Awesome addin!!!
A great extension. Enabling Javascript and having a built in jquery library, makes tweaking sites easy. I use it to add classes to elements, remove panels from pages, resize sections like a canvas with css, debounce searches on inputs, add my own buttons to pages for ease of use and scrape data by querying the dom and use the mutationobserver to watch for changes and act on them. This extension is like a macro tool that allows me to customize some sites I use to enter or retrieve information from more efficiently, while cleaning up junk like splash notices, subscription blockers, cookie notices, notification requests etc and use the page real estate for the content I care about, like a full size map instead of one surrounded by adverts, banners, menus or buttons I never use.
I was looking to inject custom css and js in certain pages to battle against the new distractions (games tab, marketplace) that facebook (and other sites) comes up with. I was looking at Greasemonkey and found it too complicated for my needs. This one really fit the bill
Does exactly what I need. Handy for eliminating overwhelming/distracting advertising or inefficient layouts of regularly visited sites like news outlets.
The update finally arrived.
Used to be good, now the JS part doesn't work anymore.
Bad experience from the very beginning now it is even worse, it just does not work, all my styles have disappeared.
The Javascript part broke, so half of the entire extension is essentially broken, rendering the entire thing useless.
There is no priority over web site styles and your entered style skipped by chrome. You can see in the developer tools.
Doesn't work
Does not run scripts on page load like it once did. The toolbar icon must be clicked and a "RUN SCRIPT" button must also be clicked manually. Yes, even setting a script to run with window.onload or $(document).ready fails to run on page load. A minimum of two clicks are required to inject JS.
Great extension, I like it so much. A real time saver. A companion that helps me change the style and UX of websites that are not so user friendly. !!! One request. Please implement a notification so we know that we already added some style or JS to a website. I think it will be enough to just change the icon color from black to green, for example. !!! Best regards.
Whole plugin changed, breaking everything. Creator is providing links to ANOTHER copy of the original plugin. Of course the other one doesn't load any styles from this one! He should have made the new plugin separately and left this one alone. I can't imagine how the creator thought it was a good idea to suddenly swap out the entire plugin on us. This is a fantastic example of "pulling the rug out from under people." It seems the creator thought he could also just shove another one under us. He is untrustworthy and should have his extensions pulled from the store.
New update broke my styles. Also the new marketing and outlook is childish. Emoji? Really? Because people who tinker with CSS and JS really love putting emojis on websites....
Great extension!
It was cool, now it is effectively broken
New version is awful because it does not work. My styles are no longer applied. Why change it? It was working great before... Create a separate new extension, if you felt like using emoji's everywhere like a twelve year-old. Hate it.
With the update there are some changes. Rebranding, need to add mandatory !important, etc. Can live with it. However the JS is now not auto executing. If I click run script, it works fine. However it is not auto execution which is exactly why I used this plugin in the first place. Please get it back or let me know what I should be doing.
Loved this plugin before, but with the last update I've just uninstalled it and reported as abuse just because I didn't realize about the rebranding! I thought it was an extension that was installed automatically as spam. Now I've installed it again and lose all my data... very disappointing! --- UPDATE: I started adding css rules again and it doesn't work unless you add !important... please rollback to the previous version guys!
Latest release is terrible. - I have to use !important in rules that I should not - and the emojis... This latest release gives off the spyware vibe.
The style change surprised me, but thankfully the interface is as minimal as ever. Feedback: I don't agree with an unnecessary 'Reload' button that I might hit by mistake. The 'Saved Data' menu is great but: 1) How do I close it? 2) Any way to search through hundreds of websites? Suggestions: It would be nice to have an option to disable the open/close animation of the extension. Otherwise, this is still my favorite JS/CSS injecting extension.
Alright, I was wrong about losing data. Still the best css and script editor.
Formerly had this rated at 5. It's still a great extension, but the latest update made it harder to use and rebranded the icon without notice. Previously saved CSS needs to be accessed through a very inconvenient menu that you must scroll through to find the site you're looking for (which is a long list for me, as I use this extension on a LOT of websites), then you need to close and re-open the extension window to add that CSS back. And to top it off, the CSS will not work as well as it used to without adding more `!important` rules than previously. I really like the extension, but am worried that progress seems to be moving in the wrong direction.
