Such a game-changer. My computer runs so much more quickly now, and I'm able to stay so organized and re-visit tasks later on.
Exceptional Tab Manager.
I like that the company is being serious about privacy. I really like the idea of "data not accessible to anyone but myself". Great extension!
Tablerone is a great way tab manager if you adopt the work flow. Think for a microsecond before opening a tab to be sure to open in the proper window. It would be cool to have a 'move to window' to move a tab to another window from the Tablerone button.
I'm enjoying it so far. Piggy-backing off of bookmarks is a slick design. The only problem is that my bookmarks don't sync correctly on all devices, but that's a Chrome sync issue.
Very useful
if your like me and open a ton of tabs off a search page (so you don't have to keep backing out you can just close them). i open all tabs and then save session and reopen session and they are all in sleep mode and not dragging your bandwidth down. winning
Tablerone shows a lot of promise in providing a better way to organise the mess of windows and tabs that build up surprisingly quickly. It provides a very helpful interface to help with bookmark organisation and essential features in tagging and search. There's room for improvement but it's currently the best extensions I've found to managing browser chaos.
Very helpful and convenient.
I LIKE THIS EXTENSION IT IS HELPFUL AND MAKES YOUR WORK MORE EASY BY ORGANIZING YOUR SPACE WITH ONE CLICK YOU OPEN ALL THE TABS YOU NEED THAT YOU HAVE ORGANIZED BEFORE IT SIMPLIFY THE TASK IT CAN BE BETTER YET BY MAKING IT OPTIONAL TO ADD COLORS OR STICKIES OR STH LIKE THAT ( i love colors)
Very useful extension. I would recommend it highly.
it's awesome
I used to work with One-Tab, but finding all the features, it works great. What I like the most is the thumbnail preview....WOW
It is free and helps me organize my tabs according to my classes. I highly recommend this over other tab managers because it gives you a lot more freedom in how you organize your tabs.
I can't believe it took me so long to even imagine that something like this was available. Gone are the days I have managed windows and windows of so many tabs all at once. My Macbook Air was crying until I started implementing this. I am excited for where this will take me in terms of productivity. I am interested to find the next layer of workspace management where I can have a set of windows open up according to the work I want to do at the time. There does seem to be an issue where sometimes my workspaces don't stay saved and I have to recreate them. I am not going to let that take away from the 5 star review at this point. It's so life changing compared to where I was and it by and large works exactly how I'd hoped.
ONE Suggestion I would like to see and it's perfect. So I have 4 or so workspaces/windows open. School, work, personal, XXX content so on that I keep saved with this extension always. I wish there was an option where if I have 5 tabs open in one window/workspace of dog photos then it would save normally right with the shortcut or clicking the extension...that works fine. However, if I open up more tabs in that window I want it to automatically save that change without me having to always remember to use the shortcut or click the extension. If I close a tab I want it to automatically remember that action without me manually saving. I want that to be an option in settings tbh. So then I would be able to continue where I left off in my 5 workspaces without digging into my archives to find the tabs that were not saved because I forgot to manually save them with a shortcut or clicking the extension. E.G. opera web browser has this. You have 3 icons, for example ,each for a different window sort of/workspace on their sidebar similar to this extension in a way...you open your tabs on all 3 seperate workspaces and close the browser then when you open it up again it remembers the same tabs and you *continue where you left off*. No manual saving is needed. It just leaves it how it was. I wish that were the case here. BUT other than that I am very impressed and hands down it's the best tab saver and manager ever which is why it deserves a 5 star rating. It's simple, quick, helpful features that everybody would put to great use for. The best for students especially separating different subject courses. 100% TRY IT!!! :D
Not an exaggeration to say this is a memory saving tool. The days of having 70+ pages opened all at once using up your ram are over. This simple utility keeps a list on a rather reachable place and you pick and choose what you are going to pay attention next by clicking on it. As I said it saves MEMORY both RAM and BRAIN's.
A very handy tool!
Great extension for organizing sessions of tabs. This has been really helpful at work where I have a session per project and often have to close them out and reopen later as my priorities change. This has made organizing information so much easier.
