What a crazy extension, mind-blowing and world-changing

I love this extension, it save me money on every site that it's available and it has the option to track specific products for price drops and it notifies you when it happens. Another neat feature is that it compares prices and it makes sure you're getting the best deal.

Just so dam spammy and underhand, having this popup for EVERY site even when it doesn't have deals available but it's more than happy to still take over the referrals links and earn it's cash with Vague promise of Cashback maybe! newsflash: there is none

Worthless waste of time, most of the time I am annoyingly bugged to try coupons, where I then sit and watch about ten or so get tried just to tell me I already have the best price(every damn time). Then I can just go to google and search for coupons that actually work. A few times I have gotten a special offer from a page and when I try to use honey it removes my offer when searching for deals, thus wanting me to pay full price. Today I drew the line when I was looking at a shirt on Amazon and every time I went to click on a different color option a little honey button would appear above and shift the options making me click the wrong one several times. This app is a waste of time, space, and patience, I highly recommend just looking for a coupon code on your own, chances are it will work better than honey's and you won't want to throw your pc out the window by the time you get through checkout. Honey sucks don't get it!

The coupons codes only work 1/10 times. The rewards program is great when it actually works, I guess. The pop-ups are intrusive and I'm constantly having to shut them off.

I like to shop frugally, so appreciate their help in saving a few dollars here and there.

After earning $17, I discovered the only access was through PayPal so I opened an account. They wanted me to attach a debit or credit card to the account, even though I had no intention of spending more than earned through Honey. Then, with no reason, they said they had closed my account and I have no access to my money for 180 days and could only say it was based on my "use." I can only guess it is because I have anti-tracking devices on my computer. I am a retired disabled senior citizen so cannot be due to any "activity." So, after all of the "dollar here and there" of earning, Paypal/Honey took the money back and will require more invasive requests for documentation if I want the $17. Lesson learned. I will never use Honey or PayPal again. Enjoy your $17, stolen from a poor old person.

I can't use my rewards at amazon anymore. I've long hated paypal, and they continue to give me new reasons to hate them.

Got much worse once PayPal acquired them. Seemed to work well at first but over time, stopped showing a lot of history on prices or giving you the option to price watch on many items!

I don't know what changed, but this is now a trash icon to mess your toolbar. Was working like a charm a while back, but I guess PayPal acquisition ruined it. If anyone cares and wishes to fix this, my example case: I'm on The Ridge website in the checkout section. Honey does nothing even when I click on it. However, when I go to the search icon and type 'the ridge' there's abundance of codes found by extension. It just decided not to apply them. Thanks but I can search for coupons in google myself, Honey was there because it did it automatically.

Have used Honey for a while. They have saved me money and I love organisations that save me money.

I used honey for a very long time. Until today when it took over my browser, dimmed the page I was on, and placed a notification in the middle of my screen. No. Just.. no. I'm so tired of apps pretending that people are stupid and don't know how to look at notifications. So what do they do? Take over the browser, dim the page you are on, and place a huge square in the middle of the screen to tell you something. Nope. Allow us to turn off these dumb notifications without an account and I'll reinstall. Who sets a default mode on an app to interrupt end users' browsing experience just to tell you that it's syncing? Goodbye.

I have over $200.00 in rewards and have been trying for days to add them to my paypal account. I have tried multiple times. Also, in the past I tried to redeem them to an Amazon gift card and no luck. I have contacted Honey through email and still no help.

I save so much money with this app. On Amazon, Honey gives me the price history of the item so i know if it's a good time to buy. i can droplist items and get notified when they go on sale. Plus it automatically applies coupons for you. You get all these surprise deals upon checkout..great app!

I was just shopping online and honey let me save $40 in under 5 minutes!! and honey is so easy to use!! all you have to do is click one button, wait a minute and boom!! most of the time you can save at least $20 if the coupons work.

