extension is really good
Works exactly as advertised, reliable and simple. Adds a useful feature that should be built in!
I love it! I'm so used to Linux (for which the tabs-moving hotkeys are built into Chrome) but I use Windows when I have to. You make the transition easier with your wonderful extension!
This is a beautiful thing. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I generally have lots of tabs open at once, and when I try to drag one from the end to the front, it invariably drifts off and then ends up as its own window or stuck in a different one. I was hoping there was a keyboard shortcut, couldn't find one, so I looked for an extension and yours is wonderful. On a Mac I prefer using cmd-shift-[arrow] so since those weren't assigned to anything else I just changed the shortcuts. Excellent!
Huge time saver and extremely use for keyboard shortcuts lovers!
Awesome, lightweight, easy to customize, exactly what I needed.
Oh my goodness, finally I can move tabs to the left or to the right with a keyboard shortcut on Mac! Dragging them usually ended up opening in a new browser window instead which was extremely frustrating. Thank you!!
Great extension. I set the shortcut Alt + D to move my Gmail tab always to the far end of the tab list. This is where I want the Gmail tab to always reside. :-)
Customize keyboard shortcuts: Go to `chrome://extensions/shortcuts` or ☰ Extensions (upper left) > Keyboard shortcuts
Totally under-utilised extension. Bravo. My only feature request would be custom key combination support, but I love it as is anyway.
Very easy, simple shortcut. Works just as it says it would, not bs in the middle + it's free. Thanks man.
Does exactly what it's supposed to. Perfect!
Clean and simple, the ability to change the shortcut combinations is fantastic. Personally was able to rebind it to alt+shift+pgdown/pgup/home/end to emulate the default control+pgdown/pgup.
It does what you think it does.
I like this extension very much. Thanks you very much for creating this such a useful extension. There is bug after recent chrome update. I generally use Ctrl+shift+left/right arrow to move tabs. But if address bar is in focus than alt+shift+left/right arrow also move the tabs which i don't want. Use alt+shift+left/right arrow to select words in url or text i type in address bar.
This is perfect, thank you for allowing me to change the shortcut keys to move tabs around.
It is a stupidly wonderful simple tool. The dev is super nice and is responsive to users who contribute to the extension.
Immediately works like a charm on my Macbook Pro. Thank you
Works perfect. This helps workaround the missing tab management by using hotkeys on mac.
Works as needed. Mohnish, please consider a "send to right end" / "send to left end" feature. Thank you!
Works exactly as advertised... and on the first try. Thanks!
First try - exactly what I hoped for!
This is the only app I've found that rearranges tabs, and allows a tab to cycle (if you move the first tab on the left) to the left, it'll now show as the last tab on the right end of your list of tabs.
Works perfectly on macOS Sierra. Can change hotkeys used (via Extensions > (bottom of page) Keyboard shortcuts). Simple and unelaborated: only 60 lines of code.
This should be a chrome feature.
My days of opening new windows while trying to slide the tabs are over! Works great!
Exactly what I needed. Looking for this for a long time. Thank you very much. (y)
Missed this functionality from Linux on Mac, works great!
I don't think the text highlighting works in ChromeOS.
You did a great job!
This is awesome. This is the only extension I've found that works on a Mac to move tabs. I would really love to use "command shift arrow" to move the tab. I know this is already used to highlight text in a form. It would be could if the mentioned key combination would work when not in a text field.
I would really like to be able to change shortcut.
Lightweight and responsive. Does what it says. Love it.
Request: is it possible to implement the ability to move the active tab to the beginning or to the end of the tab bar?
Great functionality, but shift+alt for chrome overrides hotkey for highlighting by word. Would love an option to define your own hotkey.
helpful..
does exactly what it says. very cool for when you have 10+ tabs open