As someone who on an almost daily basis that has 5-6 windows open and about 100 tabs in each window I can say tablerone has saved my life on more than one occasion.
App works great only thing i wish there was was some kind of sync feature to sync saved tabs on different computers maybe google drive integration or one drive and have it automatically sync a backup and automatically restore the latest backup on all other computers
Love the functionality that I didn't know i needed.
Awesome. Precisely what I was looking for, a fantastic way to grab things that you may have lost, especially when working at speed. Totally love it.
Excellent for tracking site visits!
Works great! Fits the bill for just what I needed. I would like to have the files work from a common shared file system where my multiple computers would use the same sessions. Right now I have to export and import sessions to make that work. Also, I did donate, however it still keeps interrupting me to donate.
Been using Tablerone for over a year now as my primary tab management app. I recently discovered the daily cleanup feature, which is a game-changer!
easy to use but the sessions are still confusing
Outstanding tab manager so far for me! Really save my time and energy
LOST ALL MY TABS after the uninstall (Tabs were open normally) Don't use it
add separation for Favourites and hierarchy would be nice. Like - Projects - project 1 - project 2 - ...
My saved tabs randomly disappeared. It might've been after it crashed? Either way, that's a lot of tabs I just lost. I refuse to continue using this if there's no way for me to get them back.
Never thought id say this, but: Tablerone > Toblerone Easy to use, quick, saves my time.
Tablerone has been exceptionally helpful and versatile for its intended function, but the pinned tab has been disruptive and likely will be for some time before I adapt. It could use some quality of life setting options. Ways that it has been disruptive for me: I typically close tabs using ctrl+w as I'm done with them, but this leaves behind Tablerone when all other tabs in the window are closed; when using ctrl+tab and ctrl+shift+tab to move between tabs, Tablerone will get in the way, which is disruptive when I only need to move between two or three important tabs; Tablerone resizes open tabs in odd ways when the extension is enabled or disable, so I can't choose to selectively use it easily. Having the option of not having a pinned Tablerone tab would be a helpful address; if having an open tab on each window is critical for Tablerone to function, options to 'skip' Tablerone when navigating with shortcuts would be useful, as would the Tablerone tab closing all other tabs in the window are closed. I don't know whether any of that could be implemented.
The forced tab was a deal-breaker for me. Which I was really disappointed that there is not option to hide it, because aside from that this would've been the perfect tab manager.
The extension allows me to recover all my windows after a reboot, but it's not clear to me why some of the sessions are archived, which include tabs I have just been using. Overall seems like a good thing.
I love the latest feature when you open a group of tabs, it won't load all of it simultaneously instead it will allow you to click on a particular tab(s); the rest of the tabs will be idle. Hope there will be future updates. This is already part of my everyday work.
I've got over a half-dozen Chrome profiles (I know...). However, this means that I've used a lot of Extensions, namely tab-condensing, organizing, thought / idea-saving Extensions. I like Tablerone so much that I find myself using the only Chrome profile that has it--even when it doesn't make sense (like, login info, etc saved in another Profile entirely). Idk, all I know is that you can tell that a lot of thought and care has been put into this and it hits the mark way more often than not.
Started using this extension to manage the tab clutter as sessions. And, the experience is quite good. The extension delivers what it promises. However here are my few suggestions to improve the experience (at-least for me): - Have a way/shortcut/single click approach to switch between the saved sessions. Currently I have to manually "save and close" the current session and "open all" a new session - Update the UI or add show/hide in the dividers which will help reduce scrolling when dealing with multiple sessions. - keep the side menu open. i.e. I can solve the above issue (workaround) by bookmarking what I use. But, now every time I have to open the sidemenu and do it, so, I just scroll my way down. - toggle to sync the sessions. As, I sometime use more then one device.
Nice extension but I don't like the mandatory pinned tab. There should be an option to disable it.
Great tool
Love it!