Updated from 5 stars to zero if I could. in 2019 it was awesome, in 2021 it all went downhill. Not sure what happened but I am uninstalling it right after I update this review. Waste of time because they do not allow you to cash out your points. I had banked points for 2 years and have been trying since Aug. 2022 to cash them out, it is now Feb 2023 and I still can't get them. In October 2019 when I installed this in my chrome browser at work as I buy allot of the supplies and I am always looking for savings. It would pop-up and try codes, about 1/4 of them worked but I was earning points and did not even realize it. I had installed a different extension, same kind and it was annoying me because it was popping up all the time so I removed the other. I then decided I was going to remove honey as I did not think I was really getting anywhere until I actually looked at how it worked and started to utilize it. I saw the point count and got curious so I logged in on their site and low and behold I had accrued about $120 (without even knowing what I was doing) which I cashed in for ebay and got a dyson airwrap for a ridiculously good price. Keep in mind I did not do anything but install it and whitelist it in my adblock. It is an awesome app. I have tried my share of add-ons and this is the only one I actually got something worthy back. If you shop online it is a great addition. I just used it to buy 10 otter cases for work, it saved me $89 plus earned me rewards! I am purchasing whether or not I have it, this is just a bonus. Whomever created this did a great job, I envy their skills! If you get rich all the power to you! You earned it IMO! I have not yet shared it to earn gift cards but I may try that next.

I have been using honey for 3 years but since Nov 2022 which I have redeemed 4 amazon vouchers which I have never received I had to contact them 5 times with the promise that the issue will be resolved and I will get an update. However, each time I was disappointed and left without even a simple response and no vouchers. I'm leaving honey and going to use others and I suggest that you don't trust Honey anymore. Shame.

Not sure why some people have moans about this, i have saved hundreds of pounds with this over the last few years, ive passed it to my children and family many times, saved me a fortune. Best thing since sliced bread.

I like it but please please please teach it not to pop up on every new tab I open on the same site. I do a lot of product research when I'm purchasing products (mostly for my business but also myself) and it's so annoying to have to close the little "Rewards Found" pop up every time I open a tab. Also, I've already activated it, why is the pop up asking me to activate it over and over again? If it's not asking me to activate it, it's asking me to login - even though I just logged in.

This extension doesn't work properly. I've gotta login like 3-4 times, even if I'm ALREADY LOGGED IN! Please improve it's functionality.

Has a lot of expired or useless coupons. Since I installed it, I never got one coupon to work. I did earn 6 points after spending $500 on an airplane ticket... That is .06 USD and that is without Paypal's fees to take a cut from the exchange. Would not recommend to use it.

I love Honey -- savesmoney. One issue, though, is the Honey tab that pops up on the right side of the screen frequently covers the shopping cart icon, so you can't get to the cart unless you refresh and click it before the tab pops up again. Super annoying.

Honey is very intrusive with obnoxious pop-ups that are unnecessarily large and in your face, often covering relevant info while I'm trying to check out, forcing me to close MULTIPLE honey pop-ups before every transaction. The pop-ups are usually just to tell me that it didn't find a better deal, so they are completely irrelevant. In addition, it has NEVER saved me money after a year of having it installed. I'd suggest OctoShop as an alternative, OctoShop's pop-ups are small and tucked in the corner, and ONLY pop-up when and ONLY WHEN it finds a better deal. Having both OctoShop and Honey installed simultaneously, OctoShop will constantly pick up on better deals that Honey will always completely miss outright.

Will be uninstalling as its got so bad its now unusable. The amounts you save and the sites that had it are getting less and less. the tab cannot be removed that hangs around the side of your browser and it keeps popping open for no reason. I used to rate Honey but its just not worth it for me anymore, I'd rather keep my data private than be paid peanuts and be pestered all the time.

You don't get rewards even when it says you will. Since Paypal took over I don't get my rewards anymore. I email and ask about it and they say it's because the merchant isn't doing it even though when I check out the pop up says specifically that I AM getting the rewards. Paypal has turned Honey into a piece of garbage. Pass on this one and do another rewards system that is not affiliated with Paypal. You will be doing yourself a favor if you do.