On localhost there is the following error: Uncaught ReferenceError: css is not defined at styler.js:2 Uncaught ReferenceError: js is not defined at styler.js:3 Could you fix it? Thanks for this nice extension
Holy crap! It worked exactly how I hoped it would! Well done.
Enter CSS and JavaScript. jQuery included. Instant persistence, no fuss! Basically perfect - could add some way to edit paths.
Used it for a restyling job (which means, that the final css will be saved elsewhere), for that this is the ideal tool. Can't save after 331 lines though so I can manually copy/paste every time i close the editing box. If this bug is fixed, it's an easy 5, now it just gets the job done.
Love the plugin! But, now i also encountered blank css and js, it is like the code doesn't saved and reset to blank. Please fix this issue
Sync works! It's fundamental in 2016
Big fan of this, use it for so many websites!
This is great but sometimes the css and javascripts were resetting to old content or becomes blank. Please check the issue I encountered
Love the "real time" css changes preview.
So incredibly easy!!! Absolutely perfect.
Thank you thank you thank youuuu very much for creating such a great extension!
Works beautifully! Applying JavaScript can be tricky, sometimes requiring artificial delays and loops so that content can finish spawning in, but at least it can be done! I use Styler to calculate and display the "price per GB" on NewEgg and Amazon pages. Would love the ability to define the "scope" of a Styler script/CSS more precisely (e.g., "*.newegg.com", "someurl.com/somefolder/*").
Works great. Super simple.
body { -webkit-font-smoothing: antialiased; text-shadow: 1px 1px 1px rgba(0,0,0,0.3); } above smooth out all the fonts very happy
Possible best light and easy to use injector for chrome/
yay, awesome! Love it!
nice tool, just add import/export my list+roles.
The main problem is that it cannot apply to specific url paths, so you can't write a specific css for say http://reddit.com/r/unity3d because it'll apply for all pages under http://reddit.com
Seriously so awesome. Helps me clean up and customize UI/UX on apps I use on a daily basis. Love this.
MJR, Thank you very much for creating such a great extension!
Simple, functional, quick and easy to use. Tested some, loving this one.
Cool little extension! Recently Chrome 50 changed the way it handles some CSS (chromium issue 594376) and this messed up the edit function on our Confluence (ticket CONF-41035). I was able to use this extension to apply a fix for this without having to update our Confluence.
The animate to display the editor is completely unnecessary and 9 times out of 10 it results in a 50px wide useless dialog, which then results in multiple attempts to open the editor before the correctly sized dialog appears. This extension also has MAJOR ISSUES WITH SAVING after editing. It doesn't save on paste from the keyboard, and I've run into the editor requiring a page refresh before it'll save new edits made without paste, several times now. Not being able to have the editor and developer tools open at the same time is extremely frustrating. Overall probably a decent extension for simple edits, but this is not a robust tool.
a option page where you could view all sites where you applied some theme to it. it doesn't work on chrome://{anything} chrome://settings
Great extension. The only major issue - it does not sync CSS/JavaScript across all my browsers (where I'm logged in under google account), so I have to retype same rules on different machines. Please add sync feature!
Awesome extension! Easiest way to customize any domain with your own CSS/Javascript. Just wish it had and overview of all styles.
Great extension! No non-sense just pure CSS and JavaScript. Syncing works flawlessly and with no effort.
forgets style after browser restart
It's great!
goodbye banners
I wanted to develop a plugin of this kind over a year ago, but too lazy to make it. Thanks a lot for your work.
Simple and perfect! As a developer I need to test stylesheet/js files on live websites before deploying. Although you can do that with dev tools, once you navigate to a new page or hit refresh, your files need to be re-added. With this extension I can add a CSS import: @import url('/css/styles.css'); And my file is loaded every time for that domain. Good stuff!
Отличное приложение. Просто. Быстро. Удобно.