This is from the extension's storefront: ——— 100% privacy means: 1. The extension only saves locally 2. Anonymous usage analytics 3. No third-party data sharing ——— I'll explain what each thing signifies. The first point, where the application data is stored is security related, not privacy. So why is that stated here? Second, I visited your website and saw heavily customized clauses and vague descriptions regarding the privacy policy. At the end came a bunch of material that said we gather everything. Why does my tab manager monitor my website visits, geolocation, time, and mouse movements? While you're at it, would you like access to my camera and microphone on my device, or even better, full access to my local network? If you ask me politely, I'll also be happy to annotate any and all types of data you get from my system. The third point is useless; if you won't share the analytics, why track everything a person does? Why use three analytics engines (Plausible Analytics, MixPanel, AWStats)? At worst, the third point is a lie, and you sell the analytics data; at best, you're a customer of the data. And no, the purpose of improving your services is not an excuse that I'll let pass. You collect enough information to know the whereabouts of my distant relatives; I swear they are not located near your premises, and they also can't help you build a better service. Finally, I saw that opting out was present as an option (perhaps due to GDPR concerns), and for a particular analytics platform, the only described method for opting out was to run the browser with Javascript turned off. Come on, now you are being funny.
High CPU/MEM usage; Uses like 500MB mem for < 100 tabs and 60%+ CPU. Maybe a Crypto Miner or Russian Spyware
Really great to keep you tabs sane and useful.
So useful! This extension is way better than any other tab manager I've tried. It makes it so simple to save groups for later and doesn't have any annoying group limits. Love it!
Very complicated for the intended purpose. Has some annoying default behavior, which can't even be turned off, like closing all of the tabs. There is an option to not close them, but it does not work for me, it always closes. Also missing some obvious features, like an option to only save tabs in a window, instead of all chrome windows and tabs. The way it is, it also catches webapps I have open, or webpages I packaged to behave like apps.
TAbleron is great! I accidently closed my Chrome windows with 20 tabs and restarted my computer and I couldn't find my tabs when I opened Chrome but I looked in Tablerone tab and they were all there! Thanks!
我之前一堆tab开着,现在清爽了
Been using Tablerone for over a month now coming from another similar app. Very nice and useful extension to keep your tabs and sessions sanity. Really recommend
Former CBCTV investigative journalist turned technologist; also Random House novelist and screenwriter. I can't live without this—I'm researching 2-3 different threads/day, deeply (maybe dozens of links I post to Scrivener, down from 100s)...I'd be DOA without Tablerone. HINT: I'm on Mac so if you use Google/OS blend of apps, get Flycut (https://www.techspot.com/downloads/7139-flycut.html) and use BOTH: killer b/c Flycut archives URLs you've cut/pasted, searchably: BEST clipboard tool ever. I have shortterm memory loss issue: the combination TABLERONE/Flycut means I NEVER lose a critical piece of research. All that to say: THANK YOU TABLERONE!!
Only shows open tabs from the window where you open the website to this extension, instead of showing every tab from every browser window running.
You can't close the tablerone, close it and recreate a new one. This is annoying ?.
Really good tab manager, would recommed to use for tab management
Allows you to save memory and your tabs. The search function is very helpful when there are so many collected windows of tabs. Labeling the save windows keeps them searchable too.
most helpful
good
Love it and rely on it as an extension of my working memory! I use it in the Edge browser and have never encountered a problem.
Helps organise tabs. Especially being a student, I'm able to group tabs based on the subject.
Tablerone is an amazing tab management tool! I can have different tab groups for different types of work; these get saved and are easy to managee, close, and reopen when needed.
It is constantly being upgraded and becoming better and better. I tend to have many concurrent links open and Tablerone really helps manage those. Good job!
After trying out many different tab managers (really a lot!) this is by far the most well designed one in terms of functionality, usability and features. It combines so many plugins at once - session management, even bookmark management and performance management. Plus it constantly gets improved and even better very frequent.
SO useful to use during studying. I often get overwhelmed with too many tabs open, as does my computer so this is the perfect extension to stop that!
Useful extension, helps me save groups of tabs and reopen them later.
Great extension
This is definitely a life saver, time and again, it has shown me stuff i thought was lost forever.