Unable to swap my gold for vouchers in more than 3 months!!! I have contacted customers service and they never got back to me!

Haven't been able to redeem any codes for months! They never reply to any of your emails, I've got over £100 in vouchers which they have stolen!

DO NOT USE!! Since PayPal took over and did a Google on it they have ruined the honey gold, they are not paying out and probably keeping the payouts for themselves, CS never answer any messages any more! Most of the codes don't work now either, there are much better CB and voucher extensions which payout!

It just works, I've saved so much money on tennis shoes this past year.

Been using it for almost a year don't think it's worked a single time. I've had more success hunting codes myself. Anytime It does find "a discount", 8 even, none of them work. This 'savings company' should rebrand as a data harvesting company because that's what it is, and how they exist as a profitable business.

If you have other CB plugins activated and Honey pops up.... and even if you click Try Later or X it out. Later you will find that Honey STILL took over the CB from another CB you wanted to use WITHOUT telling you. Scamming garbage!

Honey does all the research for you. It's easy to use and you save money.

LOVE HONEY! My son told me about Honey and showed me how to use the extension. It has been the best experience. Between Honey and Rakuten, I have saved so much money! The honey drop list is a fantastic feature as well, i see an item i want and drop list it to see if it will be on sale somewhere else.

As the "best" honey rate on the app is 10% and one needs to spend $7000 on honey gold purchases to gain a $10 gift voucher... When passing through any checkout, if honey is present, there is an average increase of 300% in duration. This is due to the high viscosity of honey, this physical property is the key contributing factor to honey's ability to steal time and in effect money from it's users... The $/h rate of honey (one's wage for using it) is below $0.50/h - before taxes - what would be, a criminally low wage, in North Korea

These are great! It doesn't cost anything & most times you buy something online Honey pops up & suggests codes for the item you're buying. It's not always successful but it works often enough, I just got 10% off a £140 shop, which was already discounted in store so it was an extra 10%. In addition to this the store can award you honey points which you can convert into cash or store cards. All for free :)

I was skeptical, but it works really well. It obviously doesn't work with every site, but it works with several more major retailers. I've only used it a couple of months and have saved at least $100 in coupons at checkout.

TURN IT OFF when you're shopping with Rakuten. Just found out that this is why I didn't get my 10% and 15% cashback on multiple large orders. It will hijack the order even though you accepted the offer through the Rakuten extension.

FAILS December 4, 2022-12-04 - what happened? The icon is grayed out, it no longer shows up on Amazon's web site, and it's dead on Google's own shopping. The extension icon DOES work when the web page is "JoinHoney.com" ( ! ), so I open the extension and copied-and-pasted an item from my shopping cart, then search for comparisons from inside the extension, and when searching for a specific vitamin, Amazon showed me COUCHES - they have munged the code, WHAT A FAILURE AND PAIN! Ouch! $4billion for a brick? Sorry, PayPal.

This extension saved me some money but for some reason changed my main search browser google to Yahoo Search, I tried changing it back but I was not allowed too. This extension is not as great as everyone makes it out to be. It saves some money but it isn't life-changing

Occasionally actually get a nice discount rebate from "HONEY". I DID get a nice, substantial "rebate" today,,,,from SHOP LC, More often, HONEY checks my 'carts' on various apps for discounts/rebates....and does not find any....reporting back to me that I 'already have the best price'. Yet, HONEY constantly pops up at every opportunity in trips to various internet websites, sometimes interfering with an ongoing "chat" I'm having with an online agent or customer service representative, which can be very 'pesky' and even "annoying'. When I get a 'rebate', that's very nice....but at other times, it's very frustrating to see HONEY pop-ups. 'Sorry, but my rating needs to be 'mixed'. I will keep using HONEY, since the app does occasionally yield very tangiale ($$) results.