This extension is awesome. I was about to give up on trying to find a decent tab manager, the others I tried were clunky and had stupid limits behind paywalls. I don't often bother writing a review, this outdid my expectations enough to make me.
Total life saver for me, a Product Manager, working with many groups of tabs in a day. There is a touch of a learning curve, but the video tutorials are more than sufficient. My only slight annoyance is that when I close all windows and then open a new window from scratch, it opens with a double set of previously-closed tabs from the last closed window. I checked my Chrome settings and that doesn't seem to be the cause. My workaround now is to always close previous windows with a new one already open. Aside from this small issue, this is a wonderful tool.
My favorite time saver
Tablerone is fantastic! It is well worth paying for despite being free at this time. I am finally very organized and highly productive with my tabs, collecting them into usable groups that can be opened, closed, edited, etc in an instant. They can also be searched in an instant. Even with 32gb, my MacBook had previously run hot and sometimes slow due to the demands of the Chrome browser. Tablerone is so efficiently designed (for example putting the most recently or frequently used group at the top of the list) that it is no longer necessary to keep chrome tabs open. I couldn't be more pleased.
This extension is such a time saver! It is by far the best I have tried to keep my tabs under control.
Fantastic!
I find it very useful to manage my chrome memory and sessions across multiple topics
Does exactly what it needs to do and does it well and simply. Just about the only annoyance is that since it keeps a persistent pinned tab open, my other tabs are offset by one when accessing them with Cmd-Number, which messes with my muscle memory a bit. Hope they find a way to fix that!
Sorry to give 1 star but I just lost all my saved sessions. Edit 02/nov/2022: From 1 star to 5 because the problem disappeared after I reinstalled Brave. It was probably a browser problem.
BEWARE! Not the most intuitive extension. Or I'm just an idiot? Clicking Save and Close doesn't save your tabs as a list to a file and close the interface but closes all 500+ of your open tabs. Without confirmation! Opening them all again after this mistake via the interface will take more than 5GB of RAM (roughly 1GB / 100 tabs I suppose?) and if your PC is ancient like mine this will take a LONG time. Also, the extension works by bookmarking all those tabs so say goodbye to any you already bookmarked as it will overwrite them and save them under a single folder! And may keep doing this automatically every time you launch the browser even if you start putting them back where they were. Maddening!! :( Disabled now. 2 stars for competent UI integration and frequent updates I guess.
The best looking UI among free tab/session management extension. I see that the developer actually put an effort to make it good looking. Although in terms of UX it wasn't that great. First, I couldn't get rid of that "Getting started" section about importing my tabs from a local file or from other tab managers extensions. That section was just wasting the space at the very bottom and it looks similar to your saved sessions. That hierarchal list layout with sessions sorted from the latest on the top and the oldest ones at the bottom is not that comfortable to use. I would rather group them in gallery view, since I don't really need to see the whole tab's name since I somewhat already remember what they are about, so it's possible to place at least 2 sessions in one raw. Cannot drag and drop tabs or select them with shift pressed as you would expect that in any file manager.
What about Firefox version of the extension? Would it be too much to modify `manifest.json` and change the API here and there in the code? I actually went and replaced the `permissions` in `manifest.json` with ```json "host_permissions": [ "https://tabler.one/*", "http://*/*", "https://*/*", "file://*/*" ], "permissions": [ "activeTab", "tabs", "bookmarks", "contextMenus", "alarms" ] ``` and I can load the extension in Firefox Nightly 107.0a1 (2022-09-20) (64-bit), comment out the updater command in `tab/tab.js` and it seems to work (albeit I haven't tested it extensively). extensiontest.com throws some warnings though: - `manifest.json` should be in version 3 format; - `content_security_policy` allows remote code execution and `eval`; - icon `19x19` is actually `20x20`; - function constructor is `eval`; - `extension.getURL` is deprecated; - unsafe assignment to `innerHTML`; - `eval` can be harmful. Note that I am not an extension dev, thus I cannot provide a patch/PR, however, I like your extension. Although I tried to switch to Vivaldi, I still prefer Firefox over Chromium-based browsers. Also note that I had to quit using Workona last year (due to their free plan restrictions) and I am still looking for a good replacement for it. Based on my minimal experience with Tablerone, it seems like a good alternative, however, I still miss some features from Workona (note that not all features are in Workona; also I tested Tablerone on FF): - [important] automatic saving all all tabs saved in a workspace (you call them sessions); - [important] keyboard navigation improvements: - a keyboard shortcut to show an overlay where I can search all saved workspaces and clicking on one (or pressing Enter) would open it and Shift-clicking (or pressing Shift+Enter) would open it in current window; - [important] move tabs from one workspace to another; - [imporant] option to sort workspaces by name/tags/...; - [important] in workspace list, have a list of open workspaces on top of all (including open) workspaces: - this actually already is the case, however, as the workspace list and tab lists are in a single, loooong view, it is not noticable at first sight; - [important] when the last tab in an unsaved workspace (window) is closed, it is not removed from Tablerone workspace (the closed tab is still in the workspace) nor the workspace removed, however, I would expect Taberone to remove the final, closed tab as well as the empty, unsaved workspace; - [important] rename `Archive` tag to `All`; - [important] add `Untagged` tag; - [important] add an option to archive a workspace (in Workona parlance); - [niceToHave] option to always show the on-hover buttons/actions; - [niceToHave] option to collapse the tab list into the workspace title; - [niceToHave] option to don't save specific URLs or URL patterns (glob or regex); - [niceToHave] re-open pinned tabs as pinned tabs; - [niceToHave] folders to group workspaces; - [niceToHave] get inspired by Workona UI: split workspace list from tab list; - [niceToHave] clicking on a tab in tab list, it would open the tab in the workspace, in which it is currently open, not in the currently open (selected) workspace; - [optional] resource management (like adding workspace-specific bookmarks and file attachments). And I think I have found some bugs (note that they might be related to FF only): - [Vivaldi + FF] QR code (generated when I hover over URL domain part) is always vertically filled (`height: 100 %`), which makes it only approx half visible when there are 20+ tabs open in a window. Also I think that QR rectangle should move downwards when I scroll down until the last (at least in my case) five tabs of the workspace are visible. When I select a single tab in the list, it generate the QR code. - [at least on FF] When I export all data, open workspaces are not exported at all, because when I reinstall Tablerone, it does not import them (the issue might be in not exporting workspace/session titles in the exported TXT file).
Love the plugin. However there are two feature requests. - Custom fav icon - Open session in current window
Officially can't live without it. This is by far the best all-in-one solution (e.g., session management, tab sleep/suspension). I depend on chrome for professional and personal life, and in 30 years on the internet, I can safely say this extension delivers on saving you time and increasing productivity when used correctly. Tips for everyone: Uninstall other extensions with similar features (e.g., tab management, session management, tab sleep/suspender, etc.) because unwanted conflicts can arise from having both operating at the same time. Please continue to iterate as the product vision seems promising when compared to other tab managers. I even donated $20 to show my appreciation and support—perhaps add a feature to remove duplicate tabs?
Breaks basic Chrome functionality. Overrides Ctrl+1 keyboard shortcut with no way to change it.
So much potential, but rendered utterly useless as a way to share tabs between people because the tab collections "go offline" which is a weird way of saying they self-destruct, and this behavior is by design. There's some explanatory text in the UI that tells us why they're doing it that way, but the explanation falls really flat. What on earth is the privacy issue? This one behavior makes the extension pretty much zero value for the central use cases of sharing collections of links with people. Disappointed.
It will waste your time and loose all your open tabs. Absolute garbage. Need testing and quality control before releasing. Closes all tabs when one tab is added to a new session. Closes multiple tabs and doesn't update list of tabs in a session you add it to when it is open somewhere else. And so much more, moving to another extension.
Thank you so much about the best tab manager I had use ?
I just discovered this tool and i have to admit, seems well thought out and put together. Great product so far !!