What has happened to honey? it has gone down hill fast...Been using for 3 years no problem...since the word PayPal has been added to the site its now full of bugs.It no longer checks for discounts or adds points to my account, when i email customer services its like the blind lead the blind, they dont read your comments or give you any help....all they keep saying is "PayPal takes 14 days" even when i tell them i don't have a PayPal account.....i have re-installed and activated rewards every time i use it,,,will now uninstall and move onto Croupon

I've been using Honey for years, however you're now unable to redeem your points for anything. I've emailed countless times, and chatted to multiple people on their chat function to no avail. I contacted Honey via Twitter DM also and came back to the message to find out that they had blocked me which is incredibly unprofessional

Applied its discount codes a few times and its worked good for me

11/16/2022 - I don't know if Pay Pal acquired Honey, or Visa Versa, or something else - But, I can absolutely with out question, state that a once great Chrome Extension NOW IS AWFUL!!!!!!!! Furthermore it has been WORSE THAN AWFUL for at least the past 6 months, probably for over the past year!!!!!! I had tons of rewards which are now gone - The extension keeps disappearing from Chrome. The Drop list has been changed, and you can no longer control what price points you are looking for. The Drop List folders are gone. All of the stores that I was following are now unfollowed. If i give it some more thought (not worth my time) I can probably think of more that is wrong with it, and it used to be quite helpful! NO LONGER HELPFUL!!!! NO LONGER WORTH USING AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!! PROBABLY THE WORST APP/EXTENSION I'VE EVER USED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I redeemed my honey gold for PayPal shopping credit and the status says pending. This was on August 1, 2022. I have sent about 8 ort 9 emails requesting a status update and never got a response. I communicated with 5 or 6 reps via chat and each one left the chat without answering my question, telling me they will look into and then disconnect the chat. I sent two emails via LinkedIn to a manager and supervisor and got no reply. I posted on Facebook a few times, the first time I was told to send an instant message and got no response. I posted a couple of times on Facebook and posts were deleted. I sent an instant message on Twitter, got a reply asking for my email address and then no response. I wrote a review on the App store and got a developer response to send an email, which I did. Why cant someone at this company provide me with an answer and free my Paypal Shopping Credit. All I wanted to know is how can I get my PayPal credit. I redeemed for $118.70.

AMASING I A 7.5k $ turned into 6.2k$ WONDERFUL

Why does every good idea have to sell out and become a plug for a bigger brand? The PayPal merger / takeover limits your options if you don't have a PayPal account / don't want one. You could redeem even $5 earlier, now you have to wait for at least $10 before you can redeem money. It takes a long time for your points to count.

Genuinely one of the best apps across web, highly recommend, ur literally saving money and getting rewarded

Customer service unresponsive when needed. My cash back was transferred and refunded because its not allowing me to accept via PayPal. Now that I am asking for an update they wont even respond. No updates and all.

Great!! Was buying clothes and it cost over £250!! Now its at £183 only!

One can no longer redeem rewards. Honey are not responding via email or chat, just taking their commission and offering nothing in return. I have disabled the extension and will use Coupert instead.

When you want to spend the points you cannot. Don't even bother trying to email them or calling paypal no one will help you so if your plan is to get a gift card with your points at some point it wont happen. JUNK!

Price history--you have to go to a separate page, it isn't very detailed, it doesn't go back 365 days so you can't see seasonal changes, it gives notifications for % changes when you're likelier to have a certain maximum price in mind, it says that anything above a 5% change is unlikely (when in fact an above 5% change is about as unlikely as the price changing at all which may be moderately unlikely) as if trying to set low expectations for itself and gain a positive perception. Ridiculous and overrated

What has happened with Honey? I have used Honey for a long time and it used to be easy to redeem points and be sent gift cards, however it has recently become terrible. I am not sure if this is linked to the link up with Paypal or not. I have tried repeatedly to redeem points for an Amazon gift card but nothing comes through and they keep getting refunded. I have made contact with the help team , which have been helpful reassuring me that it has been looked at, but nothing has changed. Frustrating especially when I have points to redeem.

Best coupons at a click of a button, as a university student I appreciate a huge chunk of cost cut out from my first laptop. Kudos to Honey!!!