Hey I need support/help and can't find a way to contact Tablerone so leaving a review that hopefully gets read. I have 5 tabs open in 2 windows with Tablerone, however my Task Manager shows 33 Google Chrome tabs open. I read the Sleep Mode article and set it to automatically sleep after 10 mins of inactivity. I closed all windows and reopened and still shows 33 tabs and is using >80% memory. Checked FAQ section. Need this resolved ASAP otherwise need to change extension which sucks as the rest of it is great/easy to use
My experience with this was really awful. First it forced me to name the session, after doing so it closed all my tabs without asking. Then, when I tried to use its Open All feature all of them (+70) were tried to reloaded in memory at once freezing the browser, plus, when closing them they weren't added to Chrome's History>Recently Closed, which doesn't do that, so I had to wait for the browser to unfreeze. After restarting the browser my tabs opened but some were missing, so I used Recently Closed to bring them back (this time they were there because closing the browser puts them there), which caused the extension to duplicate them in the session, and now there were +140 tabs that were trying to be loaded in memory at once! This froze the entire system. I could work with those 140 tabs to close the duplicate ones by bringing them from Recently Closed without problems, why can't the extension work like that?
It constantly uses 100 to 150% CPU which is main reason I am looking for an alternative.
Sleek, crisp design. Absolutely love it!
fancy ux plus tons of good features, definitely 5 star
UX issues, missing features. I can't select multiple tabs, and MOVE them to a different session, or save them to a new session and close them. You have the option to "Add to", which makes a copy, but leaves those tabs in their current place and also clears your selection, requiring you to remake the selection if you wanted to close them. The select checkboxes are also small click targets which is quite annoying, and there is no keyboard accessibility.
Keeps erasing some of my saved tabs every few weeks.
This extension would be great if it worked. Unfortunately, if you save a session and then open it, at some random point it gets cloned a new session and the "Move To..." option for tabs disappears. You can only "Copy To...". That makes any kind of organizing your tabs into sessions impossible. Also all your Chrome tabs are now called "Tablerone and X other tabs" making it impossible to move tabs by the built-in Chrome menu. You really haven't thought about making this work with Chrome. Shame.
The extension is wonderful. It's similar to Workona for those familiar with that, but it's free. It makes managing entire web sessions easier but it would greatly benefit from two upgrades: The ability to set a preference to auto sort the named sessions alphabetically and the ability to create folders to nest named sessions so you don't have to scroll through every session you've ever named to find anything. The search function also only highlights matches; it would be far more effective if it only displayed matches, again so you don't have to scroll through everything. Still, I really like this over many tab managers I've tried and it shows enormous potential.
It's quite good, one of the better tab management extensions. Doesn't fit my own use case, but I appreciate the design and thoughtfulness put into it.
Finally, after 3 years, I can organize my bad habit of opening 100+ tabs a week. This app is a life saver for people who OCD or ADHD.
Been using it a few days now and loving it! I do'nt usually review extensions at all but for this one I'm happy to take a minute or so to mention how great Tablerone is. It works very well, clean easy to understand UI, great addition of webpage screenshots and roll-over QR codes... Genius! 4 Stars for now, just until there's a little more functionality added, then it'll be an easy 5 Star for me. Still some imporvements/added feature here or there I'd like to see, but otherwise really well done to the team. This will be replacing my long time used OneTab.
This is the best tool I found this year! I have a lot of tabs for different project/interest/purpose, before using tablerone, I need all of those tabs open, but now, I separated them into sessions, and use tablerone to manage them, so when I am on one session, I can close all other windows(with all those unrelated tabs). This free me both from computer memory and also free my mind a lot!
Clean, intuitive interface and super easy to use (they have short tutorial videos in the intro) with all of the keyboard shortcuts - which become second nature after the first couple of uses. Really accelerated my productivity and helps to organise my workflow seamlessly. No issues, no bugs and generally a delight to use and light on PC resources. I didn't know I needed this until I got it, now can't imagine my workflow without it!!
This App has SAVED my life OUTSTANDING. There was so much thought put into this app. It makes life so much easier . Truly the best extension I think i have ever used. Thank You so very much for this AMAZING ext. ???
This is crazy! Free or not free, I am surprised at how good the user interface of this extension is. This is not a bookmark manager like other tabs managers are, it is literally tailormade as a tabs manager. When I first opened it I was sure that I will keep it but I wished that I could add notes/labels to each tap so that I remember why I saved them in the future, then I realized that it already offers the option of adding notes. I love this extension; however, they can still make it better. For instance, if we could save sessions including the already grouped tabs that would be fantastic. That is almost so important as people who use such extensions normally have everything grouped as well. I would give this a 5 star, but I will keep it 4 for now only because there is still a room for improvement.
As a developer I loved this one. All other tab managers are bloated with unnecessary features and keep adding those. This one is so straightforward and useful. One thing missing is session management. I manage multiple accounts for web pages. I currently use Sessionbox and would love to manage browser sessions with one solution.
Wow. I've tried many tab managers over the years to manage my tabs. I've even had two different plugins installed at once for different features. This one does everything I need it to. Keep separate browser sessions for different research topics, or for home or work. Being able to visually see a list of tabs instead of needing to hover over them and wait for the tooltip. With ADHD I tend to open a lot of tabs. This extension saved my brain
Very good potential. However, this extension eats over 100% of CPU at all times, often between 150-200%, making it unusable for a tab addict like me who has about 150 tabs spread between 10 windows open at all times (which is ironic, considering this is designed to help people with lots of tabs) I'm very sad to have to deactivate this extension, because I quite like it. I'll check back in a year or two. For now Toby is my go-to, and I'll be on the hunt for another tab suspension solution. Goodbye for now, hope you get the resource usage under control. I'm on Linux by the way, in case that makes any difference (don't know why it would)
It is absolutely amazing, for me the only one Chrome extension that helps me managing tabs in a more productive way, saving time without copy-pasting links. The only one with a decent and pleasant interface. Thanks a lot.
Please add functionality Open Session in current window and Open Session in new window. Actually the manager seems to be okay but randomly opening sessions in current and new window. This is my only note about your nice extension.
Good, but buggy! Its annoying that everytime you close a TAB, a extension is opened on a new WINDOW.... At some point i had to disable the extension.
This is one of the best tools for people that use too many tabs. After another year of development and feature-additions, this may be the best option for many. While this tool is not the most feature-rich, it is unique in its approach. If you are skeptical, I highly recommend testing and continuing to test, despite any initial adjustment period resulting from a tool that archives your tabs periodically. While the first week can require some adjustment, once you become accustomed to the approach, you may find this is more effective than other tab managers. It's also much more flexible, providing one-click export as Plain Text, CSV, HTML, JSON, etc. The only minor shortcoming is the lack of features offered by similar tools. For example, most tools will allow an option to ignore "pinned" tabs, or ignore-rules. This allows you to keep certain tabs (email, etc) open. The other feature offered in most tab managers yet not yet included here, being the ability to drag-and-drop tabs between different groups, or combine groups (great for creating content-specific organized lists and/or bookmarking). Working around these features is only a minor inconvenience compared to the benefits this tool and its unique approach.
Great concept. But spanding large tabs list for more will flashing the screen (like endless monitor refresh 1HZ)
Extension developer seems to be hell bent on keeping the Tablerone tab pinned and always open. There no way to close it, there is no way to unpin it, there is no setting to turn this feature off. The always pinned tab is very annoying. Meaning that since the Tablerone tab is always open, every time you want to close all your tabs there's always the pinned Tablerone tab which you need to also close manually. Argh!
This is one of the best extensions. I have a gripe on this regarding deletion of a session in Archive. This delete button does not work normally in Archive. You have to try to click restore then delete from there. Then you can go back to archive tab and delete that specific session. This is a very tedious process. Please let us use the delete button on archive session for selected session instead deleting the entire archive. Hopefully this will be fixed on the next release. Thank you
This is a great extension. But I don't think it's a good idea that its tab is always pinned by force. There is even no option to change this. Tablerone creates and pins its own tab when a new window opens. When you drag a tab and turn it into a new window, it mostly causes problems. The dragged tab and the new tablerone tab become separate windows, or even chrome freezes. I use M1 MacBook, so I don't think it's a performance issue.
After all those extensions (many of them paid) tablerone is taking over two crucial workflow positions. Performance assurance for turbulent & heavy browsing and tab storing & sorting. UI is the type of lean that looks too simple while everything is there. I would love to see a paid version as I need this in my life and don't want to rely on other's appreciation of code art :D
All I want is a one-click option to save a window of tabs TO A FILE, and the option of opening the file later to restore the tabs. Taberlone says it offers this feature. It doesn't.
This is hands down the most essential Chrome extension! I have ADHD and am a highly visual person, this means I need to keep all my tabs readily available to quickly reference. Tablerone makes it so easy to keep my life and work projects organized and is very user friendly. It's so easy to set up and run with I highly recommend for anyone who does a lot of research, works on multiple projects (designers I'm lookin at you), has ADHD or just likes to keep track of a lot of things on the web!
It's great but I give 3 stars cause have no dark theme and 3rd party dark or night theme plugins couldn't work in it
amazing
Love the extension, excelent replacement for OneTab.
I am a new user for this extension and absolutely love it so far! My main complaint that this program solves is being able to retrieve groups of tabs after a computer undergoes a scheduled restart. All those tabs are lost, and you only have the next first Chrome launch to attempt to retrieve them. This extension solves that so beautifully :) The support/dev team is incredible too - very responsive and willing to tackle new feature requests or assist where they can!
I honestly have no idea how this doesn't have way more users and people rating it. I've never rated an extension before but this plugin is everything I've wanted in a plugin and deserves a 5 star rating. I'm constantly opening a bunch of tabs and then going off to another task while I leave the window open for "later". For example, I will open 50 different tabs each with plugins for ZSH. I'm almost half way through them but then it comes time to start working my job (work from home, same computer). I don't want to lose all the tabs I had opened, so naturally I leave them open while I am working. This just makes my computer super slow the whole time I'm working. I could technically rely on browser history but then I would just lose all my progress because I've already sorted through half of them and closed the ones I don't want. With this extension though, all I have to do is click "Close and Save" and it will close put everything into a session. I can name it, tag it, and heart it. So now I can just open up the session and continue right where I left off form. It's super convenient! It seems fairly new so I hope more people start using it so that the developers have a reason to keep developing and implementing new features!
Amazing! Clean, sleek, and intuitive. Can't believe this extension is free! Edit: This extension still work beautifully, but it looks like the website is down for some reason? I can't access it at all, meaning the guides are unavailable at the moment... Any news on when it will be back up? Thanks again for such a beautiful extension!
super handy extension, great for productivity :) handling of tabs is a bliss and so is saving RAM in chrome by putting unused tabs to sleep. Using it every day!
Love it! It saved my 7-year-old computer from all those RAM-hungry tabs and offered a user-friendly way to save and manage hoards of tabs I could hardly keep track of using other similar extensions. Really like the flexibility of settings that let you customize it to your liking and your way of working. And, it's getting better and better with every update.
Switched from the Great Suspender to Tablerone and totally staying! Easy to use, lot's of functionality for advanced users and even better at its core. Bring your Chrome load down, save some time and work it from there ppl
Never enough RAM, due to Chrome eating it? Use this excellent extension. It will save you Exabytes for RAM! ;) And yes, it can also help you escape from tab-hell!
I don't consider myself to be a "tab hoarder", but I do organize bookmarks (and tabs) obsessively. What I really like about Tablerone is that I can customize it to my needs. I can save all tabs - or even better, just the selected ones - with one click and later re-file them as I please. It definitely helps me organize my research and work. Recommended!
Brilliant extension!
My favorite extension! It made me more organised, saves so much time navigating through clutters of tabs. It makes it super easy to quickly open everyday sessions and manage more temporary tabs into collections. I could finally get rid of the ugly bookmarks bar. Now I just press Cmd+1 and my bookmark collections are organised with a sleek design. Brilliant!
Loving the export function and a clear overview of open tabs. A breath of fresh air!
Finally have all my tabs under control and no good content lost. Sleek & to the point, would recommend!
